Cons: Tight! I was able to get this boot on with thin socks, but the friction from my fuzzy wool socks made the boot too thick/tight for my typically 14" calves. The right boot was slightly darker than the left boot, strangely; though I doubt other people would notice. Pros: Both the dark brown and sand vintage colors are beautiful and easy to match. The heel is not too high; super stable. Sizing: For my typically 8 foot, I bought 7 in Frye.

These are very "scrunchy", which I should have expected given the name! However, in the video, they are shown worn straight or slouchy. The leather is super soft and thin - I think slouchy is the only option unless they fit you super tight in the calf. I could not figure out how to get them over my skinny jeans without visible lumps and twisting. They did fit true to size in the foot. Not the boot for me...the search continues!

I just returned this boot. Although it was beautiful with soft leather, a nice foot bed and great heel height, I felt the shaft leather was too soft, almost like a stretch leather. I wanted something more substantial that would stand up a bit if i wear it over jeans or under a skirt. I normally wear a 7.5 shoe and this boot fit with a bit of extra room. Enough for thicker socks in winter but did not feel too large at all. Shaft fit my calves, but like I said, a bit clingy and stretchy.I will order a different style and can't wait to get my Frye boots. Oh and Zappos is great. It's easy and quick delivery and the same for returns.

The top part is unlined, soft and shapeless, while the bottom is heavy and massive. They feel like slipper socks attached to a block of wood. I have a pair of Frye boots bought several years ago, and they are beautifully made.

Boot is beautiful and very soft leather; however, the upper leather ripped on the second time of putting them on - so upset because the boot is gorgeous but must be returned. Will have to look at other Frye boots, because I do love Frye.

I absolutely loved these boots. They're extremely comfortable for walking, and gorgeous; while the upper leather is certainly very soft, I thought it had plenty of structure and stood up just fine with a skirt. They were very hard to get on and off, though, and to my great disappointment, the back seams very quickly pulled open. When this happened to my first pair within days of starting to wear them, I figured it was a fluke; when it happened to the replacements (this time after a month and a half), I decided it's time to move on completely.

These boots are beautiful. I was so excited when I saw them on sale! However, I had to send them back. I wear a 9 1/2, which is the size I ordered. However, I couldn't get my foot into the boot because the leg was too narrow and my foot was too long to fit! I'm not sure who designed these, but you would think with a quality brand like Frye, they'd get the measurements right. Of course Zappos was the bomb, no complaints there. I was able to return them with no problems.
