Let me begin by saying I wanted to love this coat. It's flattering and warm. It's slim fitting, but I fit constantly in a medium, my usual size (5'6", 36D). However, perhaps I received a defective coat, but from the moment I tried it on, it began shedding down feathers everywhere. I had to return it.

I purchased the Patagonia Tres Parka online based on positive reviews and Patagonia's reputation for excellent quality outerwear. Though the quality and versatility of the parka did not disappoint, the fit was not what I was looking for. Though I like a bit of tapering at the waist for a flattering fit, I found the waist shaping on this parka to be too severe. I will be returning this item as it would be difficult for me to wear anything other than a very fitted light sweater comfortably under this jacket. I am 5' 6" 130lbs and ordered a size Medium. I have included garment measurements below for reference. All measurements were taken on the flat: Across Chest (1 inch below armholes, straight across garment): 20.5 Waist at narrowest point: 18 inch Bottom Sweep: (following the hem contour) 25.25. The fit is stylish and fitted, the hood is comfortable and doesn't droop over your eyes, and the pockets are lined and warm. The only drawback to this expensive coat is that the inner down lining isn't thick enough to keep out the feathers. I have feathers stuck to every sweater and they are flying everywhere.
