I really like this bag. I am very picky and was apprehensive about trying a messenger bag. But I wanted to be able to get to my stuff without having to take off my back pack. This bag is very comfortable and roomy. It can carry my 15in laptop, two large texts, and various other items together. It's very well made- I look forward to using it for many years.

Love everything about this bag - versatile for travel, biking, hiking or work. It totally fits my needs. So well made it looks like it will last for a long, long, time.

Bought this bag for my husband for Valentine's Day. He really likes it a lot. He needed a waterproof bag. It also expands to hold a jacket, etc. Well made.

Excellent messenger bag. Lightweight, place for laptop, paperwork, and an organizational section (pens, pencils, phone, etc.). Worth every penny!

Great Bag. I bought it to take to and from work, incl. laptop. and as carry on for flights. Nice size, excellent quality, lots of compartments. When I opened the box my 25 year old son loved it so much I gave it to him and bought another! Highly Recommend.

This messenger bag is great. At first I ordered the smaller version but it was a little too small for my needs. I recently had shoulder surgery and needed a bag that wasn't demanding on that shoulder and this one came through. It has plenty of room to fit my tablet, Work laptop with accessories, an extra phone and camera plus i can keep some layers in the main pouch for these colder days that are coming all too soon. I also have space for important papers and enough pockets to remain organized as well. It's very durable and even with all the stuff I carry around its still very comfortable to take on the train and walk around downtown without feeling like I'm carrying a climbing pack. It also keeps things inside the flap dry and the waist strap takes the excessive swing away while your walking along with a nicely padded shoulder for added comfort. Plus it just looks good, not too tacky. Patagonia has won my approval. Thanks Zappos for another amazing product.

Love the bag...does exactly what I needed it to. May be a little big for my MacBook Pro, but I understood that when I got it. I do wish there were some larger compartments in the front pocket for chargers, etc. That's the only trouble I've had!

Fantastic bag - plenty of room, intelligent pockets and other accessory holders. Water bottle holder on the outside is a nice touch. Very comfortable, securely holds laptop (13" in my case, looks like room for more).

Great bag, but on the small side for a true commuter bag. Will fit a large laptop and a few notebooks, but no room for thermos, work clothes, etc. Unfortunately, this is the largest size, and the black hole has a few design flaws. Sorry, Patagonia.

My son loves this bag. It's a great lightweight but spacious bag that's "cool" enough for a college student as well as ecofriendly. It's tougher to find such a bag for those picky students who do not want a backpack.

This bag is great! It fits everything you may need and is super supportive. I use it for biking to and from work and I can fit my lunch, work folders, a 64 oz water bottle, wallet, a raincoat, and a change of clothes with some room to spare! All in all worth the money!

I bought this bag for work to carry a small laptop, an iPad and assorted paperwork to off-site meetings. I am extremely happy with this bag. The size is right for me, the quality is excellent, and the design is great.

Love this bag! I thought it would hang down to my waste like a purse. Guess I'm just uneducated about 'messenger' bags. Made for bicyclists for sure. Still cool though. :)

Perfect bag. Casual but business-like enough. Holds my 15" Macbook Pro in a Tom Bihn hard-sleeve with plenty of room to spare for jacket, book, charger, etc and is never awkward to carry. Plus, love the reflective strip when I'm on my bike, and the price is right! There may be a better all around bike/work bag out there for as reasonable a price, but I haven't seen it.

Love this bag. Strap is nice and strong. My 15-inch computer fits perfectly. I was looking for a bag that wasn't bulky and could hold both my laptop and workout clothes (as I ride the bus to work and don't want to carry two bags). This works great and fits my needs. I wish there was one more zipper pocked on the front, but that's a very minor complaint.

This bag is great! I bought it for a trip overseas, mainly for my husband to use as our 'daypack', but I will be using it as well because it looks really cool! It worked really well on our trip - he looked great carrying it and it held a lot of stuff. And the two (or three?) zipper compartments held books and other items he needed to get to easily. I highly recommend this bag!

Love this bag! Fits my Dell Latitude E6530 perfect! Also lots of room to store an extra binder, pens, calculator, etc.

The bag is great. I have a heavy laptop with a large protective case (making the whole package about 15.5 inches) but it all fits comfortably in the bag and never feels like there is too much weight for the bag to take. I thought the lack of a zip inside would be a problem but the design of the outer flap is excellent and there is little chance of rain getting in when closed properly.

Love this bag! I needed something for traveling for work that would fit my essential and laptop…this fit the bill! The strap is comfy and the bag sits at just the right place on my back. I got the pink colors and they are so pretty!

This bag is excellent quality and really comfortable to wear. It easily fits my 15 inch MacBook Pro + iPad + Charger + books + wallet + water bottle etc. It is a little bit bigger than I had expected and at first it felt a bit bulky because I have a small frame. Also the actual color of the bag is much greener (think St Patricks Day green) than the turquoise color shown in the picture.

Great bag. Excellent quality. I'm a woman, 5'6. I did not want a ridiculously large bag (i.e. some of the Timbuktu varieties). I will say that it is not small, but it doesn't look really stupid on my frame. It fits my laptop nicely, which is about 16 inches, with plenty of room to spare for some of my art supplies, sketchbook, a mouse and a tablet. It is roomy but not overly so. I like the colors; I think they're really cool. All around, very happy and glad to be rocking the Patagonia label because this company has major integrity. If you don't know much about the company, do a little research. Their catalogs are INCREDIBLY honest about the sourcing of their raw materials and they will often give you an exact percentage of how much renewable matter was used and also an explanation as to why they had to use something in some cases that was not renewable. I just think this is such a cool company. I would rather pay a little extra to get something high quality that will last a long time and to also support a major shift towards higher consciousness in product design that takes the environment into account. Seriously, really glad I bought this bag. If it's not your style, check out their other stuff or do research and aim to support an equally ethical company. Gonna go for a bike ride with my new bag today. Cheers!

Great. Love this bag. I had a hard time deciding so I ordered the Half Mass, the Critical Mass, one bag from Osprey and one from Marmot so I could see them all in person. The other bags were all fine but the Half Mass was definitely the best in my opinion. It has a lot of room without being bulky. It's comfortable. The strap is comfortable (I didn't have any trouble with extra slack in the strap). The elastic pocket for a bottle of water is super convenient. It's Patagonia so the quality is great. All in all a really great bag. Unless you're carrying a lot of stuff the Half Mass is probably plenty big. The Critical Mass seemed pretty huge in my opinion. Great bag. Would strongly recommend it.

I love this bag! I use it for school because the traditional backpack is too narrow. This bag holds everything and does not break my back when carrying it. The wide strap makes it much more comfortable and when it is diagonally across it distributes the weight in a much better way than a backpack. Also, got it to travel! Perfect for carry on for a change of clothes, iPad, and a few snacks. You won't regret this purchase!

Love this bag! It was exactly what I was looking for and comfortably fits my Macbook, several binders and a textbook. Very comfortable fit, too. I would definitely recommend this! I also love the extra pockets for water bottle or umbrella, keys, and all of the inner pockets for organizing pens, gum, flash drive etc etc. Thanks Zappos!
