This is a very comfortable shoe! Have not worn Ecco in a while, but wow are they comfortable. Hope they are built to last a while.

These shoes may not be the most stylish but if you're on your feet all day these are a must have purchase. They are comfortable beyond belief. Well worth the investment and they wear like iron. I'm on my second pair now.

Awesome shoe! Comfy and look nice. I bought them because a different Ecco was out of stock, love these!

This is not only a great looking shoe but crazy comfortable. Sturdy yet feather light. Classic looks but the leather is a little different than the zillion other boring dark brown shoes out there. A little pricey but you do get what you paid for.

My usual dress shoe is an Allen Edmonds or J&M, however I have high arches and my feet tend to hurt if I am on my feet for long periods of time. I tried these at the recommendation of a friend and I am extremely happy with the purchase. I wear these 3 days per week and they have held up extremely well. I polish them once or twice a month with quick brushings weekly and they do not look much different than the day that I purchased them (1 year). I will defintely purchase these and other ECCO shoes in the future.

I am an Ecco fan but I had ordered the New Jersey style first. They weren't comfortable like Ecco's are known to be - actually, they hurt! I called customer service and they were fantastic! They helped me exchange the New Jersey for the Seattle Apron Toe Tie. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! They are so comfortable; what I expected from Ecco. Definitely well worth the difference in price - if your feet hurt, you're miserable. Thanks to Zappos Customer Service- they are why I am a loyal customer!

This is the second pair of this style for my husband. He wears them daily to work and puts a lot of miles on them. They have a classic design coupled with unusual comfort for a dress shoe. The previous pair lasted several years which is a good value as they keep their shape and look good. He is very picky about his shoes as he has problems with his feet and most shoes cause him pain. I checked other online sites for pricing and found Zappos to beat the others plus the free shipping takes the hassle out of finding one has the wrong size. Also, the warranty of one year is very generous and makes us confident that this company stands behind its shoes. Bravo Zappos!

Over 2 years, I've been wearing this shoe twice a week for work. Regular polishing and shoe trees maintain the leather. Well built, quality shoes.

Excellent shoes. Very comfortable right out of the box, and even better 6 months in. Solid construction -- I wore my previous pair of (very similar) Eccos to work nearly every day for about 4 years. Not going to win any design awards, but fashionable enough.

Very nice looking dress shoe and very comfortable too. Fit is very true to size. This is a classic look shoe that goes with khakis or a suit and everything in between.

Just received my second pair of ECCO Seattle Apron Toe Tie shoes from Zappos. I purchased my first pair only a few weeks ago. I am in love with these shoes! I've never written a review about anything, but I just had to write one about these shoes. Not only are they very light and comfortable but they have excellent arch supports (this was a must-have for me) and you can see for yourself they are quite stylish. No question about it, this is the most comfortable and best looking shoe I've ever owned and I am well into my 50s. For years, I bought Alden shoes--and they are very excellent shoes--but the ones I wore are now over $500 a pair at most places, and that was my limit. I can almost buy three pairs of ECCO Seattle shoes for that price. I will be happy if they hold up for three years, but some reviewers have said they will last much longer. Lastly, I want to mention that these shoes have those soft rubber soles and are much like wearing those running shoes with the air pockets in the soles; they are soft and quiet, yet very supportive. No more 'clip-clop' sound on hard floors and no more slipping on polished concrete!

Great shoes so far. Very accurate description online, and quicker than expected service from Zappos.com. I was replacing a similar shoe no longer made by Ecco, after wearing them for five years and having them re-soled once. I hope to get the same wear out of these.

I have worn these (rust) 5 days a week for over a year and the soles and heels are showing surprisingly little wear. Full disclosure: I rarely walk more than half a mile at a time in them. They are light, comfortable, and have decent arch support. I think they are a little snug, and will order one size up next time. And, I have actually gotten a few compliments on their good looks.

All in all, this is a very good shoe. It's stylish and was comfortable to wear for a extended sessions straight out of the box. A break-in period is really not necessary for these. One particularly nice feature is the toe box. It's wider and roomier than the toe box of a typical dress shoe, but without resorting to the somewhat cartoonish width proportions featured in many of European styled shoes today. So you end up with the best of both worlds - you get all the comfort of the Euro clown shoe, yet with a more traditional look as a bonus. There's only one aspect of the shoe that keeps me from awarding it five stars across the board. The visible portions of the heel appear to be made of a high density foamy material rather than the smoother, more reflective rubbery material that is customarily found on the heel of a dress shoe - particularly one that's as expensive as this. So while I'm sure there are comfort benefits to this, the net result is that this construction choice ends up cheapening the look of the shoe ever so slightly.

I love Ecco shoes. I have been wearing them with my suits for the past seven years and have never gone wrong. I bought these to replace a pair of black Ecco loafers I also bought on Zappos. Just be advised that the European sizing means they will fit a little larger than you may like. My foot is exactly size 10 so a 44 fits, for the most part. I have brown loafers that fit perfectly, but my black loafers felt a bit oversized (all my shoes are size 44). As I wore them in over the next couple years, they got a little loose but by then they were so worn I replaced them with these shoes. To remedy the size problem, I bought these with ties because I could tighten them around the middle to fit better. Any Ecco dress shoe takes a shine beautifully if you're into that kind of thing.

Not nearly as comfortable as my Clarks. Was looking for something that could be worn both casually and with a suite, but these weren't comfortable enough for everyday.

I really wanted to like this shoe. Ever since I discovered Ecco brand shoes 8 years ago, they have been all I've worn. I was, however, severely disappointed with the comfort of these shoes. At first I thought they just needed to be broken in, however after a few months, I realize this shoe is not for me. After walking in them for about half a mile, the pain becomes so bad on the top of my foot, that it causes me to limp. On the plus side, the shoes themselves look great.

Honestly, I expected more for the price and even more from Ecco. A year after buying the shoe, I noticed a huge crack at the bottom of one of the pairs. I am sure I performed no stunt to create that big a crack. Anyway, long story short, it is a very poor quality product.
