Not as good as I'd hoped - They look good and initially feel good but after two or three days the rubber sole feels too soft and I get a sinking feeling. The arch support is not enough to compensate for that. Not good for people with back problems. I feel for the money I could have done just as well with a much cheaper pair from just about anywhere else. Also the leather in-sole stains your feet.

Cute, but oh so slippery! Love the look and at first was much more comfortable than the sandals I had walked in all day at the mall. After the initial wearing the leather surface got more and more slicker with each wearing to the point that they slipped around so much on my feet they were extremely dangerous to walk in, especially up and down stairs. I tried cleaning the leather with various cleaners to no avail. I don't know if the slippery leather would be such a problem if the straps had not stretched out until they are very loose now and allow my foot to move around a lot while walking. All in all, these are super cute and would be great if not for these 2 problems: very slippery foot bed and straps which become very loose. I have tried to wear these many times and just cannot walk in them!

Worst flips ever worn! Sorry Reef fans but I bought these because of all those great reviews and found them to be so loose they fall off my feet when I walk. Not too safe when you live in a house with 3 flights of stairs. I also don't like the leather insole which feels super slippery. I simply cannot wear these but found a great pair of Scotts flips while in Kauai last summer which is what I wear every day in addition to my Keens.

OUCH!!! I ordered these a few days ago, and I love the look of them, however, they hurt like hell! The actual fit on my foot is good, but the strap isn't as flexible as I thought, and it's digging into the top of my foot. It's been 3 days now, and they still haven't stretched out. I've owned reefs before, and have never had this problem. I'm still hoping that they will stretch out soon; otherwise I will need to buy a different pair.

Not typical Reef - I have worn Reef flip flops for years and loved the comfort, longevity and style. This pair looks great but the thong part cut my feet. Took them on vacation and tried to wear them but kept cutting. I threw away the box and packing slip so I couldn't return. As usual Zappos was excellent and shipped promptly.

Not what I thought - I have owned a pair of Reef thongs for 3 years and loved them. They were beginning to show their age so I thought I should get a new pair. These new Reef Butter are nowhere near as comfortable as my old pair. I basically don't wear the new pair; they are stiff, hard to walk in and plain uncomfortable. I could have gotten the same uncomfortable feeling in a cheap pair of thongs for a quarter of the price.

I am very disappointed with these shoes after reading the great reviews others have given them. First, they are not at all cute which would be ok if they were comfortable but I've had Band aids on for a week after wearing them for a couple days. They are heavy for flip-flops and the straps rubbed against my skin. Most people don't seem to have problems but I wanted to make sure any future potential buyers were aware that not everyone loves these shoes.

This shoe was too wide and too big. The color is pretty but too much black takes away from the appeal.

Reef changed this shoe - I had this shoe in 2 colors for 3 years. I ordered 2 pairs (White & Black). The white were exactly as the ones purchased 3 years ago. However, I have found that in Black and Brown my size is shorter and narrower. Very disappointed with Reef.

Strap Left Blisters All Over My Feet - First, I have to say that I love my other Reef shoes. I was really excited to have a little height in a flip flop, and bought the brown. They were stiff and so uncomfortable. I thought they'd be ok and wore them out for a few hours. When I got home my feet were bleeding and full of blisters. I'm going to see if they can be returned.

Just Awful! Quite possibly the worst flip-flop EVER. So uncomfortable. I saw a friend wearing these and wanted some because of the height of the heel. Big mistake. I agree with another reviewer; my feet slip off, too. The footbed is SO hard and stiff. Really weird fit. Skip these and try Rocket Dog flops. So much better.

Terrible - please read before purchasing! I have never written an online review before, but felt compelled to after buying two pairs of these sandals based on the stellar customer reviews. I have been a loyal Reef wearer for many years, but I have a major problem with these shoes in that due to the leather on the sole, my feet constantly slip off the side. I just returned from a vacation and it's a miracle that I didn't break my ankle with the number of times that I slipped! Unfortunately since I have already worn them, I cannot return them - be very careful! These flip-flops are terrible!

Black was defective--other colors okay. I ordered 4 pair (3 from Zappos, 1 from another website). They were all the same size, just different colors. All of them fit except the black (the color I really wanted). Zappos sent a replacement black pair; however, still too small. Now I understand all the other reviewers who complained about the shoe being too tight/small. I ended up keeping a brown pair--very comfortable--almost no break in period. I love my Reef Butters, but beware of the black ones.

Not comfortable as you would expect w/ Reefs! These look fine, but are not comfortable at all. They are very heavy, which causes a lot of strain on the top of the feet when you walk and is unlike most sandals and Reef ones specifically, that are lightweight. I plan to return this if still possible.
