Pretty, comfortable shoes. I have a narrow foot and the elastic is very helpful at keeping the shoes from slipping at the heels. There is a little extra room along the sides of my foot, no more than usual for me. Wide toe box is a plus for older (65+) feet and bunions, arch support is adequate. Ideally there would be a little more cushioning, but for most days these are fine.

Dang! I really like the styling of these shoes. Love the color & the accent of orange. BUT, the toe box is way to shallow. My toes bang against the top of the shoe. And it's not the size, it's just the shape. Sooo.... I gotta send these back. Sigh... wish they'd fit. So, bummed. :-) Four stars for overall since they seem well constructed & felt comfortable except for the "little" problem of the toe box. Gave them 2 stars for comfort for that reason. Style is way cute. In case this is useful: I have short toes, wide feet, high arch & instep & narrowish heel. These were comfortable in width & I didn't slip in the heel particularly. I was distracted by the shallow toe box. No room for my toes to move. And it's not the overall size. It's the toe box. Returning them...

These are very comfortable shoes, but they have an elastic belt that felt too tight when you wear them with socks. I wanted to use them for a trip to Italy but needed to use socks since the temp will be about 50. I returned them.

After reading the reviews, I thought this would be a cute, comfortable go-everywhere shoe. Unfortunately the footbed isn't nearly as soft and cushioning as it looks in the photo -- it's more like a harder, non-padded sole. After I put in an insert, the footbed felt much better but the shoe overall was too small, and it was too late to return it. I kept trying to stretch it out since I'd paid so much for it, but in the end, I had to give it away.

This shoe was a little large in length since I wear between a 5 and a 5.5, and ordered the Eur36. I would have been fine with a thin sock, had the strap not been too tight. I have a this foot, so a larger size wouldn't have worked. It is a cute and comfortable shoe, but they need straps with more give.

These shoes look great, and come in wonderful color combinations. They are comfortable also. What more could you ask for in a shoe?

These shoes are truly comfortable -- light as air. They feel great and are cute with jeans and other pants.

These are great! They haven\'t given me any blisters. So far they are really comfortable for walking, which is why I purchased them. I think they will look okay with both skirts and jeans. Recommended for people who walk a lot.

Archopedica shoes are extremely comfortable. That said, it isn't easy to find a perfect fit for a size 5.5. I initially tried the 36 but they were too large. I tried a 35 and was concerned because they felt a bit short but decided to keep them anyway. I'm happy with them and have worn them enough that I can recommend them as a daily shoe. They are comfortable even while racing through a busy airport to avoid missing a flight. In my opinion, they are not as comfortable as Mephistos, but at this price point, are an outstanding alternative. Nor are they are stylish as Arche, but much more reasonably priced.

I love this brand of shoes. I have had two other pairs. This year I purchased three pairs of this style in three different colors. They are soft and very comfortable. The stretch elastic over the top of my foot is a bit tight after wearing them all day. I hope my foot will adjust. I love the color combinations!

Thesse are great shoes! I bought them for a cruise to Alaska, for walking etc. I'm breaking them in, but so far they haven't needed this much. They are comfortable and not too clunky as were some of the shoes that are great for walking long distances. They were true to size.

Almost great. For some reason, the arch support felt like it was placed too far back in the shoe, but I have very high arches, so they probably would work for others. Leather very soft and the straps seemed just right -- not too tight, not too loose. They seem to run wide, so people with narrow feet might want to adjust accordingly.

Beautiful Shoe! I so wanted to keep these. Got them in the bronze color - very lovely. Shimmering, but not too much. Unfortunately, I have a narrow heel, and even in my size, my heel would come right out of them when I walked. I have flat feet, but it seemed like the arch would be adequate, also. Too bad I couldn't keep them.

No half sizes is a problem for some of us - I really love this shoe.I originally ordered this shoe in a 39, since I almost always wear an 8. The 39 was way way too big. I'm now wearing the 38, and while it causes no pain (which I suppose means its comfortable)and I can walk miles in the shoes, I'm always aware that I'm wearing shoes. I don't know that this is really a problem, but it's making me consider sending back the second pair I bought (in another color).

I had owned a pair of these shoes for over five years. They were great travel shoes, comfortable from the get go. They bit the dust on a recent trip to Israel. My mission was to replace them. I bought them in the same size, different color. The new shoes felt too small. I thought about returning them for a different size, but I really didn't like the leather. Even when my previous pair was new, the leather was much softer. I also didn't like the color. In the photo, the pewter appeared to have a purplish cast which I liked. In actually the pewter is a charcoal grey.

Not as comfy as they should be...their boots are great, but these make my hammertoe hurt, no support under the arches, and the heel rubs. Too bad! They're cute

I bought these shoes to wear on a trip to Europe thinking that they would be both attractive and comfortable to wear for walking. I am still happy with the way they look, though the elastic can cut into my high instep and make it swell, but they are a bit hopeless as walking shoes. The arch support is minimal and the sole is just almost OK. They appear to be good walking shoes, but the appearance is deceptive.

Bought these for two weeks of walking in Italy. Thought they were cuter than sneaker type walking shoes. Wore them at home a couple of days prior to trip and thought they would work. The reality is the heel rubbed blisters and the elastic bands were uncomfortable by the middle of the day. Ended up wearing flip flops that I threw in my suitcase last minute for shower shoes. Would not recommend these shoes if you are walking a lot. Will donate them, probably too worn to return.

I ordered these shoes in silver and loved them so much I ordered the bronze. The color is great and matches a lot of items. My feet are really narrow and the ball of my foot is often painful, these shoes help prevent the pain and the elastic keeps the heel from slipping and the shoe on my foot really well. When I received the bronze pair, the right shoe feels a half size smaller than the left shoe and either of the silver pair. Zappos didn't have another pair so I hope it stretches as I walk, but I wish this brand had more consistency in it's leather shoes. This happened once before with Arcopedico leather and not with the stretchy classics though.

I bought two pairs of this shoe and have had to give both away. Although adorable and comfortable, at first, due to my high instep, the elastic bands cut off my circulation and caused my ankles to swell. No amount of stretching resolved this, so I gave both pairs to my niece, who has lower instep.

I ordered 4 pairs of Arcopedicos - all in the same size I have worn for a couple of years. These were much thinner in the toe box and harder on the bottom than I had come to expect. I think they are adorable - but were unwearable by me.

You know, for $145.00 your feet should feel like heaven in these shoes, but alas, they don't. Not nearly enough padding on the soles of these shoes. Cute style though. Back they go.

Pretty disappointed in these. I have another pair of these shoes that I got about 10 years ago and have totally worn them out so decided it was time for a new pair. These are so much narrower than the other ones that I will return them. I know the 10 year old shoes have stretched out some, but this is ridiculous. I don't remember if they once came in a C width, but at present the only option is medium width.

The toe box on these is vertically shallow, so you'll feel the leather pressing down on the tops of your toes. Also, the length seems short for a size 38. Width was good for my moderate bunion, style was funky-cute. However, no arch or foot support whatsoever. The inside is unlined. Insole glued down and not removable. Even if it was replaceable, there would be no room for an orthotic in the toe area. Most shallow toe box I have ever encountered.
