Love these shoes! Had the original Nike Free 5.0 but these are more stylish. Really cute and comfortable. I always go up a size for sneakers. The size 8 fits perfect. I am usually a 7.

Loved the look/color of the shoe. The color I wanted was back ordered. Totally wish I ordered half a size larger. I didn't really realized until I had worn them out. Oh well. I'm hoping they'll be more comfortable once I break them in. I'm sad because I really, really heart them.

I bought these in hot pink (which I don't see as a choice now). Anyway, right out of the box the fit was like wearing slippers. It's featherweight and great when you live in a hot place like I do (the desert in CA). Honestly, at least in the hot pink color (which was the only one available when I ordered). Well I have gotten more compliments than any other pair of shoes I have worn. I direct everyone to Zappos. I'm sorry to see, upon writing this review, that the hot pink doesn't seem available. That would not have been my original choice, but apparently everyone else thinks they're amazing looking. For me the most important though, is the fit is unbelievable (and I have very bad feet)! So these are a bonus for me to have.

I love these shoes. I run between 20-30 miles a week, training for a half marathon right now. When I first switched to these shoes I was a worried because my first couple runs left my feet a bit blistered and in pain. However, I think that is just because I wasn't used to shoes that relied so much on my feet. Break through that and you have the most fantastically light and comfortable shoes ever! I'll be picking up another pair and running in these permanently.

I have done a 5k in them, and no problem. It still feels a bit awkward to run in shoes, but the Free shoe is the least constricting. Tried running without socks, but got blisters. Other great thing about them is that they are super light and pack smaller than regular running shoes.

These shoes are light as a feather. I like them because they are not bulky, do not have a lot of extra support. It is like running barefoot. No complaints.

This is meant to be a minimal shoe. It has little padding and little support. It is meant to help you strengthen your feet and leg muscles while allowing you a more natural range of motion. It is not to be worn for high mileage running. If you are new to a minimal shoe, you need to work up to wearing the Nike Free slowly. Start by doing only about 10% of your weekly mileage and build up slowly from there. I am up to 13 miles at a time. I wear these shoes every day and I love them.

I got these for my 18 year-old daughter who runs five miles a day. After a break-in period she finds them comfortable and her prior foot pain has improved. I thought that the arch did not look very supportive, but she thinks that it is. She likes the looks of the shoe. I ordered a 1\/2 size larger than her usual shoes, since Nikes tend to run small and the size was perfect.

These shoes are so light and comfortable. They come in several nice-looking colors, and I plan to order more. I received them the day after I ordered them from Zappos.

I'm not sure I would recommend this shoe for really long runs but for the shorter ones (5K's) these are great. It is such a light shoe you do feel almost as if you are running barefoot and, real or not, you do feel a bit speedier when you lace these on and get going.

Great sneakers if you are ready to join the barefoot revolution. Comfortable, lightweight, barefoot feeling with a good cushion to prevent punctures in your feet!

My husband purchased this shoe and recommended it to me. It is a very light, very comfortable shoe. It took me several runs to get used to it - it doesn't have the thick, cushiony sole that I am used to in other running shoes I have purchased. But I like it. I found that the shoe ran small. I wear an 8 and purchased a size larger.

These shoes have changed my life. After running and racing in highly technical, structured shoes meant to correct for all sorts of non-existent conditions, I was sidelined by chronic hip pain and plantar fasciatis. I read about barefoot running and the natural condition of the foot while running, and decided that I would Nike's alternative to the bare foot. As soon as I put these on, I felt better. They remind me of my first Nikes with the waffle tread. Running in these shoes, my entire posture is different because I am striking mid-foot instead of onto a highly cushioned heel. I feel stronger, faster, and completely pain-free! Previously I was wearing a 6.5 size running shoe, but I know Nike tends to run small, so I ordered a size 7 and they fit like a glove. The width is perfect, and there is no pinching or rubbing anywhere on the foot. I am so grateful for my Nike free shoes!

Order a FULL size larger! Great for packing in Carry-on. These are absolutely great shoes. I run only 5 or 6 miles a day but love these for packing in my carry-on case; they take up much less room that a conventional running shoe. I own two pair of Nike Pegasus for my regular runs (and long walks) but the NIke Free 5 v.4 worked out just great on a recent trip to Boston.\r\n\r\nYou can run in these barefooted but I prefer to wear socks. Using either thin or thick socks I still needed the full size larger than my street shoes. The first ones I purchased were only 1\/2 size larger but I had to take them back to the store after trying them on the treadmill. When these came from Zappos I put them on, jumped on the treadmill for a quick five miles and they felt just perfect!

One of my favorite things to do on the Gulf Coast of Florida is run on the beach barefoot. I head in one direction for a mile and then head back. I run just high enough to escape the crashing waves, but close enough to the water to not be running in soft, squishy sand. After my beach runs, my feet feel amazing. Besides the fact that the beach literally sands off all of my calluses, my feet feel pumped and strong. I feel like I could dance En Pointe and run up the parking lot to my bike in the tri without worry of straining my plantar fascia. This is exactly how I feel running with the Nike Free 5.0 V4. They simulate the sand under your feet while you run on pave roads. These shoes are only for you if you do not need a stability shoe. If you are a neutral runner, these shoes provide the cushion that is necessary for the road, while giving you the benefit of running on soft ground. How about off-road? Having been a former cross country runner, these shoes would not be appropriate for anything but packed dirt trail running. They have a bit too much give for running on soft ground. Get out those XC spikes for that! Otherwise, if you are strong and looking for a shoe with flexibility and cushioning these are for you my man!!

Not sure that you feel like you are running barefoot but these shoes are great! I've been having trouble with my feet hurting/falling asleep in other shoes and these shoes seem to have solved the problem. Very light weight. I've only used indoors. Order half size up.

I love this shoe. I did not have to break in this shoe. Took it on a 5 day vacation to London, and wore them the whole time, very comfortable! They are very narrow, so an extra half size worked. Zappos was great. I ordered too large a size, called Zappos and received the new pair the next day, before I sent the others back! Very easy to work with!

I like running shoes without a lot of padding because I hate the feel of running with sponges on my feet. I also don't like too much directional compensation in my shoes. My body is used to itself and trying to retrain it causes injuries. I have narrow feet but fairly long, size 9. I'm picky, you see. I tried these shoes on advice of my husband, a life-long athlete. I LOVE them. They provide all the features I like in a shoe and they look nice too. The toe is not too round and not too pointy and the shoe top fits neatly. They are very light and airy, sort of like barefoot running.

I love these shoes! Got these for the gym for my weight training workouts, but they are so cool and comfortable i wear them all the time. Even though I prefer a dance shoe for Zumba workouts I’ve worn these to Zumba (Forgot my dance shoes)and the thin sole and flexibility of the shoe made them great shoes in a pinch. Did I mention the color? Because every time i wear them everyone compliments me on them and the fabulous color. Order your regular Nike size which for me is a half size bigger than normal; 7 instead of 6.5.

The day I received these Nike Free shoes in the mail I put them on and went to physical therapy, as I was rehabbing from a total knee replacement and spinal fusion. Well, it felt like I had them for YEARS and I could not even tell I had shoes on. Barefoot comfort!!! It is only my first of many many pair of Free's. I love them!!!

I have rolled up lots of miles in thick-soled, well padded, ergonomically designed running shoes - no problems. I got a par of Nike Free 5.0 v4 on reference of a fellow runner. They take getting used to -- very lightweight, less of a "pillow" ride. But when you get used to them -- you SWEAR by them. Great stability, easy stride, they even grip my heel well, which this narrow-width runner appreciates. If you haven't tried these --wait no more!!

These are the best shoes I have ever bought! I would never have thought that shoes would really change anything and these shoes have completely improved my running ability. I’ve problems with my ankles forever and with these shoes, my ankles and feet feel solid and naturally supported, almost like I am barefoot, but with a gentle structure; in fact I like them best without any socks, too. Oh, and I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on the bright pink color. The only thing I can say I dislike is the fact that I look (and am) shorter because there is less of a heel, but the fun of being able to run and have fun doing it completely outweighs vanity on this one!

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I ordered a half size up from my usual size and they’re plenty roomy. I usually have super wide feet, but these fit like a dream. I have problems with plantar fasciitis and so far I don’t have any pain at all with these shoes! And if that wasn’t great enough, they’re also super stylish. For the first time ever, I’m actually thinking of purchasing another pair of the same shoe!
