Gorgeous shoes that require some break-in time.

My foot is a touch narrow and I usually wear a size 10. Turns out the 9-1/2 is the best fit in this boot. Pretty snug at first but already form-fitting after just a few days. Really nice looking boot and the leather is much sturdier than anything I've had before. And the construction is awesome. Top shelf. No wonder Red Wing is still around after more than 100 years. Good old-fashioned American quality. Worth the price without question. Looking forward to oiling them up and giving them a good test in the Redwoods this January.

Exactly what I was looking for style-wise. I read a few of the reviews that said these were true to size, one said that order the same size you order your Nikes in. Every pair of Nikes I've owned for the past decade have been a 9.5, so I ordered the 9.5 Red Wings. They were way too long. I returned them for the size 9, still too large. I'm waiting on the 8.5s now, hoping they work out, because I do like how these look.

It is a great looking shoe. The upper leather is holding up well after a year of constant use. My concern is the heels wore out so quickly.

Exactly as described, but all of the advice I received on sizing was misleading. I ended up going with a half size larger than I normally wear.

Wears well and is made well.

They are red wings, so the quality is great and are definitely going to last a lifetime. But, if you don't know, red wings need some extensive break in time. They look great, and are going to feel great once me get win the battle of wills against the leather insoles.

I've gotten more compliments on these than any other shoes I've owned. Beautiful leather and they're crafted in America. I bought a second pair for variety and to support or workers.

Great build quality and materials. Working through the expected break-in period now, but coming along nicely. Went a full size down for the right fit. I’m an 11.5 in my Nike running shoes, for example ... 10.5 was just right for these.

These are good quality boots. The fit as expected, and while somewhat stiff right out of the box, there was no issue wearing these all day long on day one. They are sturdy but comfortable, and you can tell that they are built to last. One of the best pairs of footwear I've had. Some have complained that these are not lined. I don't see that as an issue -- they are what they are represented to be, and it is exactly what I was looking for.

These are a classic pair in my closet.

Great looking chukka that can be used for work and play. Takes a bit to break in, unlike other Red Wing boots I own. After the break-in period, cradles the feet.

These are very high quality shoes. I purchased a standard (D) width from a red wing store last year, but my foot was just a bit too wide. The leather is so thick that they never really stretched. I purchased the wide (EE) from Zappos and couldn’t be happier.

Really enjoy the quality and comfort. I normally wear 11 and that is the size that fit me best. I read a lot of reviews that said try a half size smaller, and I couldn’t get them on my feet. 11’s are feeling great.

These boots are amazing and I want to wear them everyday.

STYLE: The briar oil slick leather from the Red Wing tannery is premium in every way. The leather displays a color right in between brown and red, which looks great for evening formal wear and everyday casual wear. The boot looks formal with the pointy toe, but dials it back a tad with the blown rubber sole. The Goodyear welt gives the boot a style that boasts “I care about what is on my feet.” QUALITY: With the all leather footbed, insole, and upper, it is as good as one could expect from any boot. All brought together with the century old welting design. It’s quality and craftmanship is the best on the market. I’ve worn them for about 30 hours now and after 1 cleaning with saddle soap and treated the leather with leather balm, they look almost new. I expect to have these for my lifetime. FIT: True in length and width. If you wear a 9 in Nike, I would order a 9. Simple. Buy this boot, you’ll love it!

True to size and width. I ordered the same size as I order for New Ballance shoes. No quality issues that I can find. These should last a very long time.

Ultimate quality. Initially purchased these for the smart casual look required for work. I’ve enjoyed the Chukka Work Boot so much that I wear them for church, nights out, school, and in my office. The briar leather has just the right tone of brown and red to give all types of attire versatility. Would I buy these again? Oh yeah. Do I recommend? You bet. Should you buy them? Hurry up. You won’t regret it. The Red Wing quality leather exterior is immediately noticeable. They have softened up nicely and marry the leather exterior to the leather footbed and crepe sole, it’s a really nice match. Hands down the best Chukka on the planet. Ordered these 1/2 size smaller than my normal shoe size and boom ?? right on. Thanks Zappos and a red Wing!!

Great work boot. Perfect for business casual. It took about 4 weeks to break in but once they did... I feel very comfortable working all day in them!

Love these boots. Great fit, goes with almost anything. Break in took a bit, but with some thicker socks it went well.

Wow. After wearing these for several miles now I am convinced. Red Wing Heritage just may be the best boot in the business. Do not hesitate buy now.

These are by far the best boots I have ever owned. Comfortable right out of the box. I was very hesitant spending $280 on a pair of boots but they are worth every penny.
