I was really pleased with these shoes. I bought these based on all the glowing reviews I read online and that they were good for Zumba. They fit great and they did well in my Zumba class. The toe box is roomy so I was a bit worried about my feet sliding too much and the soles were a bit grippy, so I was also concerned about turning my weak ankle again during the twisty moves in class, but overall they performed well, not too tight, light, good support and my feet felt good in them. The only down is that I would've preferred a little bit more traction on the soles as they did tend to slip and slide a bit on the hardwood dance floor. But overall a good shoe.

I like these shoes for my muscle fitness class - I do not use them for any sort of cardio. (Not that you couldn't - I just don't so can't give my opinion on that.) The mesh allows my feet to breathe. I feel supported, yet the shoes feel light which I like. I have a relatively wide foot and I feel there is almost too much room in the width. Note that these feel true to size unlike some of the other Ryka styles (example: Studio D) that feel a full half size smaller than marked.

I purchased these to dance Zumba. I researched dance shoes before buying. I wanted good arch support and glide.
I think the shoes are a little on the ugly side. The arch support is lacking.
I put my own inserts in, lace them up and dance. I kept them because they did the job I need for my balance and style. They are made well.

I love to Zumba, but have a lot of problems with my weak ankle. So I ordered 6 pairs of shoes in an effort to find something that would work for me. Normally I wear a 9 wide in street shoes and a 9.5 wide in athletic shoes. I was looking for a wide shoe that would allow me to twist and move smoothly during Zumba without catching my foot and putting stress on my ankles.

I needed a shoe for my Zumba classes because my aerobic shoes were too "sticky" and did not let me do turns properly. I had a hard time finding this shoe. The Capezios were great for turning, but they were too narrow for my foot. The Nikes were also too narrow. The Blochs were too narrow. It seemed as if getting a shoe that was wide enough was not to be...but then I read the reviews about the Ryka Stdio Flex shoe, which run wider than the other dance shoes do. The Studio Flex is nice and light, and the mesh seems to be sturdy enough to hold up to punishing movements. I am a 10 wide in women's shoes or an 8 1/2 in men's, so I ordered the 10.5 in this shoe and they fit fine. However, I did find that the Ryka insoles did not give enough cushioning for my feet, so I replaced them with gel support insoles. (I do that for most of my sneakers, ever since I had a bout of plantar fasciitis.) As to my issue with turning ability, the bottoms of these shoes certainly stick to the floor less than my aerobic shoes did, but on the other hand they are more sticky than the (too narrow) Capezios are. In the Ryka brand, the Ryka Studio D shoe sticks less than the Flex Low, but The Studio D does not seem to have as much support for my feet as these Flex Lows have. Although I had to trade off some ease of turning for foot support, I think this shoe is a good compromise of fit and function.

I really like this shoe. I do low and medium aerobics and have old feet, knees, hips (you get the picture). After trying a couple of different brands, I ordered these shoes from Zappos. I've been using these shoes for a couple of weeks with no problems. This is probably my 8th pair of Ryka shoes. I've bought both cross trainers and walkers and am always satisfied. They just work for my feet. I need/like a wider shoe for the ball of my foot but I have a narrow/normal heel. I bought two different sizes (7 and 7.5) as usually I take a 7.5 in Rykas. The 7 fit me great, the 7.5 was too big, the arch hit me wrong.I let my friend try the size 7.5. She's never worn Ryka's before and does a lot of Zumba. She loves them and has been wearing hers a few weeks now as well. The shoe is plain..but I like plain. I also like the support across the toes. It's not mesh but provides more support for striking.

I got these shoes for Zumba class. They\'re light weight and work better than my regular sneakers for this class. I should have probably gotten a half-size up though.

I was not as satisfied with these shoes as many others were. I purchased them specifically for Zumba class and I didn\'t think the support in the soles were all that great. I have a lot of problems with my heels and the sides of my left foot due to breaking it a few years back. Although it\'s a cute shoe, and I love the extra width at the toes, it\'s not the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned.

This shoe is not my favorite of the Rykas I have used. I would like more forefoot support. Also, it seems to run larger than most of the Rykas I have purchased. I do Jazzercise 5 times a week and the shoe has done pretty well keeping my foot supported. Good lateral support.

These shoes are perfect for Zumba. Enough support and very flexible but not at all clunky. Love them!

I teach Zumba 7 days a week plus 6 other classes including Hip Hop and I love these shoes! (ballet shoes for ballet of course :)). These have a little more grip than the Ryka studio D which is good on the floor I teach on (unfortunately a laminate wood floor) but not so good on our other dance floors (the real type with Marly). One problem I have with my size 11 is they are a little tall in the front. This is typical often because my feet are long however skinny. Warning to any other large footed women :) Still love them! Great support true to size.

Overall I like these sneakers. I have serious bunion problems so I need an ample toe box and these shoes have that. I also like that I can use my orthotics. I wear these shoes daily on the treadmill and can go 50 minutes with no pain-that's big! I do notice a little slipping at the heel. Also, they are low on ventilation so probably won't be great in the summer.

The Ryka Studio Flex Low was one of three Ryka shoes that I bought for Jazzercise in particular, recommended by Jazzercise. This is the second pair I bought. The first pair, while running slightly small, offered great support and comfort. The second pair I bought did not seem to run as small, still offering great support and comfort. The price was reasonable for the shoe as well. I will probably purchase this shoe again in a few months if still available.

These shoes look great, especially with dark pants/shorts/bottoms. They are great indoor fitness shoes, but as the name "Studio" implies, they are not as durable for outdoor fitness such as jogging/cross-training due to less support than other shoes made for such terrain. They look best worn with black low socks since the top of the shoe is mesh and slightly see-through. I wear an 8.5 shoe, which is what I ordered and they fit perfectly. As a fitness instructor, I appreciate comfort and style in my shoes and these Ryka Studio Flex are perfect for teaching multiple cardio classes 7 days a week.

If you're anything like me, you hunt & hunt for a good aerobics shoe, because it seems like no one makes them anymore. I normally put a cushiony insert with more arch support, but haven't found one of those that I like yet either. These have actually worked quite well as is. I do step, kick box, MMA, high impact aerobics, weights - all gym stuff with these. Normally my toes will fall asleep after an hour of jarring jumping, or my ankles & shins will fatigue immediately if the shoes aren't cushiony enough. But these work well. They are pretty loose in the toe box, so it'll accommodate that insole as well as a nice cushy pair of socks. but if you prefer thin workout socks, this might feel roomy. (I don't recommend a size down, because the length is correct) Overall, after a month of daily use, I'm still very happy. Personally I'd like a little more cushion and arch support, but that hasn't stopped me from being happy.

This one really runs small -
I ordered several Ryka models to try at home. I am a 5 1/2 - definitely not a 5. I ordered size 6 in all Ryka because of reviews here. I did not find all Rykas to run small at all. This one was the only one that ran significantly small. Even with the size 6, I could feel my toes nearly touching the front. The width was normal, but it's a short shoe. I think 6 1/2 would be too big for me and I found something I like more. Shoe is nicely cushioned and would probably have good stability if it fit.

These shoes are pretty cute and comfortable. I took the foot survey on the Rycas website to determine which shoe to buy and found it helpful. I wear them for step aerobics and find that I can pivot easier. They are also very light weight, too. My only problem with them is that I wish they had more cushion in them. I am overall pretty happy with them.

As a massage therapist I'm on my feet all day and needed a shoe that would provide comfort and stability; Ryka Studio Flex Low does it! Great shoe, lots of toe room without being too loose, non-slip sole, very comfortable for all day! I would prefer velcro straps instead of laces, but that's a personal choice.

Have been jazzercizing for 39 years and found these shoes to be my least favorite. We all would like for Ryka to bring back the New Gauge, it was the best! The shoe doesn't have enough padding, felt like I was dancing directly on the floor.

Awesome company to deal with, very friendly website excellent customer service too. I bought these shoes for Zumba and Weight training, shoes are good for weight training and they do have an excellent support, but I would say they sick to the floor to often for they are not good for or any aerobics moves.

This is the second shoe I have tried for Zumba after reading positive reviews on here. This is the second shoe I am sending back. What I didn't like about them: They did not move well during Zumba. I found the soles to really stick to a wood studio floor. The shoe laces are extremely short. I couldn't even tie them. I had to just tuck them into the sides. I felt I had to use a sport insole with them because they offered very little cushioning. I usually wear a women's 9 1/2 D--these shoes don't come in a wide width but I thought since they were made differently they might be ok. They were kind of tight in the toe box but I found them to be 9 1/2 exactly and the tightness was managable. If you want to wear thicker socks or use an insole you may want to go up a 1/2 size. Also, I don't know if this was a defect or not but the right shoe seemed slightly smaller than the left shoe. I have never had this problem in any other shoes so I don't think it was my feet. What I did like about this shoe: The looked cute on my feet. They are super light and barely feel like you are wearing shoes are at. The arch support was adequate. I would not recommend these for Zumba (which is my main reason for the purchase) but if you have another studio class that doesn't require jumping and twisting and turning then the could possibly work for that.

I needed a good zumba shoe. This shoe came highly recommended. I wear a size 10 which was not available. I ordered a size 11 hoping it would be okay with thicker socks. Not so. I love the support and weave over the toe area which provided much needed ventilation when doing zumba. I will have to try to reorder another ryka in a size 10.

I first bought the Ryka Studio D Low which I had to return because it ran small. Since my correct size was not available I opted to try the Ryka Studio Flex Low (this shoe). My sole use for this shoe is as a shoe for Jazzercise. I find that it works well for this purpose. I tend to favor high impact versions of the exercises and I have not experienced knee or back pain with this shoe. I have high arches which often hurt when I was wearing my previous shoes. While these shoes have still not completely alleviated my arch pain, they have greatly reduced it and I am able to get through many classes without any pain at all. The mesh in the toe area also keeps my feet cool throughout class. My only problem with this shoe was the construction - one of the traction discs on the sole of the shoe fell off after the second Jazzercise class I wore it to. I was able to glue it back to the shoe with no problems but I feel that I spent enough on this shoe that I should not have to make these kinds of repairs, especially not so close to purchase! (This is the reason I rated the shoe average instead of excellent.)
