Really like this bag. Perfect work laptop bag. Compartments provide everything I need for storing glasses, cords, writing utensils, laptop cord, mouse, etc.

I purchased this for travel, however I found more suitable bag. It is a very well constructed backpack. Perfect for school use.

I got this for college in an area where it can snow or rain. I love the color and durability.

Great backpack. Love all the functional pockets for storage. The only issue I have with the backpack is the outer pockets. Those pockets essentially share the space with the main compartment. So if I add stuff to the outer pockets, you lose room in the main compartment. There's room enough for a change of clothing, a light jacket, and a small toiletry kit. I would like to give it 4.5 stars, since I really had only that one issue.

I love this bag. I purchase mines 2 years ago from North Face Ala Moana Goes with me on all my excursions on Big Island and travels to Europe and Africa. I can house my Canon R7/R6Mk2 and 16" MacBook Pro with no issues.

Though I have not been able to use this backpack yet, it has all the compartments that I will need on our trip to Iceland this summer. There is ample room for extra clothing, water bottle and camera tripod. We will be traveling by van and will need these items close by as we exit and enter the vehicle.

Great backpack only thing I can say is wish it was a bit bigger on the middle pocket.

Good quality! Bigger bag for taller people. The laptop case is very protective. Only thing I wish the zippers on the top were metal. They'll eventually snap off. Part of the bag has metal zippers they should just have every compartment that way. It's worth the additional cost.

There are a lot of positives to this backpack. It's a great look. I was a little bit unsure about the j-shaped pockets, but they're actually really nice and it's easy to get stuff out of them without having to dig. It's a little tough to fit a lot into the big compartment because the laptop compartment is so sturdy but if you have a nice laptop, I could see that being a benefit (having a quality laptop compartment). All in all, I'm happy with that I bought this backpack.

This is a great upgrade from my previous surge backpack that lasted many many years. The distribution of the pockets and sizes are great, and I love the new and improved water bottle sleeves on the sides that hold all sizes of bottles a lot better. It is very comfortable and great for commuting to work on my bicycle.

Primarily a commuter, backpack and for graduate school. Although it has a phenomenal compartment for things like a laptop and a tablet, the main compartment seems a bit limited. also, the shoulder straps keep bunching up, and I know it's only a matter of time before they start degrading. I just get the sense the material and design is gonna start wearing down faster than previous models.

Not good for business travel. Very limiting storage. If you fill one section, other sections become unusable. Bring back the Surge II. That was a great backpack.

I was looking for a large capacity backpack to use when traveling and bought this. My luggage didn't fit as much as I expected.

Just to be "Clear" a 17" Laptop does not fit in the designated slot for a laptop. But it does fit in the main compartment. It's not as protected in there but it fits. 15" will fit in the designated spot. I like the colors and it appears to be built very well as you would expect from TNF.
I'd also recommend:
Patagonia was my 2nd choice.
