OUCH! I am a set decorator and on my feet for 12+ hours a day. I've tried a ton of boots (too heavy, too stiff, too AWFUL). Aside from one doable pair, I usually end up in tennis shoes. Not cool for lifting heavy props, hiking/climbing on location, constructing, or whatever else I'm thrown on set but still more comfortable than most boots. I couldn't wait to get a pair of Blundstones since i've only heard good things. I wear a 7 but went a half size up so I could use insoles and thicker comfort socks. Tried out my 7.5 US (4.5AU) on an easy prep day and 4 hours in I found myself hobbling around looking for small hand craft tasks I could accomplish while sitting on my butt. Thought maybe they had to be broken in so I tried on the next job (brought shoes to change into this time). Still unbearable! I Really wanted these to be my solution so I tried again and then again. Found myself changing into my nikes by lunch both times. When I first received my pair and tried them on I thought maybe I should have ordered a half size down with all the extra space I had but when I wore them for longer than 4 hours they end up feeling 2 sizes to small! Thick socks, thin socks, insoles, no insoles, how do these not work for me?!

I really wanted these to work, but they were way too wide for me. My feet are on the narrow side of medium and they were swimming in these boots. They felt really sloppy. Cute though. If you have wide feet, these are probably perfect.

My 4th pair of Blunnies. All my others were so comfortable, and I could walk miles in them from day 1. Not this pair! I wore them out for a weekend away where I did lots of walking. I was really glad I brought other boots, because these rubbed the back of my ankles so badly. I've never had this issue with any other Blundstone style. Wish I could return them.

I bought these boots as a Christmasgift for my granddaughter and she just loves them. She says thereis onetight spot but being leather, she thinks they willwork out fine.

I purchased the same size I would get in Chucks. In most shoes I am a 10-10.5 US, Chuck I wear a 9.5 US. I initially purchased these as a 9 UK and they were too lose all around. I exchanged them for a 8.5 UK and the fit pretty great, took a few days of all day wearing to get them broken in.

It’s been just a few days but feels comfortable and sturdy. Normally my Us size 7 but I bought size Us 8 (Au size 5) so I can wear thick wool socks. Slip-On and off not easy though at least for now!

They hit on on the back of my calf in an annoying way. Maybe they would break in ok, but also one fits tighter than the other (which is not the case in my other shoes/boots - it's not just my feet!).

Love the boots. I'm in between sizes slightly but for me they felt pretty close to my size with a tiny bit of room to spare. Blundstone recommends that you try to get the length of the shoe as close as possible to your size. When you put them on, you should be able to slide a finger between your Achilles tendon and the inside back edge of the boot. If you like a slightly more snug fit, Blundstone includes and additional foot pad to help with that. Keep in mind there are no half sizes. Blundstone half sizes are for width only. So an 8 1/2 is actually just a size 8 wide. They are super comfortable and the quality of the leather feels really good. I think I'm sold on the Blundstones!

Initially upon trying on the shoe they felt super tight/narrow and I immediately got blisters on the back of my heel (which was expected for a new leather boot). I imagine the boot will stretch in time and perfectly form to my foot so I am not worried about it. Otherwise they are extremely comfortable and I can tell they are made with high quality. Love them already and I cant wait to own them for many many years to come!

I wear shoe size 9.5 US. I followed the instructions and ordered a size 8.5. They feel like a size 8.5, not a 9.5. Way too small. I will be returning these boots.

Love these boots. Comfortable, warm, durable, stylish, and they go with everything. I am a true US 7.5, and I sometimes go up to a US 8. I read that they should fit a bit loose, so I first ordered a US 8 and my feet felt crammed and my toes hit the end of the boot. That has never happened to me in a US 8 before. I then ordered a US 9, and they fit perfectly even though I have never worn bigger than a US 8 before! I'd definitely recommend going up a size. There was a little bit of rubbing on the back of my legs the first time I wore them, but I imagine that once I break them in, that won't happen anymore. They kept my feet warm in 20 degrees, and I imagine they will keep them warm in even colder weather. Love these boots!

Sadly the lack of true half sizes made these a no go for me. Additionally the toe box was very wide, and with the narrow ankles they looked a bit like clown shoes on me. So the combination of fit and style makes them a return. Cute, funky shoes, if they fit you.

This boot was my first Blundstone experience. I ordered it, along with the Dress boot and the High boot. Something is up with quality control. The 5.5 in the other two styles fit perfectly, and I was swimming in the 6. The 5.5 in this style (their classic boot, updated, mind you), was way too small. I was still swimming in the 6. This style was the first I tried on out of the box, and was immediately disheartened. But now it's a decision between square toe vs. lugged bottom!

Reading through the sizing instructions I made the mistake of not reading through the reviews. The 7.5 truly felt like a 7 in length, but was plenty wide for my wide feet--if my toes hadn't jammed the front of the shoes. I have reordered the next size up, but I fear they will be too big. Fingers crossed. AND these are NOT LEATHER LINED despite the description. There is a tiny bit of leather in the shaft, but the body of the shoe is lined in a fabric. Zappos--let's get that cleaned up, please?

This is my 4th pair of Blundstones. They last, are waterproof, and fit my wide foot.

Most Dansko models fit like they were made for me at size 41. Same goes for these in AU7.5 (half sizes mean wide in Australia). The quality is great and they could not fit more perfectly. If and when they start to break in so much that they get a little loose, I can just add in an extra pair of insoles they included. I initially balked at the price, but hope to have these waterproof(!) boots for years.

I gave 4 stars on comfort because I have worn them outside to loosen them up. I replaced the inserts with my own orthotics, so can't really apprise there. Love Blunnies ! and will be happy for some winter traction.

This review is for the Blundstone BL558 Black boots. I have just received these boots and wore them only twice so far, but after a full day the first time I found they were still very comfortable. I typically take a size 7 in women's size AU 4 Medium, which the Zappos website said was equivalent to a US Women's 7. The boots fit well with room for thicker winter socks. They do not have much arch support and are a bit stiff because of the thick soles, so my feet were a bit achy after a full day, but I think that will improve with wear. I bought these because winter weather, ice, and other slippery conditions in the Northeastern US often require good waterproof soles with well-defined treads. I fell down twice last winter (one on a New York City street) and I hope these boots will keep me more steady on the bad days. They have a simple look that makes them OK for my workplace, where suits are less common. I plan to wear these with black pants or leggings, jeans, and probably even black tights.

I absolutely love these boots! I’d been eyeing them up for quite awhile, but wasn’t sure I could spend so much. I read every review of these and the 510. After much indecision, I went with the 558. I’ve very glad I did. There was no break-in time needed, and I’ve worn them for about a week now. Stop thinking about it- buy these boots! They are worth every penny.

At first I though they were too tight, however after having the on for a few minutes, my feet were comfortable and there really wasn't any breaking-in period. Very happy with the purchase.

I bet these are great boots, but I had a terrible Zappos experience..! Upon glancing into the generic 'clearly not a Blundstone box' I found I received the 550 in Stout Brown, not the 558 in Black (even though I was charged for the 558). I didn't even take them out and could see dog hair inside. This was an expensive purchase for me. I am getting my money back, ordering elsewhere, and will not be using Zappos in the future.

Have always wanted a pair of Blunnies. I had a hand-me-down too-big pair that I loved but were unrealistic. So, I splurged and got these. Tried the AUS 5.5 first, based on size reviews, but they were too small. Zappos made it really easy and QUICK to exchange, and the AUS 6 are perfect. I'm a US women's size 9 and they are a great fit. Also, contrary to other reviews, I did not find them terribly difficult to pull on. I suspect they will be my only shoe for much of the fall!

This is my first pair of Blundstone boots. Saw them on 2 women in 2 consequtive days, wearing first hiking gear and the other a dress/casual suit. Too Cute!. But there are so many different/similar models, I wasn't sure which to buy. After reading other reviews, I decided on the style that was "designed for women" since I have a narrow heal. I generallly wear a women's 8 1/2, medium width, neutral arch. I purchased that size at first but big toe was at end of the boot and I was afraid of having wearing problems, so exchanged for the next size (women's 9) and they fit just fine. I had also tried on another style (510) and found the 8 1/2 fit well for length but seemed wider. The size 9 in the 510 had my ankle pistoning--not good. Both those went back. I feel like this style (558) is cut narrower across the forefoot than the 510, and I find the arch support better and the heel narrower as well. It does seem to be styled for a woman's foot. Haven't worn them in the weather yet but they have been quite comfortable around town with mid-weight socks. Easy to get on and off. They do seem warmer with just the little bit extra lining.
