Just what the doctor ordered.

I have been wearing Blundstone and RM Williams Chelsea boots for many years. Unfortunately, RM Williams have gone couture/boutique and are now too expensive and they only make dress boots and Blundstone has sold out and moved everything to Vietnam so the quality is not near as good as it used to be. While the specs above state "Soft leather lining" that is a false understatement and misleading; the heel and areas you can see with the eye are "Soft leather lining", but once you get into the main part of the boot, there is a cloth or felt lining, not leather, that covers the entire upper of the forefoot. This lining can make the boot hot during the summer months and with previous pairs I have owned, the lining eventually begins to separate from the leather and is not easy to remove. I wish they just left it out. I bought another pair because these boots are great for travel. I was just hoping that with the increased price (these are about $30 more expensive than my last pair), that Blundstone finally moved production back to Tasmania like they try to make you think they are and that they improved the quality. However, I have sent numerous emails and posted numerous times on their facebook page hoping to get information on which models are actually made in Tasmania, but, they never reply. I have paid as much as $400 for RM Williams boots and would be willing to pay more for Bluestones; if the quality was better.

Usually go between 10.5-11. Purchased a size 11 and felt it too big, looked bulky on me so I decided to return it.

I LOVE these boots! They are my new go to's! I am a size 8.5, sometimes a 9 depending on the shoes. These felt to fit spot on with thinner summer weight socks in the 8.5 I ordered so I worn them and have ran into a few times where my toes have jammed into the end. I am now wishing I had gone with the 9, also didn't consider wearing thicker socks once cold weather hits... Wish I had thought it thru better but that said, these won't be my last pair and given the amount of time I'm spending in them a 9 will definitely be in my future if need be! Since they are new I'm eager to see the stretch in them and if they have any after logging several miles...may not need to. Time loving these will tell!

Love these boots. They seem to run small. I ordered a AUS/UK 4.5, USA M 5.5, USA W 7.5. I often wear a USA W 7 sometimes 7.5 but I wanted some room so I went with the USA W 7.5. This definitely felt more like a US Woman's 7. Toes just shy of touching the end. I am bummed. Was looking forward to my first pair. Sadly they are sold out (everywhere).

These were short and wide. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and my foot runs narrow. These were the AU 5.5 (US 8.5) and were too short. Oddly, the model 1464 in the AU 5 (US 8) fits perfectly

Really liked them but too small and ordered to half size up.

Very comfortable. Nice room in the toe box. Boots came with two inserts that could be used to adjust the fit, which I found awesome, because I have one foot that is about a half size smaller than the other. It's a little thing that means a lot!

I love these boots, but no matter which size I got they do not fit. They are quite narrow and leave no room for a heavy sock without being to long. Of course, they are made beautifully but really narrow. I even ordered the mans size. Buying a similar and cheaper pair of Keens instead. They run wider.

I bought 3 pairs of these boots. One pair for wide foot son. He loves them. One pair for flat foot son. He loves them(he usually wears nothing but Toms and Vans so I was surprised and happy, yay! real shoes and he likes them), the third pair for husband who has medium narrowish high arch foot. He loves them also. I am here today to order 2nd pair for flat foot son who would like a pair in each state so there won't be a chance of forgetting them one place or the other. Actually ASKED for another pair. I tried, but they are out of his size.:( The boots have proven, for us, to be durable, comfortable, good support, look great, worth the cost. Given the variety of feet and approval rating from all my guys, I say give them a try, with Zappos, you really have nothing to lose. Thumbs Up

It's hard to find sturdy attractive versatile Chelsea boots for women with a grippy sole! I had a pair of Borns for five years and wore them every day for every activity. When they almost rotted off my feet I was devastated to discover the smallest size available was no longer a euro 39 ( women's 8). Couldn't get them again. :( Anyhoo, these Blundstones finally became available in my size and I bought two pair. So far I love them. I can't speak to their durability yet but they are super comfortable. The heel pull on part was stiff for a few days but I stretched and flexed it for a few minutes and it softened up and stopped putting pressure on the top of my heel . I typically use an arch support insert in all my shoes but it makes this boot too tight to do that with them. That's ok because they are so comfortable and fit so well , I really don't seem to need it with these awesome boots. I love them. Comfortable, sturdy, very well made and solid.

These are well designed, comfortable, practical boots. Not having to fiddle with laces makes getting to work on time just a little easier. The downside of the laceless system is that the boots do seem to stretch a little after a few weeks of wearing them, and there are no laces to adjust to compensate for it. In fact I had to return my original size 9.5 for a 9, and that has worked fine for me. While not truly waterproof, the construction keeps out water quite well, especially if you use any sort of waterproofing goop. Blundies aren't the sexiest boots I own, but they still look fine dressed up or down, and are great as motorcycle boots. I think they should be about 10% cheaper, since they are now made in China, but the brand name recognition keeps the price inflated.

First of all, buyer beware about Blundstone shoe width. According to the Blundstone website, Aussie half sizes are the same length as the first number but a bit wider (e.g., AU 5.5 is the same length as a 5 but wider). I wear a women's US 8.5 (medium width) and ordered the AU 5 (translated as a US 8), which fits perfectly with a thin or medium weight wool sock. These are comfy right out of the box, easy to get on and off, and have an effortlessly cool look. I had a pair of Blundstones ages ago that I wore out after many years of hard wear. Looking forward to doing the same with these.

I got these to wear on construction site visits, for which they are perfect, but now prefer them to my Sorel snow boots for winter because I find them lighter weight and with better grip for walking in icy conditions. At the beginning, they were very tight and I had to use a shoe horn to get them on. I ordered my regular size. They have loosened out, and I can put on without a shoe horn, but still fit perfectly. If I had ordered a half size up I could use the warm inserts that came with for winter.

Great boots! Very comfortable with good grip on icy surfaces. As other reviewers have noted, a half size is not really a half size but a wider version of the whole size below it. I ordered my regular size of 9, which ran a bit narrow though it is marked as a B. So I exchanged for a 9.5, which was perfect. You rock, Blundies!

I really, really wanted to love these boots. They're exactly the style I am looking for, well made, wide toe box (I got the .5 for the extra room there), not a lot of bells and whistles. Unfortunately they just didn't fit. The smaller size was too short, the longer size too long. Why oh why can't they make half sizes?? If they'd fit I would have kept them for sure because everything else was great. For those of you lucky ones who get to keep a pair be aware they are tall and rub on the back of your ankle/calf. I can see there might be a break-in period there.

I wear a size 10 (US) in most footwear and lean toward wide (EE) mostly for the right foot. The AUS 9 is avery good fit in this boot. There is plenty of room (width) in the foot bed w no toe crunch at all. No real problems w break in. No slip when walking. This is the 2nd pair I own w a 3rd on the way, all different colors. The first pair (2 yrs ago) was the very light brown-tan/light sole boot (very nice looking). I don't wear them in wet weather because I don't want to mess with cleaning them, so longevity is something I can't really talk about from experience. I bought these black boots so the cleaning isn't an issue, and some brown ones for variety since the fit is so spot on. Winter is covered. No more boot laces! I work on a college campus and wear for "work" (office type) and "casual" and would recommend for that. My job has me do quite a bit of walking and I've had no problems with rub or discomfort. I wouldn't say not to hike in the woods etc. in them, but I have not used in this way. I like the product a lot. again, for me, the sizing info (aus 9 = us 10) was right on. I do want to add that I had to return the first pair because I didn't know what to make of the sizing. Zappos return policy is gold standard and sets a bar that I believe every other company should strive for as shopping continues to move to e-commerce/internet sales. They truly are serving the greater good of the customers!!!

Don't be fooled by the initial fit: These boots loosen up considerably after a few weeks of wear, and you will definitely need to wear tall socks to break them in. I ordered my regular size and they were pretty snug, so I exchanged for a half size up. They're loose enough now that I probably could have stayed with my regular size, but the half size up gave me room for a support insole. Overall, very comfortable boot.

These are great, I wanted a pair of Chelsea boots for a long time. Turns out my daughter bought these and I loved them so much I bought a pair for myself. Because they are mens, they run wide. Her 10.5's were too short on my feet, but 11 is a little long on me. They are very comfortable and stylish.

I usually wear a size 8, but this boot was a bit tight in that size. Other reviews said that the half sizes were just wider versions of the whole size. A Zappos representative told me that wasn't true, but the 8.5 fit me very well. Consider a half size up if your usual size is too tight.

These boot were comfortable righteous of the box. The separate arches supplied with the shoe made the shoe a bit tight with a heavier sock. You may want to plan for that is ordering. Love the shoe. Wearing it for a trip to Montana for hiking, riding, etc.

I am on my feet all day in and outside! My Blundstone BL558s are the best and breathe so my feet are not hot! My feet feel good at the end of the day! I hate to take them off!

I bought this boot in the winter of 2015 and have waited until now to comment. I live in CO and use the BL558 boot in winter if I'm walking in the city or going to dinner or an event in the mountains. I wear it with wool socks and though I wear US 9 1/2, I bought an Aus 7. It's roomy but has never given me blisters. I have problem feet (bunions and hammertoe), but this boot felt comfortable immediately. The boots are great for walking, look good with jeans or slacks, and stay dry in rain or snow. I've worn mine many times, and they look new. I hesitated buying a boot I couldn't try on first, but decided with Zappos' return policy, I'd give them a try. I'm glad I did!

I am a women's 8½ shoe size. Always have been. I ordered these in a AU 5½ "Women's 8½" not an 8½ at all. More like a 7½-8. I could barely get my left (smaller) foot into one of these. Also I am very disappointed that Zappos does not include a free return shipping label in the box as I do not own a printer and bought these shoes for my upcoming trip which I leave for in a few days. I hope that I can manage to get these mailed back to the company in time before I leave for my trip with having to find a printer to use to print the return label and all. I am very unhappy with Zappos for not including the convenient return label in the box. This is an online shoe store, I imagine that they receive returns about half of the time.
