The shoes are really cute and comfortable. Like other reviews I read, they make a noise when I walk that sounds like air shushing in and out.

Cute and comfy but it does make the awful squish noise on both shoes every time I step. I was hoping it would go away like some reviews said, but it has not. i have worn this several times running errands, walking dogs, and just around the house to try and break in to get rid of the squish noise. No luck, I do not think it will ever go away. I will not be able to wear these to quiet places and they will be relegated to festival shoes. also, as other reviewers have noted, the straps do not go up according to width. they stay the same regardless. There is also no room to make extra holes at the end of the leather on the ankle strap. I was feeling very nostalgic as I loved these as a child. But I should have gone with my gut and sent them back instead of trying to make them work.

So I really like these shoes. They look nice, are super comfy, and I want to wear them all the time. Then the buckle snapped 2 weeks in on one shoe. I am really hoping this is just a fluke, and I can get them exchanged.

I really wanted to like these shoes. They are so cute and amazingly comfortable. However, as other reviewers have mentioned, they make a lot of noise. They wheeze loudly at every step. I would be absolutely mortified to wear these in public! Such a shame, otherwise they would be perfect!

VERY comfortable shoes but the straps are not very durable. The first pair of these failed after three wearings, but Zappos gave me a free replacement pair! So far, the second pair seems fine.

The right shoe makes an annoying "whooshing" sound with every step; otherwise, nice shoes for the price - cute and very comfortable.

I love the look of this shoe, but after wearing it for many hours, it's just not comfortable! The front strap is close enough to the toes so it slips off easily; the pad is nice but makes a "woosh" sound when you step on it. Having to be careful about how to step and not knocking off the toes straps is annoying.

I prefer inaudible shoes in general. These are just a bit too noisy for my tastes. Although these sandals look exactly as they do on the website, and they fit wonderfully, I am returning them. The nicely padded footbed traps a tiny bit of air, and you can hear it when you walk. If you don't mind a constant pssht pssht pssht with every step you take, go ahead and give them a shot! I got these in the Cinnamon color, a good, not too flashy dark-ish red. My feet are kind of in between regular and wide. Sometimes regular shoes are too narrow, but wide shoes are generally too wide. Given my past history with sandals, I figured I'd better go with wide. I did, and they were perfect. So if your feet push the boundaries of 'W', you might want to go that route.

Cute sandal and pretty comfortable. The sole does feel a bit heavy and clunky. After 3 weeks of normal wear, the ankle strap completely snapped! These are pretty cheaply made-hence the price. Zappos gave me a refund right away and I might be crazy, but I'm going to try another pair.

I think the shoes are very comfortable; however, seem to be stretching out very quickly. The leather is very soft and hopefully will not keep stretching. I am so very impressed with Zappos - love it and after my husband saw how great you were to deal with he ordered shoes. We tell everyone about you.

I have a wide foot and found that the ankle strap was a little short. It just barely fits. Width was fine, length was true to fit.

Nice pair of sandals but they swish air when you walk in them, otherwise, I would have kept them.

For a wide shoe, I had to loosen the straps to make them fit. I had to get a 1/2 size larger to even loosen the strap. The leather straps aren't soft and the black stains my feet.

Very comfortable shoe. My feet sink into the cushion with every step and I can walk in these all day. The only problem I had was the black trapping comes off on my feet so it does stain the foot.

Not exactly a pretty shoe. I'm sending it back and looking for something more stylish. I have a wide foot and this just didn't do anything for me. (Plus, the buckles are bright gold.) I am also looking for something with a bit of arch support. These do have a cushioned feeling, but they are completely flat.

LOVED the shoes and the comfort, but I could not abide the puff of air/flatulent sound they made with each step. Back they went. :(

I need and extra wide. Description and sizing said extra wide. The straps could be adjusted but the sole of the sandal was still too narrow. My feet hung over the edge.

Not the shoe I'd hoped it would be - I think this shoe is designed for a long, skinny, flat foot. I have a wide, short, chubby foot with a high arch. I got the extra wide in hopes that it would fit well. My arch doesn't even touch the mid-section of the shoe. There is very little arch support. Also, as some others have stated the shoe makes a very loud "poof" sound when you walk as air leaves the plushy sole. I suppose it's worth it as the sole is very soft and comfortable. I'm not sure I could have gotten used to it though. The main reason I returned them is the toe strap seems to be in an awkward place. My toes don't stay under it. My pinky toe was constantly popping outside the strap. I'm glad I tried them out around the house first.

I ordered a 7½W and could not even get my toes into it. These shoes is a joke. I recommend Clarks which are true to W size.

These were really comfortable. I bought two pair in different colors. I had to give up on both pairs because the left shoe started going "squish, squish, squish". It is as if something in the heel separated and air is now going in and out. It was loud enough my coworkers commented. :(

I bought these shoes at the end of the season and barely wore them. I pulled them out on the first warm day of Spring, and the heel strap broke: it did not come unglued, but broke in two pieces. Also, they make an irritating whooshing sound when you walk as the air escapes from the insole. They were really comfortable, and fit true to size - for a minute.

I liked these at first, but the straps stretched out so much that I had to keep adding new holes. Eventually the strap just broke, leaving me stranded and shoeless. Also, these things are extremely loud and squeaky for some reason, which doesn't seem like a big deal until your entry into every room is announced by a SNEEF! narf SNEEF! narf pattern of noises.

I was very disappointed in this pair of Joanne sandals. They were narrower and shorter than a pair I bought several years ago in the same size. The ankle strap is a very lightweight leather and does not look like it is made for long wear. The shoe looks cheap. Bass can do so much better!

Well, I love these shoes. They are very cute and very comfortable - everything I'm looking for in a sandal. The problem is after wearing them for 3 months they are on the verge of falling apart. The sole has been destroyed. The heel is developing a hole. It is a real shame. I honestly don't think they are going to last me 2 seasons.
