Overall, I'm happy with these boots - I like how they look and they've been very comfortable to walk around in. As a short person, rain boots are sometimes too high and look funny and these don't. I wish the calf part of the boot was a little more fitted, but it wasn't a deal breaker.

Good looking rain boot and very comfortable...room to tuck in jeans, sweats, whatever. Runs large, but that allows for heavy socks in winter.

Was looking for boots I could wear around town on mucky days, walks with my young son in the woods, etc. I really wanted them to allow my jeans to be tucked in. These were just a tad too tight in the calf for that. I'm 5'3, 15 inch calf. Otherwise the fit was pretty good, color was nice. But I had to return. Also had to return a pair of Nomads for the same reason. Bought a pair of Lands End Lined Wellies instead. Fit my calves perfectly, not quite as stylish b\/c no buckle, but for the money they fit my needs perfectly.

I like these boots a lot - very cute and have a soft cotton lining that I think makes them equally wearable in any season. They also fit a larger size calf, which is a benefit for me. They definitely run true to size, so unless you will wear very thick socks, order your normal size. I ordered a half size too large to be on the safe size, and they tend to pull down my socks when I walk. My only complaint is that they don’t have as good of grips as I had hoped. I wear them to work and I’ve slipped outside on some black ice (small slip) and also when I walked into our office building (granite floors, big slip).

Living in Berkeley, I need a good pair of rain boots to keep my feet dry. These definitely fit the bill. The flocking inside is nice and soft, and the buckle is adjustable, making it easy to wear them under or over pants. The only annoyance is that I am on the short side, and these boots are taller than some of the other rain boots I have owned, making it a bit difficult to cross my legs and such.

These boots definitely keep out water (and are pretty warm), but they fit a little funny. They’re really loose around my ankle, so my heels aren’t particularly secured when I’m walking, and my socks get eaten... They also don’t have much arch support, so I’m going to buy insoles.

These are really cute in person. They easily slip on over jeans, so I'd say they're probably a good choice for someone with bigger calves. They do run large though. I normally buy a size 9 to 9.5 in US sizes and a 40 in European sizes (never an 8.5 or a 39). There's a lot of toe room. I've been wearing them with really thick socks and it's been fine though. I'm happy with the purchase overall. These are very chic for rain boots!

These boots were comfortable and functional until they cracked only five months after I got them. I contacted Zappos and they sent me another pair, which I was happy with for another six months until one cracked again. This time, I'm looking for more long-lasting boots.

I was expecting a bit more from these boots. I bought them as combination rain/snow boots, and they do the job decently well. Not too much arch support. I added insoles which help a little. Also, when wearing them over jeans, they tend to twist around my pant leg as I walk. I end up with the side inseam twisted around to the front. I'll keep them, but I wish they were a bit better.

Ankle part is way too big, did not feel stable when I walked. Wish there were more fitted rain boots out there.

So disappointed in these boots. The style is great, they are comfortable, but on the bottom of each boot where the heel joins to the sole, there are small bits of the lining thread sticking out. If threads can stick out then water can get in. Not what you want with a rain boot. I actually returned one pair and ordered another thinking the first pair was defective. Found the same problem with the second pair. Such a shame. I liked these Tretorns better than the Hunters I ended up buying but no way I'll buy rain boots likely to leak. I can't believe Tretorn didn't design these boots with heel and sole in a single piece.

These boots exceeded my expectations and are easily my new favorite pair of walking boots. I purchased these in the charcoal gray color, and they are really modern looking. I normally wear a 6½, and the 38 was the right size for me. These fit my calves well. They are not snug and have plenty of room to tuck in pants. They are super cute, comfortable, and warm. And what a value at this price. As always, great service from Zappos.

If your calves are wider than, say, 14" or so across, do not even bother trying on regular Hunters, for example (unless you are really into the scrunched-around-the-heel look for rain boots). These Tretorns, however, are fantastic. Not only do they fit my 16" diameter calves, the adjustable gusset is actually adjustable - so if I wanted to shove some think sweatpants or something in there, I could. Yes, the ankle is wide, but that just means you don't have to struggle to get the boots on or off; if you are looking for sexy rain boots, may be readjust your priorities? There is no arch support, which is typical for rain boots, but I have had a lot of luck with my Birkenstock inserts (speaking of sexy!).

I love these boots! I am usually a 9-9½ and I got a 8 in women's size and they fit perfectly. They also have room for warm boot socks so you can wear them on a colder day. I compared these boots to Hunters, and I honestly think these boots are more comfortable. Plus they have a functioning adjustable strap for the width of the calf so these boots can fit almost anyone! I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great boots! I have wide feet and wide calves, and these are a great fit. Very comfy for walking, and the lining is soft.

Great boots that run a little big (I am usually a 6.5 or 7, I ordered a size 6 and they fit great). I am a field biologist, so I need boots that will keep me warm and dry while I am walking through the marsh and these are perfect. Not much arch support, but very comfortable anyway. There was a very small manufacturing defect on one of the boots, but it doesn't seem to affect their water-tight integrity.

I wear between a 7½ and an 8 size shoe and the 7 was just right. The rubber is so soft and moveable that they are the most comfortable rain boots I have ever had. I live in Seattle.

Love these. Fit is great. Calf is adjustable. I work and play in these and they are easy to take care of and comfortable on my feet.

These were my very first pair of rainboots and I love them. Bought them last year and they are still in wonderful condition. They look amazing in jeans and I get lots of compliments on them. I have wide calves so it was hard finding a boot that worked well with me - this boot meets all my requirements. I get tired with them after about 8 hours or so wearing them, but that's probably because I have flat feet. Regardless, great purchase.

Finally found a pair of rain boots to fit my wide calves. Took a lot of trial and error but I really like the fit of these boots and they're comfortable to wear. I did add some heel insert support which makes it better. Wish it came in other colors. Bonus that the price is more reasonable than Hunter and the like.

Love these boots. Looked everywhere because other boots just did not quit fit in the calf area, just short of ever being able to tuck in my jeans. But not these...they have the adjustable strap that is actually functional and holds exactly where you want it to. My feet come right out of them, which is a plus, other boots seemed to suction cup to my foot and it was tug of war to get out. If you have been looking forever for that perfect boot, look no more, these are the ones. I'm 5'9", 140 lbs. and wear size 9 shoe and bought so I bought a size 9 boot. They're perfect, just enough room for a sock if I desire. They hit just about 2 inches below below my knee.

These boots went with me to the wilderness of Alaska and slogged easily through rivers, bays, mud, and sludge. The solid construction meant that my feet stayed dry. A slightly soft inner lining helps socks slide in and out easily and the styling was cute. With a bit of soap and water, they return quite easily to their white color after some abuse. They fit true to size and the wide calf fit very well. I can rarely ever find a pair of boots that fit so this was a pleasant surprise.

The boots are lined which keeps your feet warm - but does not make your feet hot in the summer. I have thick calves but thin ankles and it's hard to find rain boots. These boots do not buckle like Hunters do and I am really happy with my purchase.

I have had many pairs of rain boots over the years. These are among the most comfortable I've ever owned. Worn them most days during an exceedingly wet summer in Maine and they have been fantastic, even for all-day wear. Highly recommended.
