I really loved the look of this shoe; however, the left foot did not align correctly. I found my left inner foot slipping off the inside of the shoe. The right one was fine.

I was confident this brand and style would be comfortable and attractive, and I was right. I did find that on one foot especially it felt like my big toe did not have enough room and would stick out over the sole a bit, but as long as I am not out taking a long walk in rocky terrain it is probably fine! I bought these for a trip to Boston in summer to replace a similar pair I had had for 10 years, and of course the arch support feels pretty good in comparison!

Comfortable...but... These are very comfortable, but I wear a size 9 1/2, and the 10 is too long. If they were offered in half sizes, I would be happier with them. However, I am keeping them for the looks and comfort; I love Merrells and my podiatrist recommends them.

This shoe appears to have an adjustable strap for those of us who have a narrow foot. The strap is just decorative and no adjustment can be made. Wouldn\'t it be wonderful if Merrell would make shoes in narrow width!

These thongs have a great bouncy sole. The adjustable strap really isn't very adjustable though, and if they do get wet they really stretch out so don't get stuck in the rain. I had a pair last summer that ended up stretching out so much I have them to goodwill. But, I ended up ordering another pair since they are very comfortable. I have a narrow foot and wish they were narrower or the strap was truly adjustable. Not particularly good looking shoe, but bounciness of sole makes up for it. I wear 7-7.5 and the 7 fit well.

I have been wearing another brand of thong for the last 6 years. I have neuropathy in my feet and legs and can only wear certain shoes/sandals. These looked good and sounded good. The others just didn't look good for work and casual dress, but great for the beach or just around the house. I love the feel of the Gardena, but the top of the sole, (ball of the foot) is just too narrow for my already narrow foot. It seems like the strap between the toes is too far left or something. I didn't order a wide as my foot is anything but wide. I'm afraid to order the same size in another Merrell and maybe having the same problem.

These thongs are very, very comfortable and cushioned although not as good as they used to be. The neoprene fabric on top of your foot is great cause you don't get any irritations. The only thing I don't like is that the fabric under your foot on the thong has an odor to it after I wore them (I have very clean feet). There is something funny about the fabric you walk on that the smell doesn't go away.

I love the way these shoes look and they, like all Merrell shoes, are very comfortable, but I found the shoe to be a little narrow in the toe area. I do not have wide feet, but my big toe hung over the edge of the shoe just a bit.

Very cute shoe. I usually wear 7 1/2 so I first ordered a 7, and it was too narrow so I ordered the 8. It was a little longer but still too narrow. My toes were hanging off the sides and I have never had that problem before; the toe length is very short also.

These flip flops are exactly like my previous Merrill flip flops, but for one thing. The part that goes between the toes is much wider than the ones I have. This makes them very uncomfortable for me.

This is the second time I ordered the Gardena Thong. It is simply stylish. The foot bed is incredibly supportive (and I have very flat feet!). The upper includes a little bit of elastic along with the leather so it fits perfectly. The thong is very comfortable. My first pair is now 2 years old and they still look great! These are so comfortable to walk around town. I have really flat feet and usually use orthotics. These replace that need! I'm also overweight and these handle all those issues as well. I'd love to see Merrell add some more style to these.

I bought my first pair of Gardena Thongs about three years ago, and a year ago bought another pair just because I like the style and fit. I recently wore the older pair through a deep, large, and unavoidable puddle and they were soaked. I was sure they would come apart after that, but I wore them until they were dry, and they retained their shape and never did show any sign of coming apart. This is definitely a reason for sticking with these sandals.
