Before buying or reviewing cowboy boots please do some reading, they don't fit like other shoes or boots. These boots are very comfortable! I have plantar fasciitis & can still walk, stand & ride in these all day pain free! Fit true to size for me.

I have six pairs of Ariat boots. One red, 3 black (short, regular and just below the knee) and 2 brown, including Western R Toe, Roper, Legend and Billie. I love these boots. They give me height without instability. With a pair of good socks they keep me warm in Maine. They also have rubber soles which are good in snow and ice. My favorites are black Billie, which I confess I took to the cobbler to remove the dusting/greying. They fit like a glove. The Roper is less cowgirl boot and more work boot, so does not fit like a glove around the instep. I bought my first pair at a local store, half price thinking I would not be out that much if I did not like them, but I did like them and 4 of the 6 were bought on Zappos of course!

I could not wait to sit down and write this review! I have been looking for black pointed toe boots for a while now. My issue was fuller calves and these fit like a dream with room to spare for jeans to tuck in! Comfortable you ask? Lets just say this, I've been hanging out in my PJ's all day, sick. :( And these came! I kept them on with my PJs! I did order a 1/2 size smaller. Went in store and tried on some Ariats and an 8 was to big. You wont be disappointed! Love the trim cutout by the way and Zappos was so fast! Good job Ariat!

This boot ran a little large, about half a size, so ordering a half size smaller is a good idea. I really like these boots as they are well made and comfortable.

I agonized over boot choices. I narrowed it down to a couple of Ariat styles and one from Justin. I really wanted to like the Justin boot (Stampede), but it was just too loose. The Ariat fit is amazing. I had a pair of boots that I really liked that my daughter "borrowed" a couple of years ago. Sure enough, they are Ariats. I ended up with this boot -- the fit is so comfortable and I like the dark brown distressed look. I am reliably a 7.5. My foot is on the narrow side and I have a narrow heel, but not so much that I wear narrow shows. The size 7 Ariat fits perfectly (they do run a little narrow but that's great for me). (And it turns our my old Ariats were size 7 too.) Love Zappos. They were very patient and helpful with my returns to get exactly the right boot.

These boots are everything I wanted in a cowboy boot. They are the most comfortable shoe and the quality is obvious once you slip them on. Even my husband thought they were worth the money. I did order a half size up, I have wide feet and knew I could always get thicker socks if I needed. Love them!

A gift for my granddaughter and she couldn't have been more pleased! The fit was excellent and she was able to wear them immediately and for a long time without breaking them in.

Love these boots! I looked for a long time to find something durable, comfy and not too busy. My tastes run to clean and classic. The boot is durable, I can mess around in the muck and mud with the dogs, hose them off, let them dry and wear the with skinny jeans and a nice sweater. They were a little tight across the vamp as I have a high arch. Got them stretched and they are fine. I love the look of the J toe. I will be wearing these boots for a long time.

I don't know how much this can help but I will say that the product was as advertised, no gimmicks. The fitting info helped and the boots are extremely comfortable. Kudos to Zappos.

I wanted a pair of black boots and also a pair of cowboy boots, so killed two birds with one stone (sorry PETA) and purchased these Ariat Heritage Western J Toe boots in black. I originally ordered the R toe, but the calf width was too wide/flared...looked like something a pirate would wear. I exchanged them easily for the J toe, which were perfect. I've worn these with jean (tucked in and out) and with leggings, jeggings and dresses and received many compliments. True to size and extremely comfortable...could probably run track in them, but I won't!

Love these boots! When I first took them out of the box, I told my husband that I need to put them on a shelf and just look at them. They're so pretty- like a work of art! They feel like art too! This is my first pair of cowboy/girl boots and I have heard horror stories about "breaking them in". I have had no problem what so ever. I will be getting another pair of Ariats as soon as the money is available

Beautiful boots. Unfortunately my wife has a high instep and has problems with putting on the boots, even after removing the insole.

This is the first time we ordered from Zappos and the order process and delivery was easy and prompt. The boot fit perfect and looked just like on the picture. Very well made, comfortable sole inside. Just the perfect boot.

These are so comfortable. I usually wear a 7 1/2 and ordered that size but they were too big so I exchanged them for the 7's and they were perfect. They have great support, look fabulous with jeans and skirts and even my friend the "Cowboy Boot Snob" said "Wow, great boots!" when he saw them.

These are great western boots. They were comfortable from the first time that I wore them. I have high insteps and Ariat boots fit me well. This is my third pair of Ariats.

I absolutely love these boots! I have high arches and plantar fasciitis so it is hard to find boots that are comfortable. These have great support and were comfortable right out of the box! I think a few reviewers might not understand how cowboy boots fit. I have not had trouble with my ankles or the leather being stiff. I love them so much that I am buying them in both colors.

Love them! Extremely comfortable to wear. Couldn't be happier with the fit and quality for such a great price. I have a pair of Corral boots that I adore and paid more than double the price for but these exceed the Corral in comfort. Highly recommend. Classy, durable and get better with each wearing. No break in time at all. I usually wear a 9; sometimes an 8 1/2. Tried both sizes and the 9 was the way to go.

I cannot rave enough about these boots. I have never owned cowboy boots and was concernd they might be "too young" (I'm 53) for me. The boots arrived and I have worn them every day for 5 weeks at one point or another and have received many compliments. They are as comfortable as sneakers but look way better and work with any kind of pants. Have not down with a dress or skirt yet. I sometimes go up to a 9 in a boot, but got the 8 1/2 and it is perfect. Great boot!

This boots are great! I wore them the first night I got them all night! They are a great color and so comfy! Easy to get on and off! I have worn them with a dress and skinny jeans. Both look great! I wear a 7 in most shoes. I ordered a 7 and they fit perfectly!

So bummed. Beautiful boot. The footbed is very comfortable. I am a 7.5 and the 7 fit perfectly. I have narrow feet and calves and these were great except for the seam stitching around the ankle. It happened to sit right on my bones and was hurting. I don't want to wait to see if they stretch out so am sending them back.

Very comfortable once you find the right size. I ordered a whole size down from my usual 7 and they fit like a dream. Very pretty!

I really like the boots, great quality. I got a half size smaller because of all the reviews on here, but I don't think it is necessary. Also, the foot was a little long and pointy for my taste, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

These boots are beautiful and so comfy - unless you're flat footed, in which case the side seams rub against the inside of your ankle...so sad to be returning these, but purchased "Twisted X" WWT 0025 boots instead and seam is wrapped in cloth and the sole is very comfortable...this boot has a similar look and scalloped top.

Another note: the 13" circumference stated in the description for this boot is completely wrong. It has a 15" circumference.
