I wanted to love these, but I do not think that Birkenstocks are for me. I wore these for about a week to try to break them in, and every time I would wear them for a few hours, my feet would feel very bruised and achy. I spend a lot of hours on my feet (I am a runner, I bartend for a living, I hike a lot, I take my dog on long walks), and I normally do not need super comfortable shoes just for running errands. So, I thought that running errands in these sandals would be a great way to break them in. Every time I wore them out to run errands, I could not go on a run later because my feet hurt so bad. I think the quality is fantastic, and I have always wanted a pair of Birks. Maybe I should just get a different style or something. But I am returning them.

I loved these super-cute sandals - loved (past tense). I purchased these from Zappos in March and have worn them 1-2 times a week for the last three months. So that's, at most, 30 wearings or so...in the office and around the house. Easy wear - no long walks or hikes. Today the toe strap completely detached from the sole of the shoe. I expected much better quality from Birkenstock - but maybe I've been deceived by the brand. This was my first pair. I checked the Zappos return policy, but I guess they only allow returns on unworn items, not defective. So do yourself a favor, save your dollars and Don't Buy These.

These are true to size, 38 is a 7 or 7½ for narrow or wide feet, you can adjust. They are really cute and the style is super fashion yet comfortable.

Straps are very comfortable against the skin. Fit is the same as my other Birkies - which run larger than I thought - but very consistent between styles. Zappos delivery estimate was right on time.

Received shoe today, tried it on immediately and have not taken it off since. So comfortable. I have read other reviews before ordering and decided to go with a size smaller as recommended in other reviews and it paid off. Shoe fits perfect and this will be my go-to summer shoe.

I love these shoes and am thinking of ordering another pair of them to make sure when they wear out I still have another pair. Thank you for a great product.

Good-looking shoe. Haven't worn them outside yet. But I'm trying them on they are a little loose. Maybe if you can try the next size down. However I do have small ankles. I'm sure the show will wear fine. I think this because I have the Myra sandal and those are fabulous!! The Yara and the Myra appear to be basically the same minus the ankle strap.

I'm obsessed with these shoes. I bought them in the same size as my other Birkenstocks (the classic two strap), a 39, and they fit perfectly. I did not find them uncomfortable at all even initially. They're exactly as they appear in the photo and go great with everything I wear, even dresses. My go to sandals.

I got the birk-flor black patent and was very disappointed to see the shiny weird footbed! You cannot tell that it is like that from the photos.

These shoes are amazing! They were my first pair of Birkenstocks along with the white ones and I loved them. When I first wore them my feet were a little sore because the shoes weren't molded to my feet yet. Now that I have had them for a while, my feet are never sore.

Great stylish sandal, so differen yet with the same comfort expected from Birkenstocks. Fit is same, I usually wear a 39. I have plantar fasciitis, so I only wear.

I have been eyeing these Birks for a few years now, but #1) they're hard to find and #2) I was always worried the ankle straps would be too loose and/or painful. So, I told myself if I ever found them in my size in the "Antique Brown" color that I would get them. Well, I did and I love them. I am a size 8, but order one full size down in Birkenstocks (37) as I find they run a full size large. I ordered the Yara's in the regular width, but I received the narrow width by mistake. A great mistake as these Birks must run slightly wide as I normally find 37N to fit a bit too snug, especially around my heel; however, these are perfect in every way. The straps fit comfortably around my skinny ankles on the smallest setting & they require no breaking in period. Comfort right out of the box! The leather is very soft and the Antique Brown color is absolute perfection! So happy with these Birks. I was able to score them on sale, but I wouldn't hesitate to pay full price.

Do NOT order the next size up in this Birkenstock. It isn't necessary. I wear a size 40 in Birkenstock. I wear the same size in this style. It is super comfortable and very cute, but I'd suggest you have to have skinny ankles to wear them. I have very skinny ankles, and they are almost too tight. They are loosening up already, however. I recommend these shoes highly. They are so pretty on the foot, and they are less clunky than you might expect for Birks.

Very excited about these new sandals. I am going to be pregnant throughout the summer and thought it would be worth the money to have a pair of sandals with good arch support, but I am tall and didn't want anything that would add much height. These are my first pair of Birkenstocks and I was nervous about them being too big, but I ordered a 41, my normal European size and they fit very well, although maybe a little bigger than how other 41 shoes fit me. I also have thick ankles and I wasn't sure if the strap would make my ankles look even thicker, but they don't at all. Overall, really pleased with my purchase and looking forward to warm weather!

They do run big. I need to return for next size down. I can not wait to get the replacement though! They looked awesome and were comfortable already even though not broken in yet.

I LOVE these Birks! I did order one size smaller than my regular (I am typically an 8.5 / 39, but went with the 38 based on reviews). They fit perfectly. Footbed is typical for the brand and has great support throughout. The thinner straps on these make them a bit more feminine looking. Love that. I did where them for shorter periods the first 2-3 times to avoid excessive rubbing until the leather softened. But 2 weeks in they are dreamy.

These are very comfortable and cute on the feet. It takes me a little more time than I want to fasten the ankle buckle. But otherwise, I love them. They are good for casual wear.

Love these shoes. I ordered my regular size (41) as well as a size down, per other reviewers' recommendations. The 40 is way too small (couldn't even buckle the strap), but the 41 is perfect.

Just a heads up, I wear the same size in the Yara as I do in the two other Birkenstock styles I own. I took the advice of several reviewers, who stated that this particular style runs larger and sized down. Mistake! I immediately exchanged them; which Zappos makes so super simple. FYI- I wear an 8.5--9 US. I wear a 39 in Birks and Mephistos.

The leather is thick and beautiful. They did rub my feet on one side but after wearing a few times they were broken in. This is my third pair of Birkenstocks. I am normally a 39 in European sizes but I went a size down and they are perfect! Buy these!

Love these shoes! I always wear a 9 but I had to go down a size because the 9 was way too big. I am a shoe-aholic and these are my very favorite pair. These were my first pair of Birkenstocks and I love them! They did take some time to break in but so worth it! The sizing is really weird. I usually wear a 10 in everything which is a 40 or 41 but I wear a 39 in Birkenstocks I recommend trying them on in person and getting you size before buying them online to save you the trouble. Super cute and can be dressed up and down!

I LOVE THESE! The style is so cute and comfortable!! I have owned one other pair of birks before and they took FOREVER to break it and was painful. Surprisingly theses didn't hurt or need breaking in at all!! I will say... Size down. I'm usually a 38 and I ordered a 37 and they fit perfectly!

I am a size 5.5-6 depending on the brand and type of shoe, 22.5 cm long, normal width, never a size 5. I ordered size 36 because all the shoe sites list 36 as for sizes 5-5.5 and all the reviews say it is 1/2-1 size larger. Still too big! With the heel cup, it is obvious that the shoe is big for me and there is still 1 finger (1 cm) of space in the back. With other shoes, 1 finger of space is not a big deal because you can adjust the straps so your foot can be more centered. However with this sandal, because of the arch and toe grip contours, the foot needs to be positioned correctly with your toes over the toe grip. It wouldn't help to move my foot back b/c then my toes wouldn't be in front of the toe grip; they would be right above it. The shoe is quite lightweight and the habana oiled leather color is true to picture (dark brown). The hardware is also true to picture (copper toned). Zappos please carry size 35! Especially since it is known that Birkenstock is usually 1/2-1 size bigger, and Birkenstock does make size 35 for all their women's shoes. I'd have to resort to kid sizes for Birkenstock on Zappos now, and it doesn't help that kid's style are not the same as women's styles.
