Last year I bought the same pair only the sizing was 7 71/2. That just didn't work for me. I needed a straight European size 37. I ended up giving my others away and buy this pair. I am very pleased and will never settle for mixed sizing again.

Break-in period lasted all of one hour. Convenience and comfort with every step. Should have bought these long ago!

Like the leather. Just as expected

Front of sandal too narrow for my feet--4th and 5th toes drape over outside edge. Exchanging for a medium/wide width even though my shoe size has never been a wide. Leather pretty--black oiled is more a soft black/deep charcoal gray color than deep black.

These are more comfortable than I expected. They look great with cropped jeans and are perfect for the pool. I’ve only had them a short while but have already worn them a ton!

Husband wears these no stop. He has had trouble with feet hurting and these cured it.

If you have chronic back problems, give these regular sole Birkenstocks a try. For some reason, these are the only shoes that I can wear all and have my back feel actually better.

These are exactly what I hoped they would be.. Super quality just like my pair I had many years ago. They are stiff and will have to break in but that is how Birks have ALWAYS been. Then they form to your foot and you don't want to wear anything else!

I ordered my usual European size 39, but with the narrow fit because other reviewers suggested that. SO GLAD for the advice, they fit perfectly! Only worn a few times and they were comfy immediately.

Good fit. It took me three tries to get the right size. I will there had been a size chart on the site as there is on the packaging of the show. That would have helped a lot.

These are game changers! They go with EVERYTHING and they are super comfortable. If you've never worn Birks before it may take a minute to get used to (versus flip flops or slides with softer footbeds.) The arch support is great, and the straps are adjustable to let you decide how loose or tight you'd like to wear them. I'm normally an 8 or 8.5, depending on the brand. I got a 39 narrow in these (recommend narrow unless you have really wide feet) and they fit perfectly.

After 20 years, I've finally replaced my previous Birks with this pair. Despite the famously long break-in time, these were comfy right out of the box. The leather feels right, and looks classic, and like the rest of the sandal will get better with age. In a throw-away world, $125 Birks remain an incredible value, if your feet and fashion sense can handle them.

Babyboomer Bliss! These are your 1970's German made Birkenstocks. Seniors you will love these. Remember the narrow are for most women and the regular are for most men. The oiled leather is durable and not as finicky as the suede. We always condition and spray ours with shoe product first. They are incredibly comfortable, last years, and can even be worn in the winter with socks, yeah we do that! A good investment.

Size and fit are just fine. if one is of a Birkenstock frame of mind, they are also very stylish.

Fit and size were true. Anticipate they will get more comfortable as I wear them.

My son just liked the soft footbed better - so we returned them - otherwise, they're perfect, as usual!

Great style. The break in period was about a week. After that, shoes are comfy.

This is my 3rd pair and I LOVE these shoes! These were recommended to me by my orthopedic doctor due to a foot injury I sustained (can you say pain when walking with a torn fascia?)! So I purchased out of necessity the first time. The second and third time was due to the amazing comfort! I wear these from the time I get up until I go to the gym! They are so comfortable and my feet don't experience pain after wearing them all day! They are an investment but they last forever! Highly recommend!

Been wearing Birks for near 50 years. The first pair felt like my shoes out of the box (and walking out of the store … “online”, of course, was yet to be imagined). The current Arizonas are as good as my first ones.
