I wear size 81/2 wide or 9 in shoes. I went with a 40 in the suede Birkenstock sandals. They took me a little while to get used to but are very comfortable now. They seem to match with a lot of the summer outfits I wear. Even though I love the suede and did spray them with fabric protector I did get a stain on the top strap of one. Still, I don't think I would have chosen the other colors, just unfortunate. But I would still recommend them.

These are replacement Birkenstocks. My last pair were no longer wearable. Couldn't live without these sandals in the summer.

My husband has very wide feet with a high instep and therefore has a hard time finding shoes that fit. These sandals fit and are very comfortable. This is about his fourth pair!!

Takes a day or two to break in, but once broken in, the most comfortable summer sandal there is.

My friend wears a size 9 so I ordered size 40. She says they are the perfect size and she loves them.

I LOVE my Birks! I wear a size 9.5 and ordered a 40, they were too small, so I sent them back for a 41, they fit perfect! My foot is narrow, so this size fit perfect. Take note these will not be comfortable on a WIDE foot! It took it couple days to break them in, but now they are my go-to-shoes!

These Birkenstock sandals are the best ever, I hesitate to even take them off at night. Don't mess with my Birkenstock's!

My 15 year old Grandson loves his new Birks!!! The entire hockey team wear them to games!!

Love, love, love 'Birks'!! Have worn them for decades! Call me 'crunchy', Birks are my sandal of choice in the summer! If you check college campuses, Birks have a monopoly on footwear (i.e. UMF, Farmington). The fit, footbed and arch are something akin to 'perfect'!
