Perfect travel pants. Zippers easy to zip both ways one-handed. Wonderful for keeping that foreign currency handy and safe. Great fit for one with more narrow hips. Great stretch, retain shape. Fast drying, stain resistant. I have 3 pairs in 3 colors. One pair I've had for over 8 years and can't tell the difference between those and the newer pairs. They are the only pants plus one pair of black slacks I took on a 12 day trip around the islands/highlands of Scotland. Spot cleaning rarely needed. Want to buy more but don't really need them since they are of such great quality.

I wore these comfortable pants on the plane to Germany, washed them a couple of time on my 14 day Alpine tour. Love them. They also dry fast besides being comfortable.

I love all of the Merrell Belay pants. I have 4 of the capris, 3 of the belay long, and three of the belay frost which I have one of on at this moment. The belay frost are my daily winter uniform. They all are comfortable and look great and are reasonable in price compared to a nice pair of jeans. I have both size 10 and 12 and they both fit well, one obviously being a little more snug than the other. I am so happy to have discovered them on Zappos as they are not available in my area.

Bought these pants for a trip to Africa. They did not disappoint. Perfect weight for daytime heat and night time coolness. Kept the mosquitoes at bay. When wet dries quickly.

I love the fit and fabric of these pants; slender without tight, comfortable without baggy. They work for me! I'll probably get them in the crop length too.

Great pants for casual wear. Look great on. Because of the material, they don't breathe like cotton, so not the best in really hot weather. Wash up nicely and ready to wear. Style is nothing exciting, but can be dressed up or down.

Super pants. Bought these for a short trek in Peru. Worked great on frigid conditions up in the high mountains, as well as very sunny and warm conditions climbing the peaks around Machu Picchu. Do dry very quickly, are super comfortable, fit really well, and look so good! I bought 7 pairs of the top rated hiking pants from Zappos/REI/EMS. These were the winners! Met a fellow American on the trail in these same ones on the khaki color. Look just as good! Highly recommend.

Great fit. Not too low in the rise. I bought 1 size up as my normal size was tighter in the hip/stomach than I prefer in a casual pant.

I LOVED the waistband on these--it has elastic!! But they were too short. I wish they came in tall sizes. I am 5'7" with long legs and the size 8 was about 3" too short. I also don't like that they put the word "Merrell" in big letters on the pocket. When I travel, I wear this type of pant out to dinner. But if I don't tuck in my shirt it would cover it. The side pockets are good, with zippers. The one on the leg lays funny since the zipper runs across your thigh horizontally. I lot of trail pants have this and I'm not a fan. My iPhone 6 fit in there but weighed the pants down too much and felt uncomfortable. I would have kept them if they were long enough though because of the fantastic waist.

I have loved this style by Merrell for years now, especially the capris. I've gained a lot of weight recently and have worn them through three sizes even! The capris are also excellent btw. 4-way stretch makes hiking a breeze, and the side cargo pocket is on right at fingertip level where I keep my iPhone. I'm left-handed so that's not optimal but oh well. The front pockets are flat and zipped -- they look great but don't hold anything bulky without looking weird. The only thing about these pants that I have never liked is the back waistband. It's just a flat piece of elastic that doesn't STAY flat, eventually it turns a bit inside-out. But even with that, I just cover the top with T-shirts so I don't care they make me feel good!

I wear between a 10 and 12 usually. Because people said these ran big I went with the 10, but it was a little snug so had to return it. The frost pants seem to have a little more room.

These fit great! I have larger thighs and these laid smooth. Really flattering and slenderizing. I did end up returning them because they were loud when you walk. If they make them in a different fabric, I will buy right away!

I have been looking for hiking/trekking pants to wear on two upcoming trips and have ordered these Merrell Belay pants as well as the Merrell Aurora and the Kuhl Vala. The Kuhl Vala is a great fit and true to size, comfortable to wear and a perfect for hiking. The Merrells are not true to size and I had to order up a size on the Aurora which is fine since they fit well and are going to work. The belay has a different fit and ended up being too short. Kept the Kuhls and the Merrell Aurora.

These are not cut for an athletic build. There is plenty of room in the legs, a nice higher rise in the front, but not enough room in the seat. The model in the pictures must have no booty! My normal problem with many pants is gapping at the back of the waist; with these, the pants don't even make it there. They are seriously about 2-3" higher rise in the front than in the back. I'm size 2-4 normally. My favorite pair of pants is Levis 512's size 4. Second favorite is Inc (a Macy's brand) curvy fit size 0.
