Zappos thinks that they are this amazing shoe place but they do not understand a thing about Birkenstocks. Birkenstocks come in N or R width. God help you if you want Birkenstocks in a fabulous new color or pattern. All they carry are N. Everyone carries N it is the 39R that I want. It fits great but if they carry any Rs at all they are taupe. The exact color of mud. I would spend a lot of money a season for some fun sparkly new colors or whatever. I own about 25 pairs in all kinds of colors but I have to search the world for them. Get me some fladhy Nee Birks in hot colors in 39R.

My wife loved these sandals this summer. She has several pairs of Birkenstocks and while the overall length of the shoe is consistent with her other styles, the sandal is more narrow. She has fairly narrow feet so this wasn't a problem. She liked how the shoe was a little more dressy than other Birkenstock style. I think they can be dressed up or down for around town or on a date. They go great with a dress or jeans. There appears to be little wear on the shoes even after a summer season of moderate use.

The right shoe runs directly behind my little toe. I am hoping with wear the shoe will stretch/adjust to my foot.

These Birkenstock Madrids are my 3rd pair of Birks after Arizona & Zermatt (favorite). I chose this model for the slim single-strap feature perfect for summer, and I wanted to try Birko-Flor Birkibuc material, which I also like. Pretty comfortable right out of the box, just being a little stiff the 1st day only.

I never have to think w Birkenstock sizing. I always get the same size & width & they’re always perfect.

Fits really well and doesn’t take long to mold to your feet. I bought these as a replacement for a pair of 12+ year old Madrids.

Great fit. I bought these as a replacement for the same pair I bought 12 years ago. Still breaking them in a bit, but even after just a few wears, they’re feeling as great as my old pair.

These shoes are FIRE!!!!!!!!! I broke them in in like one second.

The bumps in the sole felt very uncomfortable under my toes as if they don’t line up correctly

The sandal fit perfectly. Very comfortable and stylish for everyday wear.

Altho o prefer the regular width, this narrow 38 still just fits and the copper color adds a unique subtle shine against my tan (and not pinky like rose gold). I only returned bc I wanted a different color the comfort and ease of sliding it on was great. I’m typically a 7.5 borderline wide and used to wear a 37 but the 38 gives my toes more room on side and front.

I have wide feet and the narrow fit perfectly.

I ordered a 40 in these. Perfect fit. The arch is supportive but doesn’t feel like you are walking on a rock like some of them.

The slip ons were attractive and I thought I would be able to wear them around my house. However, I received the correct size in narrow width instead if regular. Not sure if I made the error or if they were shipped incorrectly so they were too tight around the forefoot so I had to return them.

I love that these are narrow. Most Birks labled "narrow" are still wide on my feet. I'm typically a 6.5-7 in shoes and the 37 fit my feet.
