Found this shoe runs a whole size larger. Comfort is okay for me but seems to feel uncomfortable at the top edge of strap when walking.

I am all about the comfort when it comes to shoes, but I do like a little bit of style. I have these in the black patent Birkoflor, and they are my favorite summer sandals. I wear Birkenstocks and Dansko almost exclusively, and these are among my most stylish. I have even worn them to work on a casual Friday with a cotton dress. They have great arch support, but do require some getting used to if you don't wear Birks regularly; because of the position of the strap high on your forefoot, you are really using your toes to keep them on. Love the black patent, love the look, love the comfort.

If you just want to have a great day, order shoes from Zappos. The products are always top quality and no problems - ever! It makes everything better! This is the best company in the world, and I only wish all my online business could be done with Zappos. I give it ten, that's right, ten stars!

Birkenstock shoes are so comfortable; I can walk in these shoes all day. I own another pair and they are just as comfortable. I have a very narrow foot and the fit is perfect. Also with the adjustable strap they can be made even tighter.

I bought these for comfort more than style, but they are actually really cute and I love the blue-gray, slightly iridescent color. I live in a warm climate and was wearing flip flops all the time which have no support and made my back hurt. My chiropractor suggested I get Birk's instead of flip flops to help with managing back pain, and these have really helped!

Own a number of these, and would continue to recommend them.

Very attractive and comfortable sandal. It takes a bit to break in since the foot strap (for me, at least) rubs against the top of the foot\/toes and may create a blister. Very nice, wide, comfortable foot bed.

Bought one pair. Loved it, so I bought a second pair! Very comfortable and much less "clunky" than the usual Birkenstock shoes. I always order Birk's a bit small. I wear an 11 in most shoes but find the size 41 (10-10.5) always fits great.

This is a great shoe, comfortable and stylish. However, please note that I wear the regular size in other Birkenstock models, but had to return my original order for the Madrid as the regular was far too wide. I replaced it with the narrow and the fit was perfect.

A great pair of comfortable shoes. They are very shiny, I wasn't expecting that, but it makes them look better.

Love! I have several pairs of Birks and these are my favorite. My shoe size is 6 to 6.5, so I ordered a 37, too big. Gave the 37's to a friend and ordered a 36, much better.

Love these shoes. They\'re great to throw on after being stuck in high heels all day. They do run big though, so I had to go down a size.

Love these sandals. This is my fifth pair of Birkenstocks and they are great! Love the onyx color. I thought it looked a little light online, but in person it's just right shade of grey, which is a nice neutral that will go with anything. I gravitate toward the styles that don't have a lot of straps or thick straps and this one is stylish, but still provides that legendary comfort.

I wear a 7-7 1/2 in other shoes. In Birks, I wear a 37. I believe that you should add 30 to whatever size you wear. You don't want to wear these a size too big. My 1st pair was the Gizeh. I wanted a more "dressy" Birk. I saw the Madrid in an advertisement and had to have them. They are really cute and comfy. But not as comfy as my Gizehs. The only reason they are not as comfy is due to the single strap and where it's located (more towards the toe). Not that they are not comfortable -- they are! It tends to leave a little of a red mark on the top of my foot. My only complaint is that they weren't offered in white. I'm impressed. I love Zappos. Great customer service. Awesome company! Modern! Best prices! It should set the bar and example for all other retail sites. Get the shoes!

While I continuously wear these sandals, ordering from Zappos is an absolute delight! They upgrade shipping to allow me to receive my order quicker and I love that feature alone! This is the only place I will order from.

Love these shoes. I needed some sandals that offered a bit more support than flip flops and have been very happy with these! The style is much better than most birkenstocks, especially in the silver. I would definitely recommend them!

I love these sandals! I did have to return two different pairs because they were too wide and then still a size too big. I typically wear a size 7-7.5 and ended up with a size 36 in the narrow. (If I remember correctly, I was told that Birk\'s narrow is actually regular width, so unless you have very wide feet, I would order the narrow.) I love the black patent and have gotten many compliments on these. It\'s actually difficult for me to put on regular sandals now because these Birk\'s are so comfortable. I did not have an issue with blisters or breaking in. I was never a big fan of Birk\'s because they were so chunky, wide, and boring. These are much lighter, petite, and cute looking. I am considering getting more pairs!

This is my go-to shoe and I wear them every single day. They look good, are super comfy and go with everything.

Absolutely love these! I have semi-flat arches and they really help and are comfortable. A definite for your summer days.

I am a believer. The Birkenstock sole offers perfect anatomical support, eliminating back\/foot pain and leg fatigue. I wear these all summer in LA, even though the only other people I ever see wearing Birkenstocks are tourists. Give these a try. They will conform to your feet and last you a very long time. If anything, you can wear them at home while you are cooking or running around on hard flooring.

I love Birkenstocks, have an ancient pair of Arizonas, and decided it was time for a new pair. I got the golden brown - a neutral color so they’re great with anything - pants, shorts, skirts. They’re cute, less chunky than other styles, but with the same magic foot bed you find in a Birkenstock. They’re a little tight right now (I buckled them pretty tight because I don’t like shoes that slap so much), but soon they will form to my feet and they’ll fit.

I have very narrow feet, and am a pretty big fan of my Birkenstock clogs. I love my Milano sandals, but they don't quite suit my fashion sensibility. Maybe I've just outgrown them. I ordered the Madrids with hesitation. Summer presents a footwear predicament for me, because going casual in sandals means lots of searching. I just hate the way gladiators look, and even "classier" thongs still look too much like my ultra-casual Reef flip flops. These are really super. They definitely have a breaking in period, which my other Birkenstocks have not. I had blisters on one foot and was highly concerned. However, I stuck it out, and now they are completely comfortable. I'm going to buy another color.

I got these on my podiatrist's recommendation after a foot injury. They are so comfortable, give a lot of arch support, and have a good amount of cushion (I have a bone spur in my heel and these are the most comfortable shoes I've found, even more comfortable than sneakers). I've also gotten a surprising number of compliments on them. I'm not sure how well they would work for extended walks, since they slip a little like most flip-flops/slide-ons. They are definitely a good value for the price though.

This is by far the most comfortable flip flop ever. I now have them in 3 colors for summer. I stand on my feet all day and no longer have any foot pain. This is also the cutest Birk I have ever seen.

I\'ve recently been suffering from my feet and ankles swelling and none of my shoes would fit at the end of the day. The adjustable strap of the Madrid Birkenstock was a perfect solution. It allows me to fit the sandals throughout the day. The color that I thought was brown is actually goldish\/brown - a nice touch of bling for the somewhat homely but most comfortable shoe ever made.
