I’ve been living life in flip flops for the past couple of months and my knees and back are paying the price. I got this new pair of Birks to get a bit more arch support, but still keep the style and simplicity of my flip flops. The color (which I thought was a weathered brown in the picture) is actually a somewhat sparkly golden hue. I probably would have gone with another color, but they’re comfy and do the job: happy feet, knees, back.

These are my first pair of Birks ever. I actually haven't worn them for any length of time, just around the house for a few minutes to make sure I wanted to keep them. They are indeed very comfortable. (I have nearly-flat feet and they get achy quickly if I wear things with little arch support.) Be aware, though, that like all Birks they are a bit clunky looking when viewed from above. The newer print ads that show them only from the side, worn with a skirt, make them look cuter and less clunky than they really are. I think I will wear them only with pants or shorts, not skirts.

These sandals are absolutely the BEST...cute comfortable, can be worn with almost anything, and what's not to like about red patent leather. I just love mine and wear them almost all the time. I do think that European shoes run a little wider as well as a little bigger than the shoes I usually buy so you might think about ordering a size smaller than usual as well as a narrow rather than a medium. With Zappos incredible service the shoes that you order generally arrive the next business day and exchanges are a breeze. Zappos is without a doubt my favorite web-site.

Have worn Birks for many years, these are a very comfortable sandal, they do not move around on your foot; however, they do run a size larger though. I had to exchange them for a smaller size, which was no problem for Zappos. I have been shopping with them for more years than I care to remember and I have never had a problem with them ever. More companies should take a page from their book.

Excellent shoes!! I bought them because a friend of mine had them and I thought they looked nice so I got them in red patent. I didn\'t like them that much, I returned them, having to experience the EXCELLENT, USER-FRIENDLY, return policy of zappos and I got the golden-brown ones. They are extremely comfortable, it feels like they\'re massaging my feet!! And I am not a sandals person, I always considered them un-elegant but these ones look pretty! Got them half size smaller than my usual size and they fit wonderfully.

Great shoe. Very comfortable, but will take breaking in. Wear for a few hours a day, instead of all day when you first get them.

These are amazing!! A great price and super comfy! I stand for between 8-12 hours a day, and I reach for these every morning! Also, you can\'t beat Zappos service!

I originally ordered this in a 38 and they were way too big. I then ordered the 37 narrow and they fit great. I usually wear a 7.5 M shoe. They are pretty cute for Birkenstocks.

These sandals are very comfy. Definitely a good choice for anyone with foot issues. So many sandals offer no support to tired feet. These are very supportive. Much more stylish than the old school traditional Birkenstock also. I found them to run large. I wear a 9, but bought the size 39 which were supposed to fit 8-8 1/2.

I have always been a huge fan of Birkenstock. I've been wearing the Gizeh model for over 10 years. As I was looking to get another pair, I came across the Madrid in patent red and thought how cute for the summer. So glad I ordered them! Took me awhile to get used to the one strap but I love them as much as the Gizeh. I'm not a narrow, but that was all that was available. Not a huge difference compared to the regular. My mom also has the Madrid in regular width and narrow width. She doesn't see that much of a difference either.

I love these Birkenstocks! They are very comfortable and have great arch support. I had to order a size smaller than I usually wear. I wear a 7.5 American and I had to order a European 37.

I have several pairs of Birkenstocks and these are by far my favorites so far. I found them to run true to size. They are super cute, comfortable, and versatile. Not to mention the outstanding service provided by Zappos. I ordered these on Wednesday afternoon and received them the very next day. Keep up the good work Zappos!!

I have these in two colors. You need to keep in mind that they are shiny and not leather. Aside from that I love Birkenstocks. Finally they made some that do not look bulky. Comfortable and a must have for summer.

I love these shoes!!! They are different to walk in than other Birks as the part that goes over your foot is only one instead of two. I had to get used to holding my foot different while walking.
