Absolutely love these (thank you Zappos for carrying narrow width)! Very cute, stylish, and a bit more feminine for Birks. The fit is not as snug and a little bit floppy (even in a narrow width) like sport sandals with good arch support. So...if you don't mind the fit, I would highly recommend them for Birks.

They seemed perfect out of the box, but have gotten even better with time. The magic of Birkenstocks is that over a short time they start to mold to the shape of your feet, adding to their comfort.

I'm surprised at how much I like these shoes. I ordered because of a stress fracture. I needed a decent work shoe (they're patent leather) with some support. These fit the bill perfectly!

The Madrid slip-on is comfortable and stylish and I would highly recommend them. I also have a pair in black. They were comfortable the moment I put them on. Unless you have wide feet, I would recommend narrow, plus go down a size for the length.

I love Bekkie slip-ons. My last pair lasted 15 years because I kept them out of the rain. The narrows in these also fit regular width feet.

I love these shoes! I have been on a buying spree trying to get every color I can. I have never had a more comfortable sandal in my life! I have even worn mine all winter long in the NW. I'm on this site shopping for a new color!

I love these spiffy sandals in black patent! Yes, it may be because they take me back to the days when was 18 and wore Dr. Scholl's which were so easy on and easy off. But, gee, these have the Birkenstocok support and some sassiness, each in a way that the old Dr. Scholl's might not have had. The patent dresses these sandals up and will let me be dressy-casual in crop pants and a silk shirt. Or I will slip them on with jeans. And, OK yeah, buy another pair, as well. I wear an 8½ or 9 regularly, and the 38 narrow is a perfect fit. (Order down, all: shorter and narrower than you would ordinarily order.) It is great that these are so easy, like flip-flops, and yet kind to the feet in a way that works so much better for me than flip-flops. My toes, which do not take to the thong-thing. These are lovely sandals!

Love these Birkenstocks! Comfy yet dressy. Can add a shoe clip for a stylish sandal that can complement your best evening wear. Doubles as a casual shoe, too.

I wore "fake" Birkenstocks in high school. Loved those, but LOVE this sandal as a woman with a professional job. Dress it up, dress it down. The patent leather is too cute. I have wide feet and there is a spot where this shoe rubs and makes a callous-but it is tolerable. This sandal is worth the price.

Love this sandal. I have a wide foot, but ordered the narrow, and it was perfect!! So comfortable. Very nice gray. Goes with everything and is comfortable to boot!

Just received these shoes, and I am very pleased. I wear a 7 1/2 womens' and ordered a corresponding size in Birkenstock, although I did order the narrow, since other reviews mentioned the shoe might fit a little large. The shoes are perfect, comfortable to wear, and look good, as well.

Love these sandals - they feel great like Birkenstocks always do and the style is cuter (less clunky) than a lot of others. I was concerned that they wouldn't stay on my feet very well. I wouldn't try to run in them but for wearing around the house, errands and things like that they're perfectly fine. I usually wear size 7 1/2 and ordered a 38 narrow - they fit great, the color is nice too, slightly bronzy but not gaudy.

They're as beautiful and classy as Birkenstocks can be. So far, I've only worn them for quick errands and feel the adjustment/soreness. Would not recommend for walking long distances.

This is my fifth pair of Madrid slip-ons. I adore them. I have very narrow feet, normally wear size 7 AA-AAA, and need the 37 Narrow in Birkenstock. This is my second pair in silver and they are cute and feminine and do not overwhelm my slim feet. This is the shoe I put on first thing every morning, because they are so comfortable. I wear them as slippers, to walk the dog, walk to the beach, and to do errands all summer long.

Cutest, most feminine Birkenstocks ever! I have them in three colors. They go perfectly with capris, skirts, jeans - everything. I didn't think I'd like the non-leather upper, but it's comfortable and looks fine. I usually wear a size 8 in closed shoes and a 7 1/2 in sandals. My foot is not a true narrow in other brands, but a little narrower than average. I bought 38N and it's a perfect fit.

Love these shoes! These are my second pair. My first pair was in the black leather but I love the patent look. Was originally looking for the chocolate patent but nobody seems to have them in my size. I usually wear a size 8 and ordered size 38 so they do run a bit large. Great for slipping into and running out the door whether you are wearing shorts or a skirt. Super comfortable and supportive (I used to wear orthotics but haven't had to wear them in recent years except when exercising. This shoe does not irritate my plantar fasciitis).

I have been wearing Birkenstock sandals for 8 years and are so comfortable. This was the first time I bought the Madrid style and was nervous I wouldn't find them supportive enough but was pleasantly surprised. N.B. Be careful with insect repellent and patent finish, the repellent destroys the shine! I was mad that I didn't take them off before applying!

If you are looking for a pair of Birks that fit like Birks but don't look like paddles on your feet - this is your shoe. I get lots of compliments on them and they fit very well (NOTE: these are not snug Birks; your heel comes up when you walk). I wear a Size 8 and fit perfectly in a Birkenstock Size 38. I purchased these in the narrow width to keep them more stylish and couldn't be happier.

I usually wear 8½ (39) regular width but they did not have it so I ordered the narrow. I am very happy that I did. They run big so they are actually perfect. It took a few days for my feet to adjust to the footbed but now they feel very comfortable. I am glad that I purchased them. I wish they came in more vibrant, summer colors.

These Birks are cute, stylish and comfortable enough for all-day walking. I'm not a sneaker person, so these are my go-to, day-to-day summer sandals. I purchased them for a recent vacation to Chicago, and I'm so glad I did. They kept me in style and made my feet and back feel supported all up and down the Magnificent Mile.

I wanted a Birkenstock that didn't look so Birkenstock-y. I love these shoes! I got them in a narrow so that they would be nice and snug, and they have been great so far. Sometimes after lots of standing/walking my feet hurt, but that's probably normal.

Just a little background. I was in a bad auto accident last November and my left foot, although healed, is still very swollen and tender. I have been having a difficult time finding shoes wide enough to fit this foot. This is the first time I've ordered Birkenstock shoes and the first time I've ordered through Zappos. The first pair I ordered was too long, but the width was fine on the first hole. I have also found with Birkenstock that the men's and women's regular width is really wide (and virtually the same), but can be adjusted because they have holes in the straps. I also bought a pair of Arizona's with 2 straps and I think I'll like these also. As they promised, Zappos paid the postage BOTH ways. I reordered these shoes in a smaller size and had them within 4 days. I am very happy with the shoes and the shopping experience with Zappos.com.

Had these shoes years ago and they have not disappointed. Still wonderful, zappos was quick and fabulous as usual. Only wish was they had more colors in my size.

I have very narrow and even with the adjustable strap they slipped off my feet. Would have loved them.
