I have horrible feet and Birks are great. Always looking for one that is less clunky and this fits the bill. The only grip is that the strap is so narrow and so far front that these fit and walk more like a thong and 'snap' when you walk.

I bought mine in Germany 5 years ago and yes, they are tired. I hate to part with them but it is way past time. This have been the best sandals. I wear them all year. Enjoy yours!

I'm a huge fan of Birkenstocks. I practically live in them! I really love the Madrid because they go with anything I wear and they're super cute and flattering. I got the Licorice black color because I felt I'd get a lot more use out of them. I normally wear a size 7 but I ordered a size down (37) and they fit perfectly! Keep in mind, these will hurt a little the first couple of days as your feet break them in. Once they're broken in, you're good to go and you'll never want to wear any other shoe.

I've never had Birks before and got these because my flip flops were not helping my bad back. They have been life changing. My back has never felt so good and I feel like the support I get from the shoes is really sturdy. I ordered the Onyx which is a really pretty metallic grey with blue undertones and they go with everything. I've gotten so many compliments on them and two friends bought them because of mine and are thrilled as well. Oh, and I am a regular size 8 and bought a 39 and they fit perfectly. Also if you don't know, you need to give them a few days to break in before they fit like a glove. Definitely recommend - wish they had more colors!

Suffering from plantar and imbalance of my flat feet, these slippers provide ultimate comfort and support for me. I stand all day in closed in shoes at work and when I slip these babies on I feel such relief. I can walk miles in these. Love these slippers! Shipping was fast and excellent. Would consider ordering other styles of these again. Definitely something I would recommend to people suffering from foot ailments.

I just got these cute slip-on sandals and love them. I wear GOOD shoes, even around the house in the hopes of avoiding foot surgery. My feet never hurt and Birkenstocks always feel great. Cute style, great fit, always comfortable!

So glad I ordered these shoes. I love the Birk footbed - we have wood floors so I have to wear shoes inside or I have a lot of foot, knee, hip pain - but my clunky Bostons were not doing it for the summer. These are perfect for wearing without socks and look a lot cuter.

It does take a few days for these to mold to your feet and when they do they are very comfortable. Nice arch support. I wear a size 9 so I ordered size 8 and they were a perfect fit. I'd recommend these.

Highly recommend this shoe! These are very comfortable right out of the box. Love them. They do run small, I wear a size 6 shoe and the 36 Narrow was perfect. This color is a little coppery/shiny which I did not expect. Would probably have preferred a less shiny color but didn't want to send them back.

Very happy with these. Was looking for a single strap slip-on like the old Dr. Scholl's sandals, but with a more comfortable footbed and these are perfect. They have the classic Birkenstock footbed, so are a bit stiff at first,but quickly conform to your foot. I found the fit to be perfect. I normally wear a 6.5 M in US sizing, or 37 in European sizing and the 37 fit perfectly. I was informed that people who normally wear Regular width (open footprint) in Birkenstocks, usually order the Narrow (closed footprint) in these due to the single strap which doesn't provide as much security on the foot as their multi-strap styles. I wear 37 Regular in other styles. Love the Black Licorice. It has just enough shine, but not so much as the patent leather. These are my third pair of Madrids. And, as always, Zappos service is unbeatable.

Love love love! Birkenstocks are the only sandals I can wear with my flat, Achilles tendentious feet without any pain. These ones are more feminine than some other styles. I have worn these beauties everyday in this Texas heat. I'm and 8.5 and I fit in the 39 perfectly.

Love these shoes. I am so happy Birkenstocks are back in style. Super comfortable and I have actually gotten loads of compliments on them as well.

Style & comfort, what more could you want? I've worn Birks in the past, because they are truly the most comfortable sandals out there. These are no different. They have literally molded to the soles of my feet in a few week's time, and feel great. These sandals are truly an exception to the standard Birkenstock style, which some may see as 'unfashionable'. You wouldn't know the Madrids were Birkenstocks just by looking at them, but the moment you take your first steps in them, there it is! That comfort and good quality workmanship Birkenstock is known for. That being said they do run a size small. I usually wear a women's 8-8.5, but I ordered these in a 7-7.5 and they fit perfectly. An all around great purchase, I will hopefully have these sandals for many years to come!

I love these shoes! Make sure you order a size down than what your regular size is because they run big. They are super comfy and I can wear them with so much!

I love Zappos excellent service, I even got a price match. They are the only place to buy shoes from. I bought the onyx and it is a amazing color. It's slightly gray blue even prettier than the picture, they have a slight sparkle to them. I am always a 39/size 8 but had to go down to a 38/size 7 narrow, it fits perfect. They are comfortable and feminine, excellent for the trending style this year. Love Zappos!

My first pair of Birkenstocks! I love these super chic and yet comfy hippie sandals! They fit me true to size and I wear a Size 10. The leather is soft and sort of a soft black with a tiny, tiny hint of dark grey. I did have to adjust the buckle and once I did they fit nice and snug when I am walking. So excited for a comfortable and stylish slip on!

I love these sandals! I bought a pair on recommendation from my friends for travel in Europe, since I would be doing a lot of walking. They take a couple weeks to get used to the footbed, but once you do, you'll never go back to regular sandals! I ended up buying a second pair in Munich and I love them even more than my first pair. I suggest getting a pair with softer leather at the top, more suede-like than patent. They are more comfortable. My feet swell a lot after a bad car accident a few years ago, and the patent can cut into the top of my foot after a while. The softer leather that I got on my second pair don't cut into my feet, no matter how much they swell. I was a skeptic at first, but Birks are definitely the way to go. Try them out for a few weeks... you won't be sorry!

Super comfy and supportive. I ordered my regular size, although the size down would have been fine. Runs on the wide side, so I am normally a regular width, but I liked the fit and look of the Narrow Birkenstock better.

LOVE these shoes! Have always been a fan of Birkenstocks but I love that these don't "look" like birks. They are so comfy and these are actually my second pair!

I have Madrid in many colors and it's my favorite style of all the Birkenstocks I wear. Femininity along with good support.

These are great shoes! They are very comfortable and I am able to wear them all day without any foot pain. They look nice as well and not as bulky as this brand often does. I did have to buy a size smaller than I normally do.

I ordered these for a trip to Spain. They were so comfortable, I wore them all day for beach and city exploring. I have an extremely narrow foot and these fit like a glove. Loved the sangria color as it was not overly bright. Gracias!
