Great foot bed, but the back strap rubbed my ankle really badly. I couldn't even wear them around the house to try to break them in. The leather across the top of the foot is also very, very stiff, so it pressed on the top of my arch painfully. Loosening the strap just made the shoe flop around. I wish they'd make this style in suede, since it's obviously just the stiff leather that's the problem. For reference, I wear a ladies 8.5 medium, and went with the 39 narrow. Length and width were fine.

These sandals run one whole size larger. I am usually a classic 7.5 and I ordered a 38. My feet were swimming in them and I had to exchange them for the next size smaller.

Birkenstock has a good reputation, and I had high hopes for this as a walking sandal. But they're too expensive to keep if they're not right. They don't seem right for my feet. The arch support hits my foot in the wrong place, possibly because they're a little too big. But I think a smaller size might be too small.

The oiled leather was so thick and inflexible it was difficult to buckle/unbuckle - very uncomfortable. Additionally, this shoe was more than a full size longer than any other shoe I wear in that same size.

Size and fit were great, but leather was shiny, not oiled, like the pictures and description.

Maybe it was the straps, but the toe grip portion of the shoe hits me at the ball of my foot. Exceptionally uncomfortable. Didn't feel like taking a chance on these sandals. Additionally, these felt thinner in the sole. A less substantial shoe than my AZ slides or my Boston clogs. I read about that same issue in reviews about this same sandal in FP as well. Way to go Birkinstock, making Target quality shoes at a crazy a#* price point.

I wanted to love these and really hoped the Birkenstock foot bed would help issues I've been having with my feet. However, when I went to try them on I found that the footbed was the right size, but the straps on the heel and upper foot were too short and the strap that crosses just behind the toes just barely fit and was angled so as to dig into my foot. They are lovely, but do not love my feet. I really wish all of your sandals had measurements for the straps as this is the second pair of sandals I've tried (by two different brands) where the straps were to short for my feet.

Zappos has gone downhill as of late. $135 and no box? Really? Also sandals are used. There’s no hiding that Birkenstocks are used because they leave a print on the insole.

even the smallest Birks are too big for my feet. So unfortunately I need to give up my hope to wear Birk.

As always, Birkenstock does not disappoint. Have to wear a sandal strap now at work, so I was thrilled to find these. 10/10

Ordered the Birkenstock Milano Rugged for my husband, who is very particular in his likes. He's VERY happy with both the fit, style & finish. The Milano Rugged is a little more 'beefy' than the straight Birkenstock Milano & he loves the look of the faded khaki oiled leather (a rubbed, dark, mat, tobacco brown.)

I ordered these for my son. He loves these sandals and finds them very comfortable. He says they broke in really well. The molded bottom conformed to his foot. The straps, especially the back ones, are supportive, with no pinching. He feels they support his feet.

A lot more comfortable than I thought they would be! These are my first pair of Birkenstock’s and like that they did not look too bulky. I was able to wear them all day during travel without any blistering or rubbing.

Great fit for 11 Mens. Back strap helps with using on trails or anywhere you're going up, keeps sandals in place. These are pricey but they keep looking good for years; unlike the cheap imitations. Buy BIRK!

I have extremely high arches and these are the answer! Comfortable, stylish, etc... what more to ask for?

I've had these sandals for years and it never disappoints.

These fit great and are very comfortable. I tried a few different types of Birkenstocks without the heel strap (Arizona and Mayari) but could not get them to stay on my feet. The Milano look great and I don’t have to worry about them flying off while I’m driving. Oh wait, that’s my steering wheel. I digress! Great shoes!

Nice wellmade sandals. The back strap keeps them on my feet.

Needed to punch an extra hole in both straps. Now they fit very well and are forming to my feet. I've worn this still since 1993. I wore them on in 25 below weather and also wore them as pallbearer at my father-in-laws funeral

I have to return them because I was sent the wrong pair of shoes. I ordered the ones with the heel strap
