These shoes would be perfect, but two weeks after I got them the insole started coming loose and hiking up past my heel. It is very annoying and discomforting. when the sole is in place, these shoes feel great. They fit my wide feet perfectly and they seem to have the perfect amount of padding. They are my main shoes for work.

A little narrower/pointier (visually), stiffer, and the mesh is darker gray (almost the same color as the suede) than I expected, but really like these shoes anyway. Lightweight and appear very well made, and comfortable. Lowrise is nice and not too dramatic, and feels very stable.

I used to own a pair similar to these over 10 years ago, in EE width. These, however, disappointed me and I had to return them. The upper of the shoe fit great, but edge of the sole ended under the middle of the ball of my foot. This gave my foot a very unbalanced feeling like I was going to roll my ankle inwardly. It seems like all the shoes in this style use the same width sole and different width uppers.

Great shoe, but not made as well as your USA New Balance running shoes. But, you can't beat the price.

I use these as work shoes and I'm on my feet a lot. They are very comfortable for a classic.

Very decent shoe. Have bought it twice. Comfortable enough and my girlfriend doesn't complain about the style.

I wore a pair of New Balance M574 for about 4 years and was very satisfied with them. I bought these M373 because of the color and style. The M373 have a narrower footprint so they feel somewhat less stable than the M574s. Overall, though, this shoe has the same quality as the other and I am satisfied so far.

The insoles keep slipping out. I had to place a piece of double stick tape inside to keep them in place.

Zappos.com delivered the correct product at the price specified and faster than promised! Between my wife and myself we\'ve bought several pairs of shoes and they are batting 1000!

They are a bit narrow in medium width. I've never needed a shoe that was anything other than normal and even a size up these are tight. I felt like I was wearing a cartoon deer head at first due to the toe rubber looking like a nose. They are pretty comfortable and they are understated enough that you can wear them with lots of stuff. They are picking up dye transfer from my jeans like crazy and I got one defective pair with the back coming unglued. I like them well enough and this was my first Zappos purchase and they were AWESOME about the issues. Will buy again for sure, just not these shoes.

These are ok. They took a while to break in. They are not as comfortable as the 574s which I love. The only issue is that if you wear them everyday they will wear out quickly. But if you wear them casually they are great shoes.

These shoes have held up pretty well over a year of daily use, but the tread has worn down to the point of being almost completely slick. I am in agreement with some of the other raters in that they do have a somewhat cheap feeling to them.

These shoes are extremely comfortable for everyday wear and look good with almost any outfit. However, as noted in previous reviews, there is a significant drop in quality from typical New Balance shoes that is astounding. After about a year (compared to the three to four year life of most New Balances), the suede and nylon both started inexplicably tearing in places where should be little to no wear. Rather than purchase this shoe, I highly recommend looking at the New Balance 574 instead. They are similar in style, fit, and comfort, but are much higher quality.

Not a lot of support right out of the box, the inner lining sole started shifted and scooting out the back of my heel as I first wore them, so I took them out and got a Dr. Scholls pair of athletic soles and now I\'m quite happy with them. These are basically good looking retro shoes that wouldn\'t be suited for sport or heavy play.

My only complaint about these shoes is that they are really narrow at the toe. From a fit standpoint the shoe is stretchy, so it doesn't bother me. But from an appearance standpoint I just wasn't very happy.

The first pair I ordered developed a huge rip in the suede on the left heel. Zappos was great and sent me a replacement pair. The replacement pair was wonderful--I wore the heck out of them for a year and a half, walking almost everywhere. Because my replacement pair was starting to show lose traction after two winters, I bought a third pair. However, this new pair developed a rip in the EXACT same place as the first pair. I wondered if it was the way I was wearing them, but I had one pair that went without any rips for over 1.5 years. I've never seen this happen before in any other shoes I've owned. I also have a fantastic pair of NB running shoes that still hold up great after years of running. I would hesitate to order this style again as two out of three pairs have had the exact same poor construction.

Least durable shoes I've ever bought. I've never had shoes before that wore out and had to be replaced so quickly. First and last pair I'll ever buy online.

After wearing the shoe for only a few days, a tear developed along a seam near the toe. I previously owned 990 series NB shoes and have had no problems for years. As I don't run much anymore, I thought I would try this version for casual wear, as they are much less expensive. However, it is clear that they are much more cheaply made. Even then, I should be able to get more than a week's worth of wear out of them before they break down.

This is a great looking shoe that looks great with jeans and is quite comfortable. However, I've only been wearing these shoes lightly for the past three months and already one of the eyelets has turn along with some of the out grey material. It's disappointing because I normally associate this brand with such a high standard of quality, but they seems to be slipping.

After wearing these casually four times (no running or strenuous activity involved), the left shoe burst open at the outer toe box. The tear is about an inch long. I was thinking these shoes would be great after I broke them in, but I didn't think I'd have to literally break them to do that.

Disappointed. Replaced an almost identical pair of New Balance's that I loved with these. The craftsmanship inside the shoe is really sloppy. There's a stitching spot in only the right shoe that feels like there's a rock in your shoe. Stopped wearing them after a month.

Love the style of the shoe, but never got used to wearing these and ended up donating them. The shoe is quite narrow compared to other New Balance running shoes I've purchased in the past. Just walking around in it for 30 minutes would hurt my feet. I ended up getting similar styled Reeboks that were much better.

Very thin sole. I could feel everything I stepped on. There's a reason they're so cheap.

I am disappointed with these shoes based on the past experiences I have had with New Balances. These are not the typical Made in the USA high quality New Balances but rather they are pretty flimsy shoes made in China. They are really lightweight and comfortable, but they have absolutely no insole and even with extra padding in there, my feet still hurt. These are really the only pair of shoes I have ever owned in my life that have made the bottom of my feet hurt. Too bad though, because I like the style.
