I love the color on this jacket. I have not had to wear it out yet as it's still too cold but do plan to when spring arrives. It is lightweight and seems like it will definitely keep the rain off of you. The only con I have about this are the sleeve lengths. I am a petite woman (4'11") so I usually have issues with sleeve length on all The North Face products. I have had to take The North Face products I've bought in the past to a seamstress to have them fix the sleeve length for me.

Absolutely love this jacket! Replaced my Patagonia rain jacket with this one and I am definitely happy with my decision! Keeps me dry on rainy days and the jacket itself dries off quickly! Only major downside to this purchase is the purple is a much darker color than pictured, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

I bought the women's venture jacket to wear as an outer shell over the Denali jacket. It fits beautifully over the Denali jacket, but the zippers are not compatible to zip together . If they were compatible, I would give the jacket 5 stars. It will still work, and I love both jackets. These were my first The North Face purchases.
I purchased the XXL and it is a true fit in both jackets.

It's a little big on me but I'm a small person. Otherwise, great fit, beautiful color, stylish and the perfect rain jacket.

The coat was great and it fit perfectly. My girlfriend is about 5'2" and I got her an XS.
I was quite disappointed with the color however. I ordered the Oatmeal Heather color. The jacket is basically a cream color. Much lighter than I had thought. I really wish the pockets were fleece lined too because they aren't very comfortable or warm, but thats a small detail.

I got this for rainy football games. I have not go to try it out yet but I have tried it on. Fits well, lightweight. I think it will work great for cool rainy days. Blocks air out. I am excited to have this for rainy days and sitting through rainy football games for my son! I only rated this a 4 star because I hadn't got to use it in the rain yet

I purchased this product thinking it was heavier. When I pulled it out of the box and realized it was so light, I thought I would return it. But, it is surprisingly warm and wind resistant. I wore it in 40 ish weather and it was just fine. So, I am glad I kept it because it is a good fall/spring jacket that I could wear either to work or running errands.

I wasn't expecting something so thin and lightweight. I thought that the lightweightness made it seem like it wouldn't keep me warm, but it does!

I love this jacket! It is just what I wanted ; however, the color is not at all what I expected. I ordered the power blue but it came as a Carolina blue. Major let down. Other than that, I highly recommend this jacket!

I was torn between ordering a medium and a small in this jacket and ended u going with a medium and I couldn't be happier! I'm 5'6" and 135lbs and usually I'm right in between a medium and small. The meduim is great because I can cinch in the bottom if I don't have any under layers on but it's still big enough to wear a hoodie underneath if I want. the sleeve length is great and its super breathable while still being warm and water resistant.

I needed a light weight, rain resistant, jacket for a trip to Scandinavia in May. I like the sleek lines, under arm vents, and versatile looks of this jacket. I only wish that 3x came in more color options!

I was really excited when I ordered this. Really was wanting something with Kokomo green in it. Wish I would've realized it was a shell when I ordered it. I was wanting something with a lining so I exchanged it for the triclimate cinnabar. But this is a great jacket for travel or camping

This product is a very comfortable and great fit. It's perfect for rainy days and super lightweight, which is good for going out running or anything really. Product is durable.

Love the vibrant color. Bought it for rain wear while walking the dog. Kept me dry and warm with a sweater underneath.

They say three's a charm. I ordered and tried 2 other similar rain jackets from other manufacturers that were both too tight under the arms (I usually take a medium but I got a large in this for that reason and it's perfect over a fleece), they were both boxy, kind of junky, and I sounded like a walking potato chip bag in one of them. This one is juuuuuuust right. I have not tried it in the shower, and I haven't been in a total downpour, but in a steady, moderately heavy rain, it kept me dry. The jacket is not warm and not that breatheable, but it's roomy enough to wear over a fleece as mentioned. You might want to get a size up. The pit zips are great but - no mesh - that would have made for 5 stars. As for style, the raglan sleeves are flattering to just about anyone, rather than having set in sleeves that are too wide and make you look like a linebacker. Adjustable cuffs - nice - however - the sleeves are perfect for a gorilla, but for a human, you might have to roll them up. The zipper is covered with a velcro tab that keeps rain out and hits just right to secure my hat string tight so I have not lost my hat even in a stiff wind since this jacket arrived. A big plus is the interior pocket. I would also have given 5 stars if the pocket had a zipper for extra security, but it's pretty deep so you'd have to be playing Twister or something to lose your keys. I got the lighter grey-blue color and it's beautiful. One note to all designers of women's sports outerwear. Please. PLEASE - try to include one or two nice muted colors in the lines instead of obnoxiously bright fuchsia or neon chartreuse. Please? Maybe a nice taupe or a pale olive or something for those of us who don't want to look like a traffic cone. This one is a beautiful muted Wedgewood-ish blue, but you just couldn't resist adding the neon orange trim. It's OK, I get why you did it. Overall, it's the jacket I have been looking for. Pretty darned good rain jacket for the price. Definitely recommend.

I'm 5'3, weigh 145 lb, so I tried on at the store. Decided on the larger size -XL - to be able to use the jacket all seasons, no matter what I wear underneath. This gives me xtra length - which doesn't matter, but the negative tradeoff is xtra-long sleeves.
Pros: A winning feature for me is the rather tiny "bill" at top front of the hood - I hate rain on my glasses, or cut-off peripheral vision. Sneaky little hood adjustment (for size) at the back is another nice feature. The jacket is incredibly lightweight and very rain resistant. Hoping the stiffness will ease with age and wear. I wasn't crazy about the purple as shown on-line, but it's fairly dark, edging towards navy & I like it more than I expected.
The zippers under the arms are fabulous for letting out underarm heat/humidity. An over-lapping velcro-secured panel protects the front zipper.
I use pockets instead of a purse. The zip up inseam pockets are deep - good! There are big inside pockets on both sides, elastic-topped mesh. I'm glad to have them, (but still I long to put my wallet in one of those convenient little extra zippered lapel pockets frequently found on men's jackets.)
Cons: The sleeves are waaaay too long, about 4 inches (and the velcro adjusters are at the very bottom edge, so sleeves are impossible to shorten except by turning back- not great in the rain).
Which brings me to the color of the lining - blinding white. Purple with aqua trim is OK, but why not use trim color for the lining? Or lining color for the trim? The white strip at the turned-back sleeve bottom is unattractive, and with the hood thrown back, and zipper slightly lowered, the bright white makes an unattractive 4 color melange at the neck with just about every top I own.
I'm still ambivalent. I shopped in stores and on-line for several months, and the billed hood, ultra-light weight, and adequate pockets, at my price-point, tipped the scales. I'd recommend it, but also recommend -shop early for choice.

I am normally size XL but when i received this jacket it was a bit small making me return it for the next size up. The purple color was a bit more darker than the pictures shows, so i ended up getting the grey color which i love. Its super comfortable and light weight, you can easily wear an extra layer underneath. Really recommend this product!
