North Face's Women's Venture Jacket - This is an excellent jacket. It's well made, true to size, and does everything it's supposed to. Its construction and design makes it a terrific foul weather jacket, and is in its own element in the rain. The hood extends past your facial area, truly protecting you. The rain runs right off this jacket, unlike others which soak up the water. This jacket breathes also, so one doesn't feel like they just walked out of a steam bath when wearing it in warmer weather. Using this jacket as an outside layer, it's wonderful for layering during colder weather. Yes, The North Face brand demands a little more money, but their products are well worth it. Zappos carries a wide selection of their products and the prices are very good. Considering Zappos' customer satisfaction, delivery, and return policies, you couldn't do better.

North Face is a high quality product - I ordered the women's North Face Venture jacket. It is lightweight and very comfortable. A great feature of the jacket is that it is waterproof. Just a few days after I received it, we had a rainstorm here and it kept me perfectly dry. It has a great hood that comes down a little over your forehead, which is great at keeping your hair and head dry. I bought mine in the odyssey pink color (more of a burgundy in color). North Face makes a very high quality product. I like it so much that I bought my husband and daughter the jacket also.

Color and quality awesome - I bought this for my daughter and she is extremely happy with it. You know pictures just don't do anything for such a great product.

I bought two of these jackets for my daughters who attend college in the Pacific Northwest. They claim it keeps them dry when they are walking to classes on rainy days. It has also kept them dry at a rainy college football game!

Not what I had expected, it has no lining inside. It works out great to wear over heavy sweaters in the fall and spring.

Very nice lightweight rain coat. If it's super humid it's not as breathable as I would like, but I suppose that's impossible since the point is to keep moisture out.

This is really just a shell, very thin and lightweight, don't mistake it for a jacket. It was purchased for my daughter and she likes it, so I guess that's what matters. The color is pretty.

Great jacket -- but it is LIGHTWEIGHT !!! This jacket is exactly what I was looking for. I knew it was going to be lightweight, but it has no warmth lining whatsoever. It fits me great, love the length. I have worn it a few times already and it really does keep you very dry. The hood is extra roomy to pull over your head and will really keep you dry as well.

Nicely made; hits about top- to mid-thigh. Full coverage hood. Zipper, snap button, and velcro. Sleeves long enough. Cinches in all the right places. But it's a shell and only a shell. Very thin. Like wearing a trash bag. Sure, it'll keep you dry from the rain, but only good for warm weather (or layered) as it's not lined at all. And if the weather's too warm, you'll probably end up sweating and the jacket will end up stuck to your skin and you'll be wet anyway. A trash bag for this price? Definitely returned it. Will probably get the Resolve Jacket instead.

Nice looking but... I wanted to like this jacket but the sleeves are way too long and the width is very big for an XS. I had purchased this in the brownie brown color and loved the color. Unfortunately, the fit was not to my liking. As far as portability of this jacket, it is very lightweight to carry around and stows perfectly away in its own left pocket. In the end, I had to return the jacket. I will look for another style in The North Face brand since their quality is among the best out there.

Bright yellow - I bought this coat in the yellow thinking it would be a pale soft yellow, it turns out to be quite bright yellow. It's a lot thinner than I thought it would be, it's just your average rain coat. I bought an extra small and it's a little too big on me. I don't know if it's supposed to be roomy or not.

As someone who has a long commute every day that includes walking several miles, I desperately needed a jacket that would keep me dry during storms. Initially, this one seemed perfect and was quite waterproof the first time I wore it in heavy rain; however, after the second storm I wore it in (walking in the rain for over 30 minutes) the jacket soaked right through, particularly in the spots where my backpack straps rub. It is a nice jacket otherwise but the only reason I got it was I need something truly waterproof! I am very disappointed, especially because all the other reviews were so positive.

This jacket is thinner than I expected so the only reason I kept it was because I was looking for something for the rain. Don't expect it to keep you warm at all just because it's North Face. I am 5'3 at 125lbs and wear a small in all North Face jackets.

No good! :( Just moved to Florence, Italy and decided on this jacket to keep me dry in the rainy winter months. Seemed like the perfect jacket... I carry a heavy load of laptop and technical nerd gear throughout the city so this appealed to me because it is lightweight and thought it would be easy to layer with and toss in my bag without being cumbersome. Those things it is, but I am writing this review only about the fit. I am 5'7, 105 lbs with go-go gadget-length (very long, for those of you who don't know what that means!) arms.. This jacket was short on me, boxy and wide in the body and about four inches too short on the arms. :( It’s super cute and plain and simple looking though so I am sad it didn’t work out! The hood was also ridiculously tiny on me, didn’t even cover my head and I have a pretty small head!

Bought this jacket in Cosmic Blue in Med and it fit perfectly (I'm a size 6, 5.6'). I've run with it three times so far—two in the snow. It is just a shell, but with layers it's perfect for even cold weather. I like using the inside pocket for my cell phone/music player. The hood also fits really well. Other options I have tried have hoods that blow off easily. The only downside, for me, is that it has no reflectors for night running. Great jacket. I would buy it again.

I absolutely love this jacket! I've been looking to jackets similar to it, but I couldn't find a good one. The price was kind of high for me, but on sale? I couldn't pass up the offer. This jacket is really durable and pretty light. It's perfect for those days when you want to take a morning jog and it's still a little cold. It wont keep you warm in the middle of the night, but on those windy days it blocks the wind pretty well. I'm waiting for use it in the rain! Looks like a really good rain coat!

This jacket is beautiful! I wore this while I was in vacation in London. It was perfect. Very light, very rain-proof. It was everything I expected and more. Love it!

I love this jacket. It is lightweight, easy to fold and stuff into a bag, but it keeps me nice and dry. Very convenient to keep tucked in a gym bag or car.

I am in love with this jacket, I have been wanting a North Face jacket for so long and now that I have one I would never give it back! I was a little worried that it wasn't the one I was looking for because in the picture the sides stick out, but there are strings that you can draw in to make it fit you better. Love it! I would definitely buy it again.

Absolutely love this coat. So light and easy to carry for when it is needed. Zappos was well stocked with all the colors and sizes! Zappos was so easy to work with through the entire process!
