This is my 4th pair of Keen Whisper. Nothing is wrong with the first three - I just wanted them in a fun color! Love these shoes!!!

I felt like they fit pretty true to size. Great for traveling , very lightweight. Easy to get on and off.

Keens are my go-to for outdoor shoes. I have a very narrow, flat foot and these tighten enough to hold my foot snug and secure. The foot bed is very comfortable and giving; it's not hard at all. These will be my favorite outdoor, summertime shoe.

These worked great for me on Holiday in Costa Rico. Did a day hike up volcano were I traversed very wet mud, volcanic rock and loose gravel. They felt great with hardly any break-in time and got me back down the trail.

Very happy with these sandals. Other reviewers had said these shoes felt a bit tight. Since I have a bunion on one foot, I ordered a half size larger than usual. They fit great from the minute I put them on.

I have an earlier generation of this style which was purchased about five or so years back. They have been my go-to sandal for the beaches and the cobbles of towns. Since I have a flexible flat foot I need some support and stability and the style and structure has been right for me. I ordered this by mistake as they are the same style as what I have, just in a different color, tried them on anyway. This new generation is not as wide in the front of the shoe box as my old reliable. I will be trying them out while in the house to see if they will work for me. If you order and they fit, keep them, as they wear like the Dickens.

TRACTION/ANKLE BRACE/BUNION: I bought these for hiking in the rain forest and cloud forest. I give them 5 stars because they do everything they say they will do. However, I wish I would have paid a bit more to get one of the other Keen models that offers "multi-directional lugs featuring razor siping for maximum traction." There were times when I was walking on a slippery surface and I wished that these had more traction. My bad for not paying closer attention to the differences in the soles. I have a BUNION - these shoes give enough that I had no problem with the bunion. I wear an ANKLE BRACE on one foot - these adjust well enough to accommodate the brace. There is no break in period. I got no blisters - nothing even close to a blister - and we hiked a lot! The zip line company accepted these as closed toe, but you might call first to check. They dried very quickly. No problems with odors. A really great choice for wet weather. Now that we are back in Texas I will still use them for hiking - but doubtful we'll see that much rain anytime soon.

My daughter wears a 9-9.5 in ballet flats or sandals and needs a 10 in Keens. She has a narrower foot than average and this style, the Whisper, isn't as klunkily wide as the classic Newport. Fits her perfectly! (note: the Keen CMX is even better for a really narrow foot but hers has changed as she has grown in the last year and that style was too narrow this year)

Great out of the box comfort! This is my second pair and I completely love this shoe. They are actually more comfortable than being barefoot! I have a very weak left foot/ankle/leg following a back injury, and my feet feel very well supported in these shoes. Highly recommend!

For reference, I wear 7 1/2 in Asics, Brooks and New Balance running shoes. Keene Whisper 7 1/2 was 1/2 size too big. I returned for a size 7. Day one I thought they might be too small. Day 2 they were fine. The fabric strips really do stretch a little bit. These aren't for running but they're comfortable enough to walk in all day. The "sterling blue" is a very pretty pale blue just like advertised.

These shoes were a hit right out of the box! i purchased a half size larger per reviews and wore them on vacation without having to break them in. I wore them to the beach, crawling around on some rocks, and on a very, very rocky whale watching tour. I didn't have any issues with stability or slipping. I think these will be great for walking on trails and kayaking. But don't forget sunblock to avoid polka dot toes. :)

Because of all the prior reviews that said to order a half size larger, I did. Normally an 8 1/2, I ordered a 9. They were way too big! Re-ordered in 8 1/2, and although there was still room I kept them. These are comfortable and light -- exactly what I wanted.

I had bunion surgery on both feet but am planning to keep wearing comfort shoes. These have a more updated summery look, I think. A little like flip flops? I think I'll have to spray my feet with sun lotion though to keep from getting a strange tan.

Love this shoe. I am a true 9.5. I ordered the 9.5 and the 10 and the 9.5 fits perfectly. I like it so much that I have placed an order for another pair in a different color. I have Morton's Toe, bunions, and flat feet. I also prefer to wear dresses and skirts while I vacation and this shoe doesn't look clunky at all and I have clodhopper feet! I am real sensitive about my ugly feet and I will never wear a shoe that emphasizes my wonky feet and this shoe, I swear, covers up the foot nicely without clunkiness. Maybe it is the subtle Brindle/orchid color that deemphasizes my big feet. I am hopeful that the grey/ink blue will do the same. Thank you Zappos for your generous return policy. My faulty feet make shoe purchases very difficult and your return policy helps me out considerably.

A lot of the reviewers suggested ordering a size up; however, I have more than enough space with my usual size. Comfortable out of the box, easily adjustable, very light weight.

Bought these for a friend as a thank you gift. I have the same style and love them. They are the perfect mix of a sandal and a sneaker. I run between 10.5 and 11, bought 10.5 fit great. She is between 7.5 and 8 and 7.5 fit. I like to walk and these provide excellent comfort and support.

This shoe was so comfortable, but for me one problem. My little toenail sticks out between straps & sometimes catches as I walk. Sadly I need to return. The Bossa Nova color is better than I expected. I looks fairly bright on the website, but is actually more of a dull red clay.

I cannot express how much I love these shoes. My mom got me my first pair five years ago (I was in my late 20's) and I was a little apprehensive because frankly, I wasn't sure about the style. But the moment I put them on I was in love. So comfortable. I walk a lot, go hiking on occasion and am always taking my toddler to the park or zoo. These are my first choice every time. Best part is, on an insanely hot day, you don't need socks. I'm a fan of socks, just not in the summer. It's basically a breathable sneaker. I replaced my first pair with this pair because I was tired of the color. Yeah, the shoe was perfectly fine after five years of hard use, I was just bored. I have even used this shoe walking thru creek beds, they work fantastic in and out of water. I have taken these to Disneyland on many occasions after a full day of walking my feet feel great. I tried clearwater sandal recently, which is another style from keen. I really really liked the look of those but the soles were too thin for me, felt like I was wearing flats and they felt uncomfortable, which defeated the purpose. So I went back to the whisper style. I got my husband a pair of newports, he didn't want them, thought they were ugly. I said- sorry, cause the moment you try them on you're gonna love them. Yeah, now he's hooked. Getting a pair for my toddler soon. Keen is amazing. I don't think I'll ever stop buying these.

This is my go-to sandal in the summer. They are so comfortable that I can walk for hours at a time without a second thought. In fact, I wore them while hiking through Rocky Mountain National Park when I was traveling to Colorado and realized I forgot to pack my hiking boots. With the exception of lacking ankle support (obviously), my feet never really missed the boots. The adjustable lace also keeps your foot secure so it doesn't slip around. I also love the anti-odor technology since most sandals start to stink after wearing them day in and day out...not these! After 5 years with my first pair, they were starting to look a little dingy and worn so I'm finally ordering my second. Highly recommend these!

This Keen was very comfortable right out if the box. I walked around New York City and the US Open Tennis tournament and my feet felt great. I have been having some trouble with soreness after foot surgery earlier in the year and these Keens were better for my foot than wearing a sneaker. I have a narrow foot and I liked that these were narrower and less clunky than my other pair of Keens.

I was searching for a shoe with arch support to wear kayaking and around water. This model is so good looking I can wear it as a sandal. Would like to wear it daily, but the arch support, though good, doesn't provide enough support for my falling arches.

What at great shoe. I needed something with support for walking but found sneakers to be too hot. These were the perfect solution.

They are very comfortable and durable. I have very sensitive feet. Most fabrics hurt my skin but these are very soft and comfortable. They also look nice with shorts, jeans and capris. The color i got is also very neutral and goes with all outfits.

I love Keens! I bought this pair to replace a pair I have had for 2 years which are starting to get worn (exact same style as before). I originally bought the same size that I ordered 2 years ago, but had to send them back and get a half size larger. So if you have worn Keens before, don't assume that the sizing is still the same! Great, comfortable shoe that I wear every day in the summer.
