I love Keens! These are super comfortable. They are a little snug but they are really lightweight and can be worn for hours.

Great outdoor sandals, but be sure to buy them snug enough if you plan to hike up any hills. The strap above the heel stretches backward when going uphill, and your foot slides back out of the footbed. This is uncomfortable and causes blisters.This may have been more of a problem for me because of my narrow feet, I returned for 1/2 a size smaller, and they are much better! Zappos was wonderful about the exchange.

Absolutely loved these for our recent vacation to Wyoming. Tromped through the trails, streams, etc without even a hint of a blister. Unfortunately, they still end up with the infamous "Keens Stink".

Very comfortable, even with my narrow feet. Stays on in the water. Would recommend for water sports or very casual days. Just wish someone would make sport shoes for those of us with narrow feet!

The Keens are not attractive shoes, but I really needed this type of shoe so I ordered the whisper as they are supposed to be the most narrow style in the Keen line. They are about average width, they do have an adjustable cord which helps, but they are still not narrow enough. The instep isn't quite high enough for my foot so my feet don't slide forward as much as they should leaving a gap at the toe. All that said, they are comfortable. I just wish outdoor type shoe companies would make some narrow shoes - athletic and outdoor types have narrow feet, too.

Good summer active sandal - I got these for the beach and riding my bike. I like the toe protection. This is my 3rd pair of Keen shoes and I've learned to order a half-size larger than my usual shoe size. These feel slightly longer than my other Keens and have plenty of extra toe space but the next size down would probably be too short. I like the ability to adjust/tighten the fit with the elastic cord (what if the cord breaks?). Overall, I like them so far but haven't put them to a real beach test yet.

I was completely disappointed because I have worn the Keen Whisper for many years. My old ones have worn out and I wanted these to replace them. I could not even get them on my feet! The cut now goes much higher up the arch s that it is over the bone and very uncomfortable. In addition, the amount of stretch in the side fabric, which you need to get the shoe on over your arch bone, is almost nonexistent. These shoes in the current style are unwearable for me. I am so sorry that I won't be able to get replacements. Keen--PLEASE go back to your original Whisper style!!! Also the length feels shorter and my toes hit the hard rubber of the inside toe box.

I have bought two pairs of the Newport H2 and have absolutely loved them and worn each pair completely out. I wanted a slimmer and cuter version of an outdoor water shoe so I bought these. They were very cute and I followed the “half a size up” general rule and while they “fit” the toe box area left my pinkie toe in a state of existential confusion- will it tuck under the strap? Will it stick out? It depends! Each step is a new surprise for that toe. If it was a super cute dress shoe I could deal with that for an hour or two- but for an outdoor shoe I need to forget I’m even wearing them. Also, I don’t think I have unusual shaped feet. I’m not putting a picture here because you’ll have to pay for that. But as someone whose feet typically fits into most shoes (not too wide, not narrow, no “outlier” toes) this shoe definitely had a weird strap placement. Back to the Newport H2, which have never caused me discomfort and I’ve worn them through water and sand and all sorts of terrain!

Too wide for narrow feet. Arch support is good however. Heel fit fine, toes had way too much room to feel stable.

These are beautiful Keen sandals -- well made as usual. However, if you have hammer toes, these sandals are not for you. They rub against the toes, making them very uncomfortable. The Keen Newport H2 is a much better choice for those with hammer toes and bunions. Somehow the design of the Newport accommodates these issues in a way the Whisper unfortunately does not.

Just a different shoe than the Size 11 Whispers from a couple of years ago. The former shoe fit well and has been one of my favorite walking shoes. Now there is no good roll to the shoe and they actually made my feet feel tired! The cord apparatus is hard to maneuver.

I would have given these sandals a higher rating but they have little stability, which is why I wanted Keen sandals.

These were uncomfortable. Don’t exactly recall why. Was evident quickly. No arch support.

Unfortunately, the shoe is high on the outside heel, and hit just under my ankle bone, very painfully. I'm going to try Clearwater style.

There are a great shoe, but the foot bed on my pair is hard. My sis-in-law bought a pair at a store in town, and her foot bed was soft and comfortable. Maybe the newer shoes have a better foot bed.

I've worn these sandals for years, updating as each pair wore out. They've been my summer go to. This year something has changed in the fit. I've ordered the Whisper sandal three times, thinking it was just that particular sandal, but have had the same issue of serious rubbing under one of my ankle bones each time, but on different sides. I've had to return all three pairs. Perhaps my feet are morphing. Really sad about this and am now looking for alternatives.

Length was fine but very narrow and constricting for my high arches.

Haven't purchased Keen's for a while, so tried Whisper. Fit is weird. I did think the yoke came up a bit high. I am average/narrow feet and the shoes felt tight, and I bought a full size up because I like my shoes loose, esp. this type which is easy to keep on. Anyway, felt like too much material covering the foot. Doesn't feel relaxed and something I would want to wear all day. I'm sure it would loosen, but did not want to take a chance. Little to no arch support. I did not like the color, I was hoping for a more natural brown, it's kind of dark.

The reviews on this are mixed, but definitely put me down among those here who were surprised to discover how slippery these are on smooth surfaces (tile floors, wet concrete, mossy rocks etc). Your mileage may vary, but I can skate across my dry kitchen floor in these & that's... not a good thing. As long as I stay clear of certain hazardous conditions, they're fine, but they were a replacement for a similar shoe that did not have the issue with slippy surfaces & was made by another brand which no longer makes them, unfortunately. So I'll have to keep looking.

Length is OK but this style of Keen is too narrow felt scratchy. i also ordered the Venice H2 which fit much better.

I love my Keen flip flops but these rubbed in all the wrong places: side of the foot, top of the foot under the elastic. Even the top of my big toe hit the rubber on the front of the shoe. The search continues...

Bring back the original Keen footbed. This new model is stiff and doesn't provide a cushioning like the previous models several years ago. Style is nice and sleek and soles seem rugged enough for hiking but must return unfortunately.

I wanted very badly to like these shoes. They fit well and felt good on my feet with the exception of the medial arch. In fact, the lateral foot felt very well supported. Since my primary use for the shoes is hiking wooded, rocky trails, medial arch support is important and my foot didn't even come in contact with the medial arch of the shoe.
