Very comfortable - right out of the box. No break in period need with the Whisper. Bought these for hiking at the Grand Canyon this summer and I think they will be perfect. Very pleased with my first pair of Keens.

LOVE these! I have a LOT of foot/ankle problems, plus ugly toes. These are cute, kind of sexy, and they HIDE MY TOES!!! But most important, they are incredibly comfortable. I can wear these without pain ALL DAY which is a first for me when it comes to sandals. (I have maybe 30 pairs of shoes, and only one pair I can wear all day, so this is a big deal.) These look great with jeans, leggings or "capris" ("pedal pushers"). I'm sorry it took me till middle age to realize that for people with foot problems, cheap shoes are a false economy. These are very well made and I expect them to hold up really well. (I could have bought three or four pairs of cheap sandals for the same price and they would have lasted forever because they would never find their way onto my feet.) I have the black ones. TRY them!! ;oD

Wearing house slippers all day long -
This is my second pair of Keen Whispers...they are so comfortable it's like wearing house slippers. We travel a lot and they are very easy to get off & on at security. Living in Phoenix my shoes get sweaty but it's so easy to just throw these Keen's in the washing machine. Great shoe. Runs a little small.

Finally a flexible sport shoe -
The Whisper is really comfortable, especially the strap around the heel...no need for a breaking in period. This shoe stays on, is light weight and again flexible! The color is true to the website and sizing information was accurate. The toe guard is what I wanted as I walk a large dog and may be pulled into any type of terrain, now I don't worry about injuries. Great shoe all around.

This sandal is the most comfortable and lightweight sandal I have ever worn. My pair of Keen Newport H2 were very heavy and I needed to break them in. My first time I wore them for over 8 hours at work.

Super Comfortable All Purpose Sandal -
This shoe meets my needs for a casual sandal to wear dog walking, traveling, and to work. I tried other Keens and thought they were a little too rugged looking for non-sporting wear, but these are fine. The fabric is stretchy and accommodates a wide foot, so these probably would be too big for a narrow foot. I went up half a size based on other Keen reviews and this worked for me.

Love this sandal -
I have another pair of Keen's so thought I'd try the sandal. As comfortable as a slipper right out of the box but with good support. I usually wear an 8.5 but got the 9 from previous experience with Keen. We're going to Europe this summer and they will definitely be my touring shoes. Zappos' customer support is outstanding--you rock!!

This sandal got me hooked on Keens. Since I first purchased these shoes, I have bought 3 more pairs of Keens. No break in period, very comfortable. I normally wear a size 8 1/2. After reading the reviews, I ordered a size larger and they fit fine.

Like a slipper -
I have many pair of Keens, and these are by far the most comfortable. They are adjustable on every part of the foot, snug but not constricting in any way. Even the heel strap can be tightened.They also fit around my bunion, as well as hiding it. They are very flexible, not stiff at first as with most other Keens, and are very light as well. The soles don't look like they would be very grippy, but I tried them on some big boulders and grip almost like a mountain shoe. Have worn them on short 2-3 hour hikes with no blisters or sore spots. I hope Keen expands with this lighter, sleek design. I normally take a size 9 in the Keen shoes and a 8 1/2 in sandals and the Whisper is no exception.

I am so happy with these shoes. They're great for work (massage therapist) since they're closed-toe, and they're also great for tai chi. Not to mention walking around! I have a narrow heel with wider toes, and they fit well. The Whisper is more attractive than my other Keens.

Almost as good as my keen presidios -
I bought a pair of presidios six months ago and have hardly worn any other shoes since. I was going to Florida for vacation and needed a sandal in a hurry so turned to keen. The foot bed is a close second to the presidio although not quite as comfortable. There is some minor pushing and rubbing against my heels and toes, but nothing serious or even distracting. I tried the Newports at the same time and loved the look (narrower overall) but the foot bed was much less supportive and I missed the wide toe box. Keens are incredible.

This shoe is very light and comfortable. I wear 8 1/2 to 9 and nine was perfect. I like that the toe cap at the end is a little more low profile than some other keens. I wore them a couple of days around the house and they were broken in.

I was looking to replace my Keen Newports with a Keen sandal that is a little more urban and less "clunky" looking, and the Whisper fits the bill. The sandal is really lightweight and slimmer cut (kind of like how a running shoe is cut more aerodynamically than a walking shoe), so I find it a lot more comfortable than my Newports. I have wide feet, but the Whispers still fit great, despite the more streamlined look. Great shoe and definitely a keeper!

I have many pairs of Keen sandals, but these are the first Whispers that I've had. I LOVE them more than my others, and I love them all. I have the Retro, and the Newport, but these Whispers are by far much more comfortable, if that's possible. Maybe because they are lighter weight? However, I have a somewhat narrow foot, and I'm not so sure these would fit a wider foot. They fit my feet perfectly with not much room to spare. I wear a women's 8, and I ordered an 8, and they fit great!

I have worn Keene Whispers for years. This is my 5th pair of them. It seems like the top area isn’t as comfortable as they were previously, perhaps my foot has changed but feel the shoe has also.

I like these a lot. I don't feel like they are super supportive, but I like the wide toe box and think they are fun! I got these so I can use them with water aerobics and when I go kayaking. I haven't used them yet, but so far when I've worn them around the house, I'm pleased with them.

I am looking for a pair of closed toe sandals to gently hike in the SW national parks. These fit fine... and I have hard feet to fit. But the sandal has a bumpy ridged insole. After walking around the house for five minutes, my toes went numb and my heels were sore. Not sure why the bumps are throughout the insole or why they are so pronounced and hard. I really thought they were a winner when I first tried them on... but I discovered that I couldn't wear them for even five minutes without the bottoms of my feet hurting.
