Really cute, really appropriate for walking in and out of water, really one half size too small and too narrow and not adjustable enough to compensate! Sorry.

I had purchased a pair of Keen Owyhee shoes last summer and loved them. when the Keen Whispers went on sale I decided to order a pair. I found my regular size 9 to be way too long for my foot but the width was okay. Other than the length the Whispers are fine but will wait for the Keen Owyhee's to come on sale again.

Before ordering the Whisper, I read the reviews about ordering up. I totally disagree with this advice. Am now having to return the size 8. Have worn Keen sandals, shoes, and boots for years and have always found true to my size 7.5. I should of stuck with my first instinct. Am crossing my fingers the reorder will arrive before I leave on my trip south.

It's my second pair so they have to be good. Comfortable, lightweight, reasonable support. Nice alternative on warm days when you need something a little more than a flip flop.

First, I wear a size 10 and in all Keens have had to order a 10.5. That fits perfectly. In closed Keens, the 10.5 is too short and I have to order 11's frequently and even then the toe box feels like my toes are bumping up against it. Maybe it's just the hard surface I'm feeling but I always wind up returning them. However, this time, I am looking for waterproof trail/woods/dirt road sandals. I have an old pair of Keen Newports that serve this purpose well except my pinky toe always pops out between the straps so I thought I'd try another style. I don't do serious hiking, but do go for long walks in woods on rocks and dirt trails with occasional uphills that require some traction, wading in lakes and streams with rock beds. I really wanted these. I put them on and they felt great. Lightweight, snug enough, enough arch support for my flat feet. But my left pinky toe kept slipping out between the straps. I tried to make it work, but it kept happening within 5 minutes of walking around the house. I ordered Nevadas and another pair of Newports. Same with the Newports and the Nevada's strap near the arch rubbed my foot too much. A potential blister spot. So back they all went. Hope this helps someone else. If your pinky toe is longer, these should do the trick.

Very comfortable, but NO ARCH SUPPORT. The inner bottom of these sandals are almost flat -- my moderate arch did not even touch the sole. Too bad. Had to return.

I bought these shoes to wear for kayaking and hiking this summer. They did feel a bit small for me and maybe I should have gone up a half a size but the 7.5 works for me. I have tried different Keens and some I need a 7.5 and other an 8. I like the ability to tighten the heel and upper shoe with the same cording. The many colors available is also a plus!

I am looking for shoes that support my high arch. I usually wear Tevas, but the sole bed of Tevas have tiny ridges that actually bother my feet after awhile, so I was looking for another brand. Keen came up in my research, and these looked similar to what I was searching for. Wow - such a comfy shoe, and they looked great on. I was so happy! But no arch support. Zero, zilch, nada. I was heartbroken but had to return them. This is the 2nd Keen I've tried, and I'm now giving up.

I always order Keens a 1/2 size bigger, and the shoe fit fine. This design is not as bulky as ones I have purchased in the past, which I really like. my food is not wide so this shoe fits very nicely.

Love these shoes! Lightweight, cool, and easy to wear in summer. Great for walking. Super comfortable. I already want another pair in a different color!

I bought these after having leather Keen open-toes sandals for years but they got old, but I loved them. These are quite different though - closed toes, lighter, rubber sole. They are fine, but seem to me little on the pricey side and what quite surprised me they are very slippery on wet rocks which I would not expect from a hiking brand like Keen. Giving 4* and I miss my old ones.

As a bicycle tour guide, Keen Newport sandals are part of my uniform. I bought this model for a vacation that involved a lot of walking & biking. They were comfortable day after day after day. I like that they are less bulky than the Newports & don't have the ridge behind the toe. These have the perfect amount of toe coverage -- enough to protect, the increased toe coverage on the Newports tends to trip me when I run. The size 11 fits my AAA foot well. The only drawback is the lack of arch support. I'm very happy to add these to my new summer uniform.

I like the look and feel of these shoes. I seem to get less debris inside the shoes than in my last pair owing to the different design. The one thing I don't like is that they don't just slide on and off easily. I was hoping to find a pair of shoes that I could quickly don to go out and walk the dog and come back. My other Keen sandals fit the bill. These, because they come up a little higher on the ankle, leave me hopping around in the hallway, struggling to find the loop at the back to pull them onto my feet. They're good, but not as convenient to slip on as other Keen styles.

I have a very narrow heel, and shallow foot so most shoes do not fit. This one does! The bindings that cross the top of the foot are a little stiff...I am breaking them in, my foot and heel fit perfectly and the adjustable cord gives me options for loosening and tightening. They are lightweight and balanced well.

I love them! I had a similar pair for many years and finally wore through the soles. These have a good fit for me, snug and supportive around the arch of my foot but plenty of room in the toe. Follow the size guide.

I have mixed feelings about these shoes. I tried a 6 on in the store, but ordered it online because it was cheaper. When I got the 6, it was too small so had to re-order a size 6.5. When I received the 6.5, the webbing on one foot was wider than the other foot so I had my little toe sticking out on one shoe, but not the other. So, had to re-order another pair and return the first 2 pairs. It was slightly more even so I ended up keeping the 3rd pair. My husband has these shoes and loves them, so I thought it'd be nice to have a pair for myself for outdoor water activities. I've worn them a couple times and like them so far, but was just annoyed that I had to order 3 pairs to get 1 pair to fit.

After reading reviews, I ordered both my normal size (7M) and a half size bigger (7.5M). My regular size was plenty big, I am not sure why so many people advise to size up. I have hesitated to buy Keen sandals for myself in the past (I buy them for my kiddos) because they always look so bulky. The whispers are definitely more streamlined and airy, yet still very comfortable. I am hoping they will be my go-to shoe for spring and summer for bike rides, going to parks, playgrounds, fairs, etc.

I bought these sandals to use on a trip to Costa Rica where there would be many water-related activities. I found the fit was true to size, and they were comfortable in a range of activities - both around town, on the beach, and on hiking trails. My only complaint is that the rubber outsoles were not as slip-resistant as I would have hoped; I had a couple unexpected small sips in wet conditions. Otherwise, these are great sandals.

These sandals are feather light and have good tread on the bottom. They felt a little tight across the top of my foot at first, but I loosened up the strap and walked around in them for a couple of hours and they feel fine now.

Comfortable with good support. The color appears to be light grey with purple but it turned out to be beige & purple, not as attractive. I kept it because of its comfort.

Bought the shoe for a trip to Costa Rica for light hiking and water activities. I thought I could get more wear out of them except I found that they make my feet sweaty. They get too hot for casual wear. And they got fairly stinky in the humid weather. However, they do have good traction and are very versatile for water and mud etc.

These shoes are very comfortable and sturdy. Great for walking. I usually wear a size 9, but followed the advice of other reviewers and ordered a size 9.5, which was just right.

Love Keens. This model fits more closely than others I've had but that's okay. It's still a Keen at a great price!

I've been unable to wear Keens in the past because my feet are very narrow. I can actually pull these tight enough to fit! I bought them for a trip that requires water landings from a boat. The trip isn't until the spring but I wanted to break them in while the weather was still warm. They are reasonably comfortable though not as comfortable as sandals with bare feet. But they are fun and cute to wear around.
