Based on other reviews, I first ordered a half-size up and had to return them because they were too large. My true size fit perfectly. They are comfortable and well-made, but they are NOT waterproof. I wore mine on a jet ski, and they remained uncomfortably soaked for the rest of the day. Overall good sandal as long as you don't need waterproof.

These shoes are comfortable, fit well and the color is vibrant. I usually wear a 7½ or 8, so I opted for the 8 and they fit perfectly. I have only one complaint. They are hot! I wanted something comfortable to wear for summer outings besides tennis shoes. These are not cool and airy like I expect sandals to be. I think it may be the enclosed toe, I am not sure, but my feet felt hot and sweaty. Perhaps when I wear tennis shoes because I am wearing socks my feet do not feel sweaty, but they sure did in these. I wish someone had stated that in the reviews that I read before buying them.

My teenager daughter asked me to get these for her for our family trip to Hawaii. She hiked for miles, climbed over lava flows, and wore them into the ocean. No break in time required, no rubbing anywhere on her hard to fit feet. She has somewhat narrow and very flat feet, and these fit her. These were definitely function over form. She didn't think they were all that cute, but comfort was king.

I have a narrow foot with slight bunions on both feet and this style was more snug than I liked. It also had less arch support in the sole than the Newport and Venice styles. I've decided to return them and go with the Keen Venice H2 that's slightly wider and more supportive.

These are nice shoes. They took a while to break in. I bought Teva Tirra sandals in the same order which were much more comfortable from the start and did not need to be broken in. Once broken in, however, very comfortable and will stand up to a long walk. They do not breath as well as you would expect with the slits. I need to wear socks with them.

I was looking for some comfortable, supportive sandals to wear on vacation. To me, style was far less important than comfort but, if style was important to you, I'd pass on these. As far as comfort goes, the uppers were soft and didn't seem like they'd rub while wearing them and the soles were thick enough to protect my feet from hard ground. Unfortunately, however, they don't have enough arch support so back they go.

These shoes were very comfortable at first, good arch support. However, after wearing them around the house for a 1/2 hour I noticed that the textured insole was irritating. Usually do well with Keens; but these must go back.

I purchased the same style a couple of years ago. The fit is a bit wider now and more "rugged" looking. I still like the adjustment for the heal but only wear it for outdoor activities rather than casual as I did with my other pair.

I love Keen Sandals. These are no exception except: I purchase a pair and within 5 minutes of putting them on, the stitching on the side near the back (just in front of the little support strap in the rear that you see in the picture) started to tear out. I called Zappos and their customer service handled the exchange with no problems. After a week of wearing the replacement pair, same thing is happening. I won't return the second pair as I have worn them.

These are so comfortable! I put them on with no socks they were immediately comfortable. My feet feel very secure in them in the water, too.

I bought these because my sister has a pair and loves them. I was not sure about sizing and I cannot truly say they were a full 1/2 size too small, just off a titch. However even with a larger size I think my toes would have been hitting on the right side. They were just not quite right. I wear a 9.5m and ordered the same. I also ordered the Ahnu Tilden V and fell in love the moment I put them on - sheer heaven and a perfect fit! Both of these shoes are fairly nice looking and don't make your feet look big. I really thought I would love the Keen Whisper better. Thank you Zappos for providing free shipping on returns as this gave the option to try two different yet similar shoes. I sent these back today and kept my heavenly Ahnu Tilden V's.

I ordered 1/2 size larger because of the reviews. Fits perfectly. I like that you can get a custom fit by adjusting the laces.

This is my second pair (my first didn't wear out - it was chewed by the dog). I bought them again because of the cushioned sole and the support. I can walk all day with comfortable feet and no blisters. But as soon as I sit down, my feet object to man-made material wrapped so tightly around them, and get too hot and swell. These shoes are for moving around.

These were comfortable right out of the box. I wore them for the first time while touring Lima on a hot and humid day. I wore them for several hours and many miles. My only issue was with the rubber foot bed. My feet are very sensitive and I did get a blister on the ball of my foot.

I wanted to like Keens because people I know swear by them but they never fit me. Turns out I need them 1/2 size smaller than the size I wear 90% of the time. I'm keeping these for my trip to Italy!

Love these! I need to wear a closed toe shoe to work, but can dress casually. With the hot summer, sandals feel better than gym shoes. They don't have as much arch support as I would like, but still better than what you can buy in the stores.

Comfortable shoes, run a little big...not a true 1/2 size, and they make your feet look big by their design..not a slimming shoe but a comfortable one to run around town in.

I bought these sandals for a biking trip-- normally I wouldn't wear this kind of thing. I bought them a half size larger because of the reviews, but I feel like they are actually a half size too large now. I should have exchanged them. In any event, they are super practical, but I don't find them particularly comfortable.

I bought these shoes for summertime fun around the water, climbing in and out of boats. I call them my frog shoes because of the color. I bought a size 5, after trying a 5.5.

Love these shoes. The fit is great. Style is more slick than an earlier model. My only problem is the dirt and sand that gets kicked up in between the holes.

I bought this style in a different color for my daughter and she loved them. We did have to return them and get a half size bigger. Once we received the bigger size, they fit and she loved them. I decided to buy a couple more, one more pair for her and one for me. We wanted different colors. She liked the grey/green and I wanted the purple/grey. We received them both in size 5.5 which fit perfectly in the other pair. The grey/green is fine, the purple is too narrow and too short for both of us. Evidently size/fit may vary within the same style in different colors. If you buy the purple and you have wide feet like me, go a whole size larger than you would usually. I love them, but the purple is more narrow.

Alegria is great for wide feet. Especially if you are on your feet all day like me.

I bought these sandals for my honeymoon in Bora Bora. They are very comfortable and I usually have problems with shoes not fitting well because I need arch support and my foot is narrow. They do run 1/2 size small though. I had originally bought 5.5 but had to exchange them for a size 6. The only problem I saw with these sandals is that they don't have good ventilation. I wore them all day at Disneyland and my feet were hot.

Love these shoes - only negative would be that there is not a lot of tracking for trail hiking - I slipped and fell several times due to little traction.

I bought these for my wife for a trip down the Colorado River. She was not too excited about the style at first but after a week hiking and rafting in the Grand Canyon she was really happy that she had them. They are tough and pretty comfortable considering the alternatives. Though, when hiking through shallow streams, rocks and sand do occasionally get caught in the toe area. Requiring a shake-foot-in water-dance to clear out. They also made pretty funny tan-lines on her feet but she feels the durability and comfort far outweighed the occasional shake-foot and the weird tan-lines. An alternative is the Teva open-toe style sandal which does not get rocks and sand stuck in the toe area but it also does not protect your toes like these do. After a few shots of Tequila, some after dusk jump-rope, and not wearing her Keens, she did manage to loose 75 percent of a toenail anyway.
