I bought these to replace the same model of sandal which I've enjoyed for about eight years. After trying them in my house several times, I found that I can't wear them because the upright support cuts into my ankle. I thought that it might take a little break in period but have concluded that that isn't going to happen. Thank you

I liked the shoe but sadly have to send back because it’s too small.

I bought my first pair of size 8 Whispers in 2014. I purchased a new pair from Zappos three weeks of ago that came with two defects in the left shoe. I returned that pair with no problem. I ordered again the Whisper and it arrived and with no defects. This pair is a 1/2 size bigger than my 4 year old pair because the older pair had fabric that shrunk over my toes due to water wear and my toes felt pressured. My 8 1/2 is perfect. I wore them right out of the box for a river hike. I do wish dirt, pebbles, and sand would stay out of them, but they are supportive of my back and knee which is a priority to me. Thank you, Keen!

I wear a semi-custom insert with these, even though the footbed doesn't really allow it. I lay the two pieces on top. It's a great style for dog walking, because it protects my toes yet is open enough to allow circulation in the hot Florida weather. I also liked another Keen sandal and kept both (even though I really shouldn't have bought both). I like these almost as much as Merrell, but Merrell hasn't had styles that interest me lately. And I like it better than Aravan, plus being less expensive.

Because of the reviews I ordered a half size larger than normal, and that works. I usually wear an 8 1/2 so I ordered size 9 which fits. I like the style because there aren't any velcro straps that I have to undo every time. I just use the pull tab at the heel and pull it on. Lots of ventilation and quality materials.

This is a more delicate version of a typical Keen sandal. I wish I could have kept it but one of my aging feet has developed a bunion, pushing it into the wide range. This keen runs small, so order up a half or maybe whole size. If you have a narrow foot, or maybe even a medium food, this would be a great sandal and not as chunky looking as other keens. I called Keen and learned that it has a thinner footbed than, say, the Newport, so if you need significant cushioning you'd be better of with one of their other shoes. But if you have a health narrow--or maybe medium--foot this would be a flattering, sturdy walking sandal. I envy you!

nice looking shoe and very airy for hot weather but sole is harder and has less arch support than other keens I tried so not as comfortable.

This is the greatest color! I sure wish I could have kept the shoes. They simply ran to small, not at all comparable to most Keen's.

I was hopeful that these would be great, but they are too wide for my foot, so I've decided to try the Ryka water shoe instead. Great, fast, happy service from Zappos!

The blue coral/balti color was gorgeous in person. Although these are wider than the Newport H2, they were still not quite wide enough for my foot. :-( I wish they'd make these in wides. The footbed was so comfy and firm enough to withstand walking/hiking.

This sandals seems like it would be very nice to wear, but the size I ordered was toooo big. The description said to order 1/2 size larger, so I did. The shoes are like a boat on my foot. I went to a store that carries Keen and found I needed to go 1/2 smaller. So, be careful what you order.

I ordered the rose color in my usual size, 8M, and found the fit was ok, just slightly ill fitting in the heel (loose) once I got my foot in all the way. I did not like the way my feet looked in this style (made my feet look bigger). When compared to the Clearwater CNX, the sole of the Whisper felt more cushioned and had a softer sound when walking; however, I like the style, fit and weight (lighter than Whisper) of the Clearwater CNX better.

This is my third pair of whispers; i have a khaki with pink trim and a black with gray trim pair. This time I got the magnet/sangria pair. I wear and bought a 9, didn't need bigger size for sandals (but i do with keen boots). Funny though, this particular pair is not as cushy as my other two. They look exactly the same, and I've been wearing them constantly now for a month or so, an they are hard still. This pair is also a tad longer so i have plenty of toe room. I like them, but now I switch with my old ones a lot still because the older ones are much, much cushier. I could wear them all day for miles and miles at Disney, or just walking anywhere. This new pair not so much but they're pretty.

Well made, but clunky. The Keen Clearwater CNX (which I also ordered) is a less bulky design with same function. I'm returning these.

Although the 5.5 fits my foot well, my pinky toe lands in between the webbing and sticks out. Have to return this style.

THis year's model has been resized. I live in the 2016 Whisper sandals and bought the same size (9.5) this year. Much to my surprise, this year's model definitely runs small. They are shorter, narrower, and while I always buy a 9.5 in any shoe, for the 2017 Whisper I should have gotten a 10. Wish Keen's had put on warning on the model that they had changed the sizing.

These work fine for my long, narrow feet. The Newport H2 Keens did not. I had great service both in getting the order placed and in exchanging one pair to try a different size.

I've been wearing Keens and this type of sandal with them for years. This is the first time I felt the shoe was too narrow or tight. They are still very comfortable, but just not going to work with my really wide feet.

I really wanted these shoes to work to replace a pair of similar style, different brand. The problem with this shoe was the little hole above the big toe. For whatever reason - even when I changed sizes (tried 7.5 to 8.5) - my big toe nail would get caught on the edge of the hole. That doesn't make for a pleasant shoe.

I've had other Keens like this. This one is too short for me - I ordered a 6 and I wear a 6 in regular shoes - shoes pushed my heels to the far back of the sole. May re-try in a 6.5 if I decide I want this again for biking.

I bought these for a trip to Mexico to walk around in town. Comfy and easy to put on and take off when you adjust the straps properly. One of the shoes did rub against my achilles tendon on the first day that I wore them, but afterwards it was fine.

I really like the style and overall fit of these shoes. The problem for me was the arch, or lack there of. My feet seem to need to rest on an arch, and kept searching for one, where none existed in these sandals. We all have different feet and needs in shoes. These just didn't work for me. Too bad because they are so cute, and protect toes.

I read the reviews that said these shoes ran a 1/2 size small, so I ordered a 10.5 as I usually wear a 10. They were huge. So I ordered a 10 and they are still a bit big but they'll be fine. Love the color and style.
