Great shoes that are comfortable and lightweight. I have received many compliments.

If you like the classic, simple styling of Converse All-Stars, but prefer more toe-room, these are great, if more pricey. Actually, I think the styling is better than Chucks with some cute little details, and they\'ve apparently got \'eco-chic\' what with being made partially with various recycled materials. A little arch support, though not a lot, and I suspect they won\'t be particularly durable in the long run, though I hope I\'m wrong about that.

These are well constructed good looking shoes. These seem to be at least a half size too big. The eyelets on the shoe are abrasive on the top of the foot but have not caused blisters yet. I should have returned them because of poor fit though. I normally wear a 13. I own a 13 in this style but is smidge too big. I tried a 12 but they were a smidge too small. Keen doesn't offer a 12.5 in the Coronado. If you can find a good fit this would probably be very comfortable. I removed the insole for my own orthotics so I can't comment on it.

The Keen Coronado's are swell shoes, and that's why I'm bothering with this review. I am a lifelong All-Star destroyer, and will always consider Chuck's to be a pinnacle of modern design that no wardrobe should be without! When I first started looking for a new pair of shoes, that was what I had in mind. Then I decided to mix it up a bit and look at some of the more 'eco-friendly' variations as well as brands using alternate materials. The Coronado's jumped out at me right away, and while they are not as recycled as I might have liked, I decided to take the plunge and give them a chance, I'm glad I did. The Coronado's toe is built heavier than an All-Star, which is great if you bike and rest on them at lights. The natural canvas looks great with the stitching and black toe. The footbed is a huge improvement over the arch-less flatfoot slap. It's wider in the toe box as well, so perhaps I won't have the same blow out problem that I always have with Chuck's. The rubber inserts on the soles are great, without them they would probably be too slippery for riding without toe clips. I actually liked the construction and feel of the Coronado's so much that I recently purchased a pair of the Keen Kanyon's as well. If you are looking for a new look in a somewhat up-built Chuck, give the Coronado a try. I'm wearing mine right now.

These are pretty comfortable shoes. I personally removed the insoles and put a set of orange Superfeet inserts. This helps me with my arch problems. the shoe is nice and wide by the ball of the foot and on through the toes. the half soft and half hard rubber soles take a day to get use to. so watch out and don't slip. For me these keen are a bit flat in the heel. I am used to wearing sneakers and running shoes with all that heel cushioning. I will say that even being this flat they are a nice change from my normal runners. I wear the Keens to and from work and on my days off. I work on my feet all day on a concrete floor and would not wear these shoes there!

While lacking the typical arch support of other Keen styles, this lighter weight retro tennis shoe still has the extra toe room I’ve come to love about Keens.

Very stylish shoe...get a lot of compliments! But for the price and compared to the Keen shoes I have had in the past, I was disappointed in the insole and arch support. For me these shoes aren't great if you are planning to walk quite a bit while wearing.

Tired of the same old Chuck Taylors, so thought I'd give these a try. Definitely feel much sturdier and better made than the Converse, although I still wouldn't plan on walking a lot. Decent looking, though with the giant rubber toe you should be prepared for the "clown shoes" comments, especially if you have larger feet. Appreciate the choice of dark or off-white laces. I have slightly wide feet and found these shoes more comfortable than others, though not to the point where I'd say they are "wide."

I liked the look in the pictures, but when it arrived the toe looked even wider. I wear a women’s 12M and almost have too much room in the shoe. The toe box almost looks a little clownish on my foot. I’m going to return these, but I might try Keens again in the summer.

Nice shoes, little hard on the insole.
The shoes are nice, good looks, they are not as comfortable as I thought, and the insole is a little hard, not enough cushion. Also I wore it only a couple of times and it seems that the shoes will not be durable because all the damage already done. These shoes are good for lounging and hanging out. Not recommended for walks or exercise.

This is probably my sixth of seventh pair of Keens. I fell in love with these sandals and have been buying them up in various styles ever since. These shoes have a great, classic look - people will ask, trust me - but not the same Keen support and stability I expected. They are still a pretty great shoe, good value, but don't have the same comfort. In that sense, they are just like the Converse shoes I remember from childhood.

Great Design, Good Value -
I like Keen's designs and they are a good, moderately priced show. Like most comfortable shoes, you have to sacrifice something. It's hard to find style, comfort, support, longevity and low price all in one shoe. Here's how I would rate the Coronado (1-10): Style 9; Comfort 6; Support 5; Longevity 5; and price 9.

I thought these would be more comfy. It's pretty much a glorified Chuck Taylor. The big rubber toe is reminiscent of Ronald McDonald shoes. No thanks.

I have previously owned Keen shoes and like the fit and quality of them. Sadly these shoes disappointed. I had to return the first pair after about 3 weeks. The fabric they are made from had started to tear and split close to the bottom of the shoe. Not from hard wear - I'm a pretty sedate burb dweller. Of course Zappos were fantastic a new pair arrived the day after I called to ask for a return. I found the shoes to take some time to wear in just getting there with the second pair. I am paranoid about this pair splitting like the first. I like the style of the shoe, comfort is only okay. Build quality is okay. Stick to Keen's leather shoes - much more comfortable and better made. Back to Chuck Allstars for me.

These shoes were o.k. They fit pretty well and looked pretty nice. That said I never thought they were really comfortable shoes, they're pretty basic, like a pair of chucks. Unfortunately they're also not very durable. The sidewalls were separating from the upper and the outsole detaching from the sidewall at the heel after about 6 months.
The Venturas had an outsole that went from the top of your toes to the back of your heel which wore through after about a year but never came apart from the rest of the shoe. I'm not sure why they changed the construction with the Coronados but it's too bad. These seem kind of disposable, like a pair of Chucks.

Not as great as other Keen shoes I've had. There's almost no arch support (ouch!) and the foot bed is pretty thin. Super cute, though!

This was my first pair of Keen's purchased. The shoes are adorable but the comfort level was just not there for me. They are a wide shoe, which I loved but the heel of the shoe was rough, which caused blistering and there is no arch support. Zappos customer service was fantastic as usual with my return though, so I will be trying a new pair of Keen's to purchase.

I purchased these shoes on May 26th, 2011. It is now mid November and the canvas near the in-step is tearing from the rubber base. I have received a number of compliments on these shoes, but I am surprised by the lack of durability.

I have a love/hate relationship with the Coronado. I have bought, maybe, three pairs of this shoe. I love the way it looks and the way it fits. Very short break in period. But the durability is very poor. The textile material the upper is made of tears apart right where it joins with the sole, on the inside of the foot where the shoe bends. I don't wear these shoes very hard--I drive to work, sit at a desk, and drive home. Each pair I've bought, without fail, have fallen apart in this way. I have issues with the Coronado II also (which I bought hoping to end the durability issues) but they are a flop as well. I'll save that for my review on that particular shoe.

I ordered these and instantly returned them. There are a couple things you need to know about these shoes before ordering them:
1: They're not your typical, wide-in-the-toes pair of Keens. If you have a wide foot, look elsewhere.
2: The canvas looks and feels more like a burlap sack than canvas.
I like the style of these shoes, but with the narrow width (again, very untypical of Keen) and the built-from-farm-materials feel, I just couldn't do it.

After a couple weeks of wear, the rubber started peeling, and the shoes started to smell musty. I did not get them wet, and I haven't had that problem before. I washed them and now they are a lot lighter in color. I would not buy these shoes again.

I'm a Keen lover and I also loved a pair of Rocket Dog Chucks, so when those fell apart and I couldn't find a pair to replace them, I thought this pair of Keens was the perfect replacement. I was wrong. They were stiff which at first I mistook as durable but found out was just stiff. Though they look like they do in the picture, no amount of wading, contouring or tenderizing softened them up. I cannot wear these sweet looking Keens without getting a blister somewhere on my feet and that's sad.

I want to love these shoes but the quality is terrible and the fabric separated from the sole on the last 2 pairs within a couple weeks of pretty normal wear.
