These shoes are easy for a toddler to get on and off. But the upright strap rubbed my little guy's foot it took a layer of skin off - it was painful and took 3 days to heal. I can't see how these sandals would need to "break in" - so unfortunately, we won't be wearing them any more.

I like the look and quality of these shoes but my son does not like them at all. He has wide feet and the top of the shoe dents the top of his foot. Bark chips from the playground also get stuck in them.

Purchased these for our very active 1.5 year old. We loved the sporty look and he initially loved running around the house in them on the day they arrived, laughing about his "shoes, shoes, shoes!". However, on the first day that he wore them to daycare, they had to take them off because he developed terrible open blisters on the insteps of both his little feet. Poor kid! I didn't know people could even get blisters there! Can't return them since they've been worn for a day (and bled on, eww!). I hope this sandal works well for other kids as it is very cute, but it didn't work for my son. Can't complain about Zappos at all; ordering was easy and delivery was very fast; love it. Unfortunately, we are still on the hunt for sporty sandals for our active little guy.

We loved the look and idea of these shoes for our 20 month old son, but unfortunately they caused blisters. These shoes get such good reviews, it must be because Nikes run narrow and my boy has slightly wider feet. They look great and we see kids walking around in these all the time, but for us they were a no-go. If your kid has wider feet and your looking for water sandals, take a look at the Teva Psyclone 2 and 3s. They fit like a dream, are adjustable and do not give him blisters. It is what we ended up going with. Good luck!

I got these for my son to wear to the park, splash park and pool this summer. Unfortunately, they rub blisters on the sides of his feet. They're cute and I like their look, but he won't be able to wear them this summer. Looking for another sandal that's water friendly and still narrow enough for his foot.

I have had the ones with the adjustable strap before. This one kept slipping off constantly! I felt like I spent the days putting it back on as it would constantly slip off the back. Even with the smaller size. I would get the ones with the adjustable back for future reference.

First of all these shoe are SO cute! Unfortunately I have to return them because they left blisters on both my son's feet! The way the straps are attached to the sole caused the blisters... They are not smooth around the exterior top of footbed (point where they are attached)! I would have given them 5 stars all around if my son could have worn them! Had to give them a 1 because unwearable shoes are of no use!

I read all the reviews on these sandals and was excited to purchase them for my 2 year old son. After he wore them for just a short period of time, he had raw blisters on the inner arch of his little feet. Unfortunately, I threw the box away by mistake and cannot return them. I should have known better with a Nike product.

I do NOT recommend for toddlers with wide feet. True to size with the length, great shoe just very narrow.
