When I bought a pair of Frye Arkansas brogues recently I followed the manufacturer's recommendation that I treat them with this product. The color hasn't evened out yet, but I'm confident it will keep them handsome during my lifetime.

I purchased this product to condition my new Frye boots. It did turn my boots slightly darker but not much. This is a really good product. I also was looking for a conditioner for my newly purchased leather motorcycle jacket. I decided to try the Fryes conditioner on a the collar as it was quite stiff. I couldn't believe how this tough buffalo hide limbered up. I proceeded to treat the whole jacket and what a difference it made. This is not my first purchase from Zappos and as always, a great company to deal with!

Seems to be good, I bought the spray and this, and while the spray is fast, I ended up having to rub the spray in, so I prefer this cream over the spray because you get thicker better coverage and it's easy to put on. Did darken boot just a tad.

Frye's Leather Conditioning Cream works wonders! It is the best money you can spend to protect the investment made in Frye boots. The cream did a great job of weather proofing my boots, and also helped hide a few scuffs. It does darken the overall color just a bit, but I've got dark brown and cognac boots and it just added to the overall richness of the colors. I won't consider using anything else on my Frye boots!

Was looking for a product to protect my brand new Frye and this is perfect! I also used it on other leather items and works really really well. Highly recommended.

I used this on my brown Frye boots and it worked like a charm. I didn't notice any darkening of the leather after using this product. Easy to use, and great results!

I used this on my old leather items, such as my bags and old shoes. It makes them look "like new" again, makes it more supple, but a tad greasy if you don't let it dry. But it's not greasy to a point where it's a mess or it's annoying. My cheap "vegan leather" bag looks a little better after using this. I'm not sure how "weatherproofed" my items are after using this. However, I do recommend this for your old items. I just took a clean cloth, rubbed some leather cream on it, the rubbed it into the item. I gave it 24 hours to dry. I used to use the Leather Honey, which works fantastic as well, but it's not as forgiving as the conditioning cream. I always ended up putting too much Leather Honey in one spot because it was liquid, and I'm pretty heavy handed.

This cream is the best thing to happen to my leather. I applied it to my new Frye Campus boots. The leather is originally very absorbent, but this helps give it more moisture resistance and a nice shine. It did not change the color, once given a day or so to soak in and dry. If you buy ~$300 Frye boots, please spend the money on this cream to protect them. I also used this on a Fossil messenger bag I've had for 3 years. Now it looks like new and will surely last longer through more years of sun and rain. I'm confident that with the cream, my boots will literally last 20 years.

Super fast shipping, this cream was perfect for my 2 pairs of Frye boots. Didn't notice much of a color change, but did improve the appearance from being dull to looking conditioned and supple. Dries nicely without being greasy.

This waterproofing cream is very easy to apply. Interested to see how long the protection lasts. Seems to renew the luster of the smooth leather.

This cream is very waxy/greasy - in a good way. I put it on my cognac colored booties with a paper towel and it did darken them some, but not lots. I am letting it sit overnight before I wear them - but I think it will dry enough not to attract dust to it. It is a bit hard to polish because of the waxiness, but a shoe brush worked fairly well. The booties are now slightly more matte finished than they were, but that is okay with me.

Out of all the various weatherproofing treatments I've used on my Fryes, I like this stuff the best. It absorbs right in and makes the leather much more supple and shiny when buffed. It did darken my lighter brown Frye oxfords a lot despite being a colorless dressing, so I would advise a spot test before use. No harsh fumes, goes on easily. Great stuff!

This works well, and I'd recommend it. However it appears to be very similar to Mink Oil.

Works as described, protects nicely with water resistance.
I used on a pair of Frye boots and it definitely darkened my boots, maybe because my boots are, or should I say were, on the lighter side. Probably won't effect darker colored boots as much.

The Frye conditioning cream is a waxy paste that you spread on your boots as opposed to the waterproofing spray which is a fine liquid-y mist. Choose your product accordingly! I found the waterproof spray was easier to use.

I just use this on my charcoal Frye engineer 12R boots last night. It did turn them about a shade darker and now the distressing is barely visible. I don't mind though because the leather looks great and supple, and I preferred a darker boot anyway. If you don't want your boots to darken though, I would not recommend it. I think it's worth it though to have them protected from snow/rain.

My first thought was that this is just pricey Vaseline. I am still not entirely sure how it differs from Vaseline, but it does a good job of keeping my boots looking new. I have not had a chance yet to see if it protects against rain.

Great product - It's very nourishing, but I would never use this on light color leathers unless you wanted to darken them.

I don't know if there is any way around it, but it made my expensive Frye brown boots noticeably darker. Not a hue to my liking I might add.

I purchased this conditioning cream based on the many good reviews, but I was very disappointed in the result. I followed the directions regarding application. My boots started off as light cognac colored, but as was mentioned in previous reviews, it did darken the leather. In my case it did not darken uniformly and there was one big spot that was darker (they are smooth leather boots, not distressed). I figured it was worth it for the waterproofing. When I was done applying the cream, I sprayed some water on the boots and it beaded up instead of absorbing, and I thought, great, this will work for my trip to London next week! Yesterday, I walked across Tower Bridge in London in the rain (we're talking June here), and my boots totally absorbed all the water and turned dark. The cream didn't work at all for waterproofing! Next time I will pay less money and stick with Mink Oil you can get at the drug store. I spent extra money for a product I thought would be better for my nice boots but it didn't do anything except darken them...and unevenly at that.
