I have had the same shoes in buff for about a year and love them. Initially I thought these were just as good and wore them only to discovered that they are ever so slightly tighter than my first pair and rub my foot in one spot. This may just be specific to the construction of my foot, but if you buy them wear them in the house for a few hours before you wear them out.

Unfortunately the same day these shipped I found them at a local shoe store so tried them on in advance. I did find that I like the color Aluminum which is more of a taupe-cream color. However I do not care for the fit. The toe box is extremely wide. Even when I sized down I found my foot sliding all around in the shoe when I walked. I have a medium width foot and usually do not have this problem with Merrell products. The good news is I ordered more than one pair so hopefully the other ones will be great. These will have to go back.

I was looking for shoes to take on a walking trip. These are not supportive enough for that purpose. The length felt right. I liked the mesh, but it felt rather rough.

Cut into my foot - Disclaimer: I have weird feet. These were really cute and I liked them but they cut into the arch of my foot when I walked, so I had to return them. :(

Comfortable shoe with a fatal flaw - the heel! The heel majorly comes up high and curves into the foot at the back. My heels do not curve in like that, so the whole edge of the shoe cuts in while walking. I took these on a trip and had to use scissors to cut (yes, cut!) the whole top of the heel area off. Super comfortable after that. This is the 2nd pair of Merrell's it's happened with. Can't buy this brand until this inherent design flaw is addressed.

I was hoping for a lightweight shoe, have been wearing Jungle mocs. This is cheaply made- the insole is inadequate, little foot support.

I liked these shoes right out of the box. They were comfortable and did not rub my heels. They looked a lot clunkier than I thought they would, but I needed them for a trip so I kept them. I wore them regularly for about two months before my toes poked holes right through the sides! I could not believe it! At these prices, a pair of Merrells should stand up to regular wear for at least a couple of years. They get two stars because they were pretty comfortable for those first couple of months, but the quality was very disappointing. I will think twice before buying Merrells again.

I will be returning these. I wear a size 10 and have a narrow/reg foot width. These were really big, length wise and width for me. The back was higher than usual for some reason and rubbed and irritated my heel/ankle. Cute but not a good fit for me. I wouldn't recommend to someone with a narrow-ish foot, and maybe order a 1/2 size smaller.

These shoes were huge! Felt almost a size over what I normally wear. On top of that the white area around the top of the shoe over by the toe area cut into my foot. Disappointed with this shoe, thanks Zappos for free returns.

Cute shoe, but absolutely huge compared to marked size. Since the edges of the shoe barely touched my foot, I can't tell for sure if there would be support, but given that the fabric is open mesh, I doubt it.

Just bought my FIFTH pair of these - I couldn't love them more. Do order a half size down from your normal though - I am usually a pretty firm 8.5 but the 8.5 is just too sloppy in these, the 8 is perfect. They maintain their true black even after a year of wear, the soles hold up really well - I wear mine walking my dogs 3 miles a day on asphalt and these last way longer than any other shoe and are comfortable right out of the box with no rubbing,etc. Get yours now!

I adore these shoes. Wore them all summer, even on vacation where I averaged 16,000 steps a day. No pain, no tiredness, just comfort. Wonderful shoe!

I've worn Merrell brand shoes for years. Sometimes I buy another brand but I return to Merrell because I know they are going to fit & be comfortable. I bought this style because they've combined mesh for warmer weather along with covered toes (don't always have a fresh pedicure!) and because the adjustable strap will help them stay on for walking safety. Thank you, Merrell!

Great shoes, good support, they go with everything. I ordered a half size up and they are fine but would have a better fit if I stayed with my original size.

I bought my first pair 4 years ago and have worn them nearly every day since! They are that comfy and durable. I usually wear a 7M and that size fits perfectly with socks. At first the back was too stiff but with some kneading it, it softened and hasnt bothered me since. I even wore these hiking the mountains and streets in Japan and they were perfect for the on/off routine in airports and in my apartment. Even if I wear them in rain, they dry quickly d/t the mesh. Love them!!!!

Lightweight and comfortable, these shoes are excellent for walking and activity in the warm months. I was surprised at support not usually found in a light shoe. They run a bit long in the length and the width seems standard. I highly recommend this shoe.

This is a very sturdy, very comfortable, well-made shoe with surprisingly good support and a non-skid type sole. Exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately I have a narrow foot(size 6) and it was too wide for me. For those with a narrow foot, there was sufficient velcro in the closure to try to sinch it tight. For those who wear inserts (I tried to see if it would take up some of the slack), they go in very easily. Wish this shoe would have worked. Note to Zappos: I love buying shoes from you. You make it so easy. One suggestion -- on your videos it would be great if you allow us to see the amount of velcro rather than just doing a very quick open and close of the strap. Important to those of us with narrow feet. Thank you!

I am SO disappointed in these shoes. The piece at the heel is too tall just like the Jambu Misty Encore shoe was! They both rubbed my heel enough so that I could not wear them. Are these shoes made by the same company? They were cute, and comfortable enough, if you discount the heel issue.

Just what I was looking for... Low profile, neutral color, cushioned M.J. I loved that it didn't make my foot look huge. Other reviews stated that it was 1/2 size big, but Zappo's did not have a 7.5. I took a chance and ordered my normal size 8. Sorry to say, I agree with the other reviewers. I will have to send them back.

I Love these shoes! I am 47 and recently started an all day on your feet job... Looking for a size 12 cute but comfy shoe.... These in a size 11 fit the bill perfectly! After reading reviews that they run Long I decided to give it a try... & Yes they run a bit long so the 11 works perfectly for me & 3 weeks of daily wear (even evenings & weekends) because they are so Good Looking & Incredibly Comfortable!

size 7.50 arrived promptly. too big in twos. I ordered a 7 and that fits good. One foot is larger in toes as right hammer toe.

I love this style! I do a lot of walking in my city & I have enjoyed these shoes for years.
