My Husband absolutely loves these boots. He needed good foot wear for snowblowinl. He had a major foor injury years ago and as another review said they feel very snug at first. Wear around the house a few times, they mould to your foot, and thats exactly true. They will actually feel to narrow, but keep wearing them you won't regret it. They are an invesment, but will last him forever.

If you think you'll never find a pair of boots that will keep your feet warm, these are for you! Too many incidents of frostbite when I was a kid has left me with a real problem keeping my feet warm in winter, but these are amazing. I needed those disposable toe warmer things in every other pair of boots I've tried. They are super comfy and very light weight for such a warm boot. They fit nicely into my snowshoes and allow me to enjoy hours of snowshoeing or ice fishing or sitting through a cold football game without worry about cold feet. They've also held up really well. I think I'm probably in my fifth year or so of owning these and they're' in perfect condition. Worth the investment!

Incredible comfort and warmth. I bought these, the Baffin Wolf and the Baffin Colorado. Both of those were rated at -40, these are rated at -148. I hope I never find myself in that temperature but the Impact is significantly warmer than the other 2. Give them some time to break in, they might feel snug at first but will mold to your foot. I bought a size up and they fit fine. I think you could possibly even go up 1 1/2 sizes but I am an 8 so I went with a 9.

Baffin Impact seems to be well made and very warm. I returned it as it runs small and they don't make a bigger size. The only negative on the boot construction is that the buckle system doesn't get tight enough which allows the boot slip around while walking. Adding a middle buckle might fix that issue.

These boots look to be high quality. I am looking forward to going ice fishing. I originally ordered the normal size but that was too small so I ordered the next size up and they fit correctly. I had no hassles whatsoever from Zappos. Zappos is a pleasure to do business with!

I bought a pair of these boots a year ago. I can't say enough about them super comfortable, light, easy to take on and off. Feet stay dry and warm. After reading the reviews on size I am a 9/5. So I got a size 10 they fit perfect best snow I've ever owned. :)

I only tried these on for size and comfort. However, I can tell by the construction of the boot that it would be a supremely warm boot and completely snow proof if you are working in deep snow. My feet and calves were completely surrounded by a very thick layer of insulation, between the thick, removable, inner, liner and the outer boot. Not only were these boots comfortable, they were the easiest boot to put on and take off. (No laces) Because these are such extreme boots for the Washington DC metro area, I felt it would be more than what I would need for the majority of occasions. I want something I can possibly wear to work. If I wore them to work, it would draw a lot of attention. They are cool looking none-the-less. The boots covered my entire calf, up to my knees. they are two wide around the calf to wear typical pants over. So the pants had to be tucked into the boot. If I were not concerned about over spending, I would keep these boots for the rare times we have two, back-to-back, 3 foot snow storms.

By far the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I needed go gear up for cold Minnesota winters, so I ordered several of the top winter boots. These stood out above the rest. They feel like I'm walking on air. Impressive design. I heartily endorse them.

I have not had a chance to try these Baffin Impacts 08 out yet as I purchased them during warm weather. But they do feel tight around my foot. I am 8 1/2 and ordered a 9 and felt tight. Other reviews said they loosen up after wear...we will see. As far as warmth, not sure. They seem like they would be warm. Haven't worn them around with wool socks. They do come up pretty high up my calf. Overall looks like great boots. Hope they perform as well as they look.

The Baffin Impact 08 is the boot I ordered for working in McMurdo Station Antarctica. It met all the size and performance parameters I needed for the climate I was going to be working in. As a Heavy Equipment Operator contractor who works exclusively outside on the Antarctic Ice Shelf building and maintaining Ice Runways, Roads, Airfields landing surface and launch facilities for NASA and USAF for the United States Antarctic Program the boots had to be warm, light weight, have exceptional traction, and most importantly fit my large foot,(15EE) The Baffin Boot exceeded my expectations, they lasted a full two seasons wearing them every day. The only design challenge of this Impact 08 version war the nylon upper got caught on things as I entered the cabin seating of the various equipment seating support occasionally tearing the uppers, and the Insert wore out at the heal unexpectedly after one season, and I ordered a new pair of inserts. The boots are currently ready for a third season, but I am going to have a second pair of Baffin APEX as back ups. There is nothing more important that the freedom of knowing your feet will be warm as toast, in an eight layer special designed insert that fits like a glove, a waffle sole and reflective “air bubble” underfoot and cold rated to -100°C/-148°F. Cold feet,. No Worries! Order BAFFINS!

Got these for snowmobiling and found them to be perfect for my needs. They are a big bulky boot, but they keep your feet very warm and dry. What I really like about them it how easy they go on and come off, it's like sliding your feet into big slippers.

I had just heard Tony S [Zappos CEO] speak in Vegas, and was impressed but had never shopped Zappos. Also had exhausted LL Bean boot possibilities so I thought I would give Zappos a try. I am glad I did. I need a warm winter boot with traction that was a slip on. Easy on & off. I couldn't determine if they were the right fit online so I ordered 5 pair of boots, and unfortunately none of them fit. Right after I ordered the 5, Zappos alerted me that the Baffos were available in my size, so I ordered that pair too. They were great and I kept them. Ordered size 11 and they fit perfect [I am a 10.5-11], were pretty easy to slip on, extremely warm for snowblowing, and helped me make it through a brutal Chic winter of about 70" of snow and many sub zero temps. Even took the boots on a trip to pond hockey tourney where it was -10, and never had a cold toe. Only comment I would make is I wish they were a bit lower/smaller - they are a bit too high at about 12" [upper shin height]. Returned the other 5 pair of boots no problem. Will definitely shop Zappos again. Outstanding!

These replaced a pair of LaCrosse Iceman boots I bought close to 25 years ago. I've worn them once to blow snow and they are far more comfortable than the Iceman they replaced. They are also far, far easier to put on and take off than lace-up boots. These are quality boots for anyone spending a lot of time in the cold outdoors.

These boots are great. They are light, comfortable and incredibly warm. They are also easy to get on and off.

Great boot, warm and lightweight. Used for snowmobiling kept feet warm and dry. Would highly recommend.

I live in North Dakota and have some very cold weather to deal with. My other pack boots were just not keeping my feet warm. Did a lot of research and liked what I read about Baffin boots. I decided to try the impact boot out. Well I am impressed. Spent several hours outside moving snow with the ATV and shoveling. It was 23 deg below zero and my feet never got cold. Very light weight boot for the size and very comfortable. I ordered 1 size larger because I like to wear wool socks; otherwise I think my regular size would be fine.

Love the boots. Warmest I've ever had, bordering on too hot at times. They are very tall and come within a few inches of my knee which I like. Super soft inside, kind of like moon boots. My only knock on them is they run really small. I wear a 9.5 and ordered an 11 based on the other reviews and they fit pretty tight. When I first tried them on I considered sending them back and getting a bigger size. I kind of like them loose to get more air/warmth in the toes and these are definitely snug. However, I ended up keeping them and they feel great. That is the right size for me. Amazingly light for a boot that big. Overall fantastic.

These boots are everything advertised and more. They have a great snug fit and the interior just forms to your feet. I cannot wait to give these a real try with all this cold weather in northern Minnesota.

Amazing! My feet have never been warmer! I was deer hunting in a morning when it was 1 degree, with a wind chill of -5. Hands- numb, face-numb, feet- toasty! They feel a little small when you first put them on, but the cushining will conform to your feet and fit better. I am normally an 11, and the 11 fit well. Easy to put on/off. Comfortable to walk in, although not the most agile boots I own they are the warmest by far.

I purchased Bafflin's Impact boots for two reasons. I wanted warm feet and I needed them for snowshoeing. It was recommended that I order a size larger than my regular shoe size. I did. They fit perfectly. The unfortunate part of the purchase was that the toe box is so large (say gigantic!) that I was unable to place them in either of my Tubbs snowshoe bindings. I am positive that they would have kept my feet warm. However, I returned them in my quest to find insulated winter boots for snowshoeing. Zappos has outstanding customer service and return policy that rivals L.L. Bean.

My husband loves them, says it's like walking on clouds, they are amazingly light for the size (they are HUGE). We haven't had any super cold temperatures yet, but they appear to be able to hold out snow and cold!

These are great boots. They are easy to put on and take off. They are warm and comfortable for all around use. I was ice fishing for 12 hours in them and never got cold feet. They also have great ankle support.

Enjoy this boot. I did an exchange for a size larger, which occurred in true Zappos fashion - fast and without hassle. This was done after following Baffin recommendation for size checking. I have worn them around the house. They are comfortable. I can hardly wait for Ice fishing. I am confident they will perform admirably.
