Just wore them straight out of the box over a 4 day period at a horse show, where I averaged 10 miles a day walking all over the venue, and they were very comfortable. Can’t imagine doing that with just any boot. Great foot protection around the horses. I love them.

These are fabulous boots! The leather is tough, but soft and not stiff. The soles are lightweight. When you walk in them they feel supportive, with just the right amount of spring in them. They seem a little smaller than a normal 8.5 (US), even with thin socks. They were difficult to pull on and off, but I think that might improve over time, and I think that is usual for this style of shoe. I so wanted to keep these boots for myself -- I love the way they look! This style just doesn't work on my feet -- narrow high arch and heel, but wide across the ball of my foot (bunions), and one toe that is longer than most shoes think they should be. So I guess I'll go back to my usual lace up boots.

I ordered the Blundstones twice before I noticed a 1/2 size difference in the two size charts. When I ordered from the AU size chart that equates to the american size the fit was perfect, the UK size chart was a 1/2 size smaller. Thanks to Zappos quick response and return I had the proper boots with out much delay. My boots are very comfortable with no break in time required.

This is the best Blundstone you can buy. Hands down. The brown leather is the most versatile and classic looking and the leather lined version is far superior to the non-leather lined (and the price difference is nominal). If you are new to Blundstone or want to spring for just one pair this is the one. They polish up great for daily wear to the office or let them weather for the true Blundstone look. Best part is I can use my podiatrist recommended inserts in these for ultimate support and comfort.

Great boot... for some reason i ordered a half size down (probably b/c most shoes are too wide for me) however, I needed to stay with my true size.

I love Blundstone and have worn Blundstone boots for over 20 years. But this is the fourth pair I tried, in a new style this time, and the heel once again was too loose. I am so sad, but these are going back. :-( I cannot have my heel swimming around in my everyday go-to shoes. Blundstone, if you are listening, I sure hope you change the last back to the way it was!

Blunnies are a can't miss. Extremely comfortable. Incredibly durable. These passed the style test of my super-cool 20 year old son. Proletarian elegance.Classy but humble. Spot on.

After reading dozens of reviews, I decided to order my normal shoe size (9.5) in these. However, I knew immediately upon taking them out of the box that they were way too small! And they were! My toes were completely scrunched at the end leading me to believe that either my pair was mis-labeled or these run a full size smaller than stated. I've returned the first pair and am anxiously awaiting a second, larger size. I'll update my review when I know what size I truly am!

Purchased a pair during a visit to Santa Fe, NM this. Spring. Felt great as soon as I put them on and continue to be the most comfortable shoes I own. Wish I had discovered them a long time ago. Finding the right right size might be a bit tricky as they are sized to U.K. standards. I normally take a 9.5 or 10 U.S. sizing and a 10.5 fit perfectly. Strongly recommend trying on before buying. They are fine for all seasons and go well with just about anything. Great for hiking, walking, and motorcycling.

Tight fit across the top of my feet for the first few days...break in period....? After that perfect!

I work in the wine industry in California and wear these everyday. I've beaten them up so badly and they still look great, planning to get a pair in black too. You need to break them in, once you do they are so comfortable you can sleep in them. Well worth the money, fantastic quality, my everyday work boot.

Love them! So comfortable. Never want to take them off. I wear an 8 1/2 typically in shoes and a 9 in boots and the 9s are perfect.

Run short and wide. I ordered 10.5 but seemed like 9.5. Blundstone sizing confusing.

Finally needs to replace my beat up Blundstones and turned to Zappos! Since a new company started making these great boots I had to return the original size I ordered. Zappos made the exchange fast, seamless and free! I ordered women's size 9 1/2, but needed the 10 for a perfect fit. These boots are waterproof and the warmest I'd ever worn even in the cold NY winter. Granted I'm not in the rural upstate area, but toes get freezing cold if you're walking around NYC in winter weather. Zappos had my exchange in my hands in a day, no kidding!

I'm normally a women's size 9.5-10. I bought the AU 7 and while it is pretty good in length, it is a little wide even with the inserts. I am going to try the womens specific and see if that is better. Very high quality boot, though!

Love these boots! They are my first Blunnies and have held up well in heavy rain so far, and are very comfortable after breaking them in. Other reviewers have said they didn't need to break them in so I wore them for 10 hours on the first day. Whoops. My legs weren't used to the high back of the boot so there was some soreness. The next time I wore them for 3 hours and they were awesome. No problems since! Also I am a wide and the Blunnies website said .5 sizes are the wider ones. Fit perfectly with room for thick wool socks. It's the beginning of a long term love for sure.

I bought a pair of these for casual wear, after abusing a black pair as my professional kitchen shoes. Five years on and they are just now broken in.

I have had Blundstones now for over 10 years and live in them. I currently have 3 pairs but have had 500 and 550s over the years. Recently, I purchased the 519 brown/ODs and fit was cramping, painful and seemed different than all other fits. I order the superseries 1402 same color with glove liner and SPS soles...out of the box fit like my others...like most sizes maybe my 519s were just cut small from factory. I would go with the 550s for easy on/off and glove lining. My original 500 (now vintage) are 10 years old and re-soled. I love these boots. My old pair of brown 500 soles did crumble but I got my wear out of them. I will have these on in Fire Lake one day too...when I turn 100...hooah.

I can't begin to say how much I love this boot and for that matter all of the Blundstone boots! The only reason I'm buying another pair is my boyfriend made me. Yes, my BL550's are 15 years old but I still love them they are just starting to look a little...worn. If you are thinking about buying this boot, just do it! I love mine and they are worth it!

Very well made, light weight and comfortable, but you must pay attention to the sizing chart, I always need a 9D ordered these in a 8 perfect fit. Needs no break in time. Love em.

HIGHLY recommended. Easy on-off (for airport travel), not too heavy, clean look, but truly watertight (stomp through puddles, snow, etc). I went with US 12 equivalent, and initially worried I got them too big. Boots come with optional inserts to tighten fit up - perfect for me. DON'T order too small (true for all non-western boots, I read). Anyway, this style may be my new default winter boot. Blundstone, don't discontinue these or I will cry.

I am a teacher with very bad feet and the need to stand at least eight hours each day. I love these boots. I just wore them on a vacation to Paris where I walked at least 8-10 miles each day. I normally only attempt that in my New Balance running shoes, but wore these most days and had happy feet! I highly recommend them. I did replace the insoles they came with with insoles from a pair of running shoes prior to the trip.

I really love these boots and wear them everyday except in the summer. I have flat, kind of wide feet and a narrow heel with small bunions. I do not get the support I need without inserting my Superfeet arch supports; with them, there is great support and my heel hardly slips at all. The leather also stretches and seems to conform to your foot. I usually get the 500, but this time got the 550 (lined with soft leather) and prefer them. They look great with jeans and last, usually, for a few years. Eventually the sole begins to break down, but I feel like I get my money's worth.
