My husband and I have worn Blunnies for over 10 years. He has steel toe/plate as well for work. I wear these October through May except through the deepest snow or if I will be outside for an extended period. I have very hot feet, and they breathe well. They will also take an orthotic and are the same shape as real human feet - Imagine! I wear them for all but the dressiest occasions. I wear a women's size 5 and my husband a size 12 shoe (3 & 11 in the Aussie sizes). If your foot is very narrow, this is not the shoe for you, but for all others - grab them! Very lightweight.

These are the boots I've been looking for. The best way to figure out your size is to go to the Blundstone web site and print out their sizing sheet and go from there. I recommend the 550 over the 500. Worth the difference in comfort, and they are comfortable. Look great as a dress boot for work and play. My favorite shoe right now. Probably going to get a pair in black.

I am a US women's size 7.5 and ordered a 4.5 and they were definitely too small. I also didn't like the walnut color (it was too dark for me and I didn't like the contrasting stitching color). I ended up ordering BL 1609 in antique brown, size 5 and they're great. The Blundstone website makes it clear that the BL 1609 is the same thing as 550s, just in antique brown.

Beautiful shoes. But way too hard to put on and take off. Too bad. I will return them.

This is an excellent boot! I got these a month ago and have been wearing them almost daily: super warm, great traction, wife loves the look of them!

From picking Shiraz out on the vineyard under the blazing sun in Southern Australia to the snow driven, salty streets of a NYC winter, these boots are as solid as they get. Comfy, stylish and versatile.

It took me a while to find the right size. Thankfully, Zappos Customer Service made this extremely easy, too easy. These are very comfortable boots, not overly stylish, but functional, especially in Oregon. While they don't need to be broken in, I can't wait for them to get some character (i.e., scratches, scuffs).

Very comfy right out of the box. I wear a size US 10.5 and it was recommended to go with Aussie 9.5, that\'s what I did and they fit perfect. The construction and quality is excellent, top grade. I usually wear custom hand made cowboy and riding boots so I\'m fussy about construction. I\'ve worn the Blundstone in wet and dirt, scuffed them, and they have cleaned up as good as new. A very good, go anywhere, do anything type of boot.

It is clear that these guys have been making these shoes for a long time. They are super comfortable and very well put together. I've tried this style made by other brands and the Blundstone has refined their product way beyond the competition. Everyone should have a pair of these.

Been wearing this boot for about a year and a half on pretty much a daily basis. It's very comfortable, and very well constructed. The elastic gore hardly shows any sign of stretching, and the sole still has plenty of life. I us a stand-up desk at work, so I'm on my feet all day in these. No problems at all. Great for yard work and an occasional easy walk in the woods.

I bought these to wear to work and around town and couldn't be more happy with them! These are very comfortable for boots and very lightweight! Recommended!

These boots are very comfortable, very well made, quality leather. Perfect for my home in the Northeast woods. They keep my feet nice and dry. These are my second pair - this time I went for the leather lining and extra insoles. Not bad looking either, I don't hesitate to wear them to town with better clothes.

This is my first experience with Blundstone and I am a fan for life. Most comfortabe shoes/boots I have ever worn. Will definitely buy again. Great service from Zappos as usual.

I have wanted a pair of these for a while. I ordered them on Thursday night and they arrived Friday. They were true to size, and immediately comfortable. They look great with anything. Since I have never owned a pair, I can't comment on the build issues cited by others. Mine were made in Vietnam, seem solid.

Really beautiful shoe- the leather is soft and pliable, even for a double-leather boot. These are dressy, not too rugged, but eminently swanky. The sole is extremely tough, and they are comfortable enough to wear all day right out of the box. The downloadable Blundstone sizing chart (PDF) is very handy and worked well for me. I wear a size 45 Euro, and the 11 AU fit me perfectly well for a casual shoe.

Now I know why there is an almost cult-like following for Blundstone boots. I ordered two pairs w/ the intention of selecting the ones I liked the most. I ended up keeping them both. I bought the smooth leather version and the suede ones. Both are lined. I have normal to narrow feet and the boots fit perfectly. I like my boots a bit snug and then let my feet break them in to a perfect fit. They were comfortable from day one and get better every day. They are not a heavy duty boot. I wear my loggers for heavy work. The Blundstones are flexible, the sole is not very stiff. This may mean a shorter life but it will be a pleasant shorter life.

Got these boots for my husband who wears them outside in the rain and mud, and they're working out great for him. Previous boots he has had (LL Bean slip-ons and other non-leather slip-on boots) have not lasted very long with him, but these look much more durable and comfortable. Definitely recommend them (I've worn my pair of Blunnies for years), and also Zappos with such quick service. Many thanks.

I actually wear flip flops most of the year due to living in the CA desert, but there are a couple of months of the year that it is cold enough to require something a little warmer on my feet. I have had Blundstones in the past (a souvenir of a trip to Australia) so I knew they would be comfortable and they are. The sizing is as stated, and they required no "breaking in" time like so many other boots. I think you will be happy with them if you decide to purchase... I actually purchased both the brown and black pairs.

Great boots. Great fit. They come with an extra this insert that reduce a half size to make sure they fit correctly. I wear a 9.5-10 typically and am very happy with the Australian size 8.

These boots are great! Run a bit big, but they come with an insert so that if you wear a thinner (or thicker) sock, they still work. (Order your usual size). High quality. Nice and warm. I wanted something to wear to work (I’m a teacher) that is comfortable, not too heavy or "clunky", and I can wear all day. Didn’t want to wear a boot to work and then change my shoes because the boot looks too casual. These are perfect.

These just arrived in the mail after I ordered them yesterday morning! I've wanted a pair of Blunnies for years, and finally took the plunge. I was hoping them to fill a void in my closet: a tough boot in crappy conditions or when playing/working outside and a sleeker leather shoe to wear to work. These fit that description exactly. They felt great right out of the box, and I immediately went out on a 3 miles walk in 6 inches of fresh snow and sleet with the dog. My feet stayed 100% dry and warm the whole time. The boots come with a set of insoles in the box from Blundstone to customize the fit a bit should one foot be slightly bigger/smaller than the other, or to accommodate any variation in the shoe's size (see past reviews). I'm a 6 or 6 1/2 women's, and ordered a size 4 Australian (6 1/2 US). With a pair of winter wool socks they fit perfectly. I think this is the start of a lifetime of owning a pair of these.
