I was having trouble with twists and turns for Zumba. These have a sole that grips when I need but allows the turny-ness dance exercise needs (my running shoes grip way too much and very unidirectionally). These run small though and I would suggest a whole size larger.

I was looking for something for Zumba on a carpeted floor. This shoe is awesome! Light, comfortable, and just enough slide without being too much. I ordered a size larger initially and my toe was squished at the end. Returned for 1.5 sized larger than normal. It fits great!

Tried these shoes in the house. I have plantar fasciitis, and I got them for arch support: definitely not enough support!

These shoes are definitely not for anyone with a wide foot. I read many of the reviews and went up a 1/2 size as advised by most of the reviews. The length was fine but the width was too narrow for my feet...too bad because I think I would have liked them if they were just a little wider.

Love this shoe for dance workouts. Allows for sliding movements and twists without the friction that comes with my cross trainers. Very comfortable and fits like a glove. Very flexible and essentially moves with your body with no resistance. Normally wear a size 8.5M. Based on reviews, bought a size up (9.5M) but was still a tad too snug. Contacted Zappos on the phone and exchanged for a size 10 and the fit was PERFECT! I received the exchanged item the next day. Talk about prompt service! Customer service was excellent, by the way, which makes all the difference when buying online. Love the fact that exchanges are free.

I bought this shoe for West Coast Swing dance practice and absolutely love it! Lots of support, plus slick on a wood floor so I can spin. I highly recommend!

I have tried many different dance sneakers for Zumba & these are by far the best. I have slightly narrow feet & these are perfect. They are comfortable & allow me to pivot on the wood floor. I wear an 8 and I bought an 8 1/2 which are perfect.

This is a nice dance shoes. I love bloch, most of their shoes are great no matter what. You must go up a size from your everyday shoe.

These shoes are great! I use them in my Zumba classes and my knees are so much better now. They do run a size smaller than what you normally wear so order up a size. Zappos' service is wonderful.

These are definitely more comfortable than an ordianry pair of trainers for dancing due to the fact they are light have good support and soft padding. Even though these are low profile the extra height between the floor and your foot effects the centre of gravity. This and the thick soles stop you from feeling the floor which I like to do. I thought the split-sole design would take a bit of getting used to but I found that aspect of the shoe to be fine. The sole does have a small medial pivot point but the rest of the sole is rubber which adds too much friction making turns or spins difficult and consequently putting stress on the knee joints. Overall I found them well made, comfortable but almost impossible to dance in due to the rubber sole and heel.

Hands down the most comfortable shoe I've ever owned. I'm not a dancer, but was referred to get these for needing to stand for long hours as a nurse. They fit like a glove and provide excellent arch support

These shoes are perfect for Zumba class. Very comfortable and a nice supportive arch. I can pivot easily because they don't stick to the floor. I was worried about hurting my knees with my regular gym shoes. As others have found, I ordered a full size up and it's just right.

These and the Bloch DRT are my favorite shoes for Zumba because they do not stick to the floor -- they allow easy turning on the ball of the foot. I had to order a size and a half larger than my normal size 8 for street shoes.

I got these for my mom for her modern dancing class and she just loves them. She wears a size 7.5 for shoes. I ordered an 8 and an 8.5 for her and the 8.5 fit her perfectly. The shoes is essentially in two parts - front and back. The bottom of the front part is smooth for ease of turning/twisting as you dance.

Lightweight with a lot of support. Easy to take off and slip on. I always get one size larger in Bloch than in my regular size and that works fine

The shoes ran small, but were comfy when all is said and done. They work wonderfully for the Zumba class, in that they allowed you to move freely without "sticking" to the floor. I was able to do spins and turns easily and slide from move to move. Definitely noticed a difference between these and the running shoes I usually do class with.

I wear these shoes for jazzercize and they work great. They are very cute on and super comfy and have plenty of support. I normally wear an 8- 8 1/2 and I ordered a 9 1/2 and they are perfect.

This is a really great shoe to wear while doing workouts. The flexibility of the shoes enables me to keep my balance better than when I wear cross training shoes. My trainer liked them so much that she bought a pair for herself.

These are perfect shoes for Zumba / dance exercise / kick box exercise. I have bad knees from my old injuries and rheumatoid arthritis, and I started Zumba recently. I originally used a pair of cross training shoes and developed horrible knee pain on the inner sides of my knees probably from the lateral motions on the shoes that had too much frictions on the wooden gym floor. I then tried Ryka which were way too bulky, too heavy, way too much friction and too much arch support and overall protection (I have high arch and prefer bare feet kind of person); retunred. I tried Zumba Remix, although they were light and wonderful still they had a tad too much friction (I will use them for other training so I will be keeping them). Finally, I ordered these Bloch Evolution. I wish I had ordered them first. I hesitated because they kind of look ugly and only black color. But, wow, they are the perfect pair for Zumba or dance exercise. They have perfect amount of sliding ability - no more friction thus no more lateral stress on my bad knees. They have great cushions on the heel and on the ball of the foot although I would never land on my heel while dancing. They fit nicely my a little narrower feet. I also have a long middle toe (my middle toe is much longer than my first toe), so the shape of this shoe is good for me. I used to dance many years ago in heeled dance shoe that had no friction at all (leather sole) so I am used to dance that way. As for size, the size was just as I expected for any workout shoes. My size for flats, pumps, sandals is 7; for boots, it is 7½; For running / cross training, it is either 8½ or 9. For this Bloch Evolution pair, 8½ fits perfectly with any socks. So, there was no surprise for me. For me, these have more than enough arch support, too. I highly recommend these pairs to anyone who wants to Zumba or dance. I use them for kick box exercise and they work very well, too. Any workout that needs lateral slides / move can benefit from these pairs. I wish they came in different colors.

I bought the Bloch Evolution Sneaker for dance, not Zumba. I do lyrical/modern and wanted a more supportive shoe for practice. I debated getting a 1/2 or full size larger, but a dancer friend has a pair one size larger, so I ordered that. The ball of my foot fits the right area of the shoe, and length is good (I have a little room in the toe area.) I like the look of the tapered toe area and the support and cushioned feel of the heel. I am used to split soles and I wear them w/o socks. They are very comfortable. I may have been able to get away with just a 1/2 size larger than my street shoe, but I think these will be just fine and very good for what I bought them for.

Great shoe for Zumba! I was having trouble finding shoes that didn't hurt my feet and my friend purchased these. I decided to give them a try and they are wonderful. Please go up a 1/2 or a full size when you order these.

Based on other reviewers, I ordered this shoe a full size larger than my regular size - it was just right. I bought the shoe for Zumba because my regular athletic shoes gripped the floor too much - these seem to have just the right amount of "spin." I've only worn them once, but had no problems during or after class with painful knees, feet, etc. they are very bouncy and the arch support really cradles your foot. They might have felt a little less stable laterally than my usual athletic shoe but I probably could have corrected that by stopping to lace them tighter. I have a somewhat wide foot and a low arch and I thought the shoes felt great - plenty of room in the toe box. I highly recommend them.

This is a great little shoe! I usually wear an 8 1/2, but ordered a size 9 after reading the reviews. It fit fine. I have bunions, and there was no discomfort. Am using these for low-impact aerobics combined with bands. I love the shoe because the bands stay put...no more bands sneaking up from under my foot and hurting me. They are cute too.

I've only worn these once, but I liked them. They are very light weight and comfortable. I was able to make my turns just fine; I use them for line dancing. I have a wide foot, but the mesh on these shoes are very forgiving. I had to order 1 1/2 sizes larger than my normal size, and the fit is fine.
