Love these boots. I have been searching for a few years for boots that will zip over my 16-1/2" calves. They are very comfortable with room to wear with leggings.

I am short and have despaired of finding a cute, stylish knee-height boot that would fit my wide foot & calf! This boot really did the trick. It looks great in brown, and even my teen-aged daughter says I look good enough to go out shopping with her! (: I ordered a 8.5 wide, which was just right, as I normally wear an 8. Order up half a size if you want to wear thin socks. Fitzwell is a great brand-I hadn't ever heard of them, but they make quality boots. Well worth paying a little more. I've had no problems with the gel inserts, either. Also, the leather shaft is breaking in nicely. I have worn them for hours shopping on concrete and my feet didn't hurt. The only discomfort is around the ankle area with the leather being a little stiff/folding. Overall, this is a fabulous find! I only wish these were cheaper so I could buy them in black!

These boots are absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately were not wide enough for my 18" calf. I definitely recommend measuring the widest part of your calf while standing to make sure they are closer to 17" or less for these boots. My foot fit fine though, so I would say they are true to size but need some cushioning.

Very comfortable boot and love the wide calf! It's not as wide as some of the others but it works well. I walked over 2 miles the 2nd time I work them and was completely comfortable. I think they look a little more chocolate in the photo than in person. I think they have a slight reddish undertone but they still look great.

I am not sure I am eloquent enough to describe my undying love for this boot. I have tried for years to become more fashionably hip and the need for these boots drove my to order away until I found a pair that fit my ginormous calves.. All I can say is that these boot fit like a glove and are as comfortable and have a buttery leather feeling that can only be described as heavenly.. So much so that I did order them in Black as well... the fit and the quality are what I had expected for the price, heck I was willing to pay a lot just to find a boot that would fit!! This boot fits wonderfully snug with ok arch support. I did wear them for 4 hours the other day with no discomfort and like I said earlier, they fit so I will never ever complain about these beautiful boots.. Love, love, love them.. did I mention I love them? If you have large calves shop no further. buy them and buy them in both colors, trust me you will not be disappointed one bit.

Love! Love! Love! Great boot. Fits a wider calf with ease. Very fashionable. Buckle deals give it a bit of a military styling. Leather feels soft and good quality. Have worn over 8 hours with comfort. Ordering the Black too.

Medium brown color, definitely not too dark. Comfortable footbed and fit my 16.5" calves perfectly in a size 9M. The buckles and antiqued brown color give it a steampunk feel, which is cool. The boot is a little longer toe to heel than most 9s I've tried. Width is true. Despite length, still fits fine and won't return. Medium-quality leather is nothing to write home about, but is soft and breathable and good for the price.

Very cute. First time ever a boot has zipped up my calf. But, surprisingly, the ww is not wide enough and my toes are pinching. I am so sad. I thought finally, I am joining the boots and leggings or boots and skirts crowd. How I've wanted to rock that look. But it is still not yet to be my fate. Returning them.

Color is beautiful and the boot is comfy. The calf is wider than I expected. I wish the buckles had more adjustment points to I could tighten it up better!

These boots are really cute and I have gotten lots of compliments on them. They were a little tight on my legs but leather stretches and after the first wearing they fit great. The only issue is the buckle straps, they aren't sewn on so when I cross my legs or brush against something they can catch. It's a minor thing and the cuteness far outweigh it!

I ordered these boots in the brown. They fit my calves, but were too tight in the toes, so I should have ordered a 1/2 size larger. The quality of these boots were not up to the other Fitzwells i have (the leather looks and feels so cheap), so these will be going back. I have ordered a number of Fitzwells and in the past they have run true to size; was not the case for these.

Just got these but sadly have to return them. The insole on one of the boots was torn and the gel insert was coming out. The insole is very cheaply made and looks like it would have to be replaced after little wear even if it wasn't torn. The overall quality of the boot was also disappointing. The stitching is choppy and the leather edges aren't smooth edges - sometimes hacked off at a blunt cut rather than being smoothed on a rounded edge. The style is very cute, however. The sizing seems to be spot on. I wear a 13 M and my feet sat comfortably although I don't think there is enough support for extensive walking. If these were better made, I wouldn't hesitate to exchange them for a pair with a undamaged insole but for the price I expect better quality.

These are beautiful boots and was thrilled to receive them as a Christmas gift. The first time I wore them, the brads that hold the buckle strap in place busted out. Now another one is ready to go. Cheaply made, not worth the money. Will be returning them! A shame, they are attractive and fit me well.
