Do not wash in washing machine! The shoe now smells like cat urine. No matter what I clean them with now, I cant get rid of that smell.

I'm very pleased with the 993 sneakers. First of all they are made in the USA. Hurray! It's about time you can get a shoe made in the USA. Makes me feel good to be keeping someone in a job. The sneakers are very comfortable. I indicated moderate arch support but I would say "some" support. Generally more than other sneakers I've had in the past. I'd buy them again in a flash.

This is my third pair of 993's. I am NOT a runner, but they are absolutely the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I am a photographer and am on my feet all the time. These shoes have taken me all over the globe on all types of terrain and my legs and feet have always been happy.

I will not be purchasing the cheap shoes anymore. There is definitely a big difference in support and it is worth the extra cost to go with a better quality shoe.

My sons have been ordering from Zappos for several years, and I finally ordered New Balance sneakers with great service. The local stores always seem to be out of size 10½ or 11 in my styles. Zappos had three pairs in my office within a couple of days. I have worn New Balance 991, 993 styles for over 10 years with fantastic arch support and general support. The sneakers are a great fit for my feet. My sons have had shoes going back and forth to find the style and sizes that they wanted with no hassles.

These are great sneakers! This is the third pair that I've bought. They will last for years too.

The last of the best! My 2nd pair, and plan on another in black. I use the 993's for fast walking and jogging. They are truly a quality shoe, and best of all, not made in China! If you buy anywhere other than Zappos, you are mentally challenged.

Shoes are very comfortable but they make my feet look huge. Could have gone a 1/2 size down but will make do with the pair I have.

A top-notch running shoe! They're comfortable right out of the box, and seem to keep relatively clean without much dirt and grime collecting on the exterior. It can be hard to find the perfect fit, as some running shoes tend to run a bit tight, while others seem to run way too large; these run a bit perfect! I couldn't be happier with the purchase; you get what you pay for!

The shoes fit great, which is saying a lot for size 13AA. And considering I used to have to drive 25 miles to get to a store that offered similar sizes, I now have the luxury of getting my shoes delivered right to my door. For free.

Love them! I have peroneal tendonitis (inflamed tendons on the exterior sides of my feet), and these provide a fairly rigid sole with great support, stability, and comfort.

I recently went on a 3 week vacation, with a lot of walking. These shoes are very comfy and they were not even broken in. I will continue to use for both walking and running.

I bought these for my husband and he loves them. He is a 10M and the fit was true. We've walked for miles together, and his feet remained very comfortable.

My husband has had several pairs of this New Balance style. He won't wear anything else. He said they are comfortable. He wears the gray ones. I think they look really nice with jeans. I sometimes don't like a really white looking tennis shoe on men with jeans. I bought a pair for my dad in the gray and navy from Zappos. They are also a really nice looking shoe. They both wear them all the time. They said the shoes had an excellent arch support.

Great shoes: well made and comfortable. Took a few days to get used to having nice running shoes after getting by with my old, cruddy ones. After that, bliss!

One of the best shoes I have ever purchased. Equally suited for running around town or wearing with a pair of khakis, these shoes have become an all-time favorite!

I have spent most of my life toting around heavy arch-supporting footwear. In my retirement, I wanted shoes that were lighter and more comfortable and would fit the long, narrow skies with which nature endowed me. If you have shopped for width 2A in man's shoes, you know they are not easy to find. The New Balance MR993 fills my bill perfectly, and looks good in the process. In fact, I've now purchased three pair of them.

Very comfortable for walking; would have preferred a little dresser look (e.g., light or dark brown) for touring in Europe. New Balance shoes have given long service in the past. Appreciate New Balance's selection of widths - I have narrow feet.

Shoes are excellent! I work on my feet ten hours a day so comfort and stability are a must. These shoes deliver great performance.

I just lost 23 lbs in 4 weeks wearing my new New Balance shoes. True story, I spent 2 weeks straight working out in these shoes at the Pritikin Longevity Center in Miami. I find these shoes to be very comfortable and they provide good support. I love them. I would definitely buy another pair!

What can you say, this is an American icon. Great shoe. Long walks are a joy, even with my shoddy knees. Buy with total confidence. These shoes have been around for a long time, and probably stay a while longer! I have two pair and I alternate. They also breathe well in the hot Florida summers.

Surprisingly sturdy, on our gravel roads, they haven't looked grungy yet. They have a generous toe box good for thick socks. I am reluctant to take these off they are so comfortable.

Actually placed order later in the day and was advised they would arrive in 2 days. Sure enough they arrived the next morning. Fantastic service.
