This belt looks amazing, Unfortunately the leather bonded coating comes off very quickly and shows a florescent orange underneath.

I do not believe this is belt leather. I purchased this belt at the Raleigh store in May 2013. By July 2013, the "brown colored substance" depicted as leather rubbed off under the buckle and exposed an orange colored material. The belt is stamped: Made in China.

I buy most of my shoes and belts from JM but I think this belt has a coloration problem. I have exchnged it 2 times and each time your store managers give me a different story. I am getting ready to bring it back again for a fourth belt as I have it only a little over a year and I have other belts that are many years old and still look new. I am a 67 year old Real Estate Broker so my lifestyle is usually dressy and not to rigorous. Call me dissapointed.

This would have been a great belt, other than for the fact that the leather stain is very easily removed. I purchased the brown, and after my very first wearing (normal day at the office) the brown had fully stripped away to the uncolored (i.e. gray/beige/sandpaper color) natural leather underneath in the spot where the buckle clasp makes perpendicular contact with the leather. If you choose this belt and know with certainty that you will ALWAYS use the same belt closure hole, it may not bother you because the buckle will always be in the same place covering the defect. If however you sometimes use different belt closure holes, as I sometimes do, depending on the fit of the trousers or whatever other reason, the vertical strip of uncolored leather will be a focal point in front, right next to the buckle hardwear. I returned the belt within the first few days but only got store credit.

Leather wore away after 2 weeks. Almost like it was "leather-plated" and not actual leather. Store said it was a fluke. Returned and got a new one... will try again.

After only a few weeks, worn about six times, the dye color was removed where the buckle overlapped. Not impressed but was easily returned to store without any trouble.
