Great boots, but sole on left shoe is slightly coming off, it will only get worse!

The Zappos Size Chart says a USA 11 = EUR 44, but this isn't true for Timberland. According to the Timberland Adult Footwear Size Chart, a USA men's size 11 is a EUR 45. I had to return and order a pair in 10.5 in hopes of getting an EU 44.5 Hopefully won't have to trade down for a 10 to get my normal 44. Otherwise, the boots seem pretty well constructed for this price point, lightweight and comfortable with a wide enough toe box.

I have bought this style for years and years, this is the first time I had to order half size larger. They are about an inch higher in the ankle part than my previous purchases and I wish Timberland still made the all-leather waterproof version....other than that they feel great and I'm excited to wear them as my previous pair is a wreck after 4-5 years.

I work at a garden center as the main waterer so I am constantly getting my feet wet all day. I bought these boots to protect my feet from getting wet and because they look/feel great. I bought them back in November and it is now april. The shoes have since look worn out and are no longer waterproof. This saddens me because they feel great and look great. I will still be wearing these outside of work but I have to find a new pair to protect myself from water.

I am on my fifth pair of these Timberland boots which are by far the most comfortable hiking boots I have been able to find for my feet (note: I have flat feet). I hike the Grand Canyon every year and get up to Colorado to get 2 or 3 14er's in every year in addition to regular local hikes, and I have never gotten a blister. They provide excellent support and great traction in a variety of conditions. My only complaint is that the tread seems to wear pretty fast and I have had the sole separate on one of my boots (fixed with some epoxy), and I usually only get about 18 months out of a pair.

I've been looking for a pair of hiking boots that I can buy over and over again and get the same results, and I feel like I get that with these boots. I just wish that I could get a bit more mileage out of them.

I usually take a 10-1/2 EE but when I bought these recently, I needed to go up to the 11. Also, I do a lot of active hiking including rocks, rough terrain so I put serious mileage on these boots but was surprised that the tread only lasted about 5 mos and then I needed to buy another pair. Very comfortable once they're broken in but wish the tread lasted longer.

Very comfortable as work boots on concrete, but on the trail, the vertical seam they decided to put in the dead-center of the heal rubbed the whole length of my achilles far above where I'd usually expect a blister; sock liners helped, though. The seams eventually leaked a little on both pairs I've owned, even with regular oiling.

I bought a pair of these boots in 2009 and they lasted me 11 years. They were the best boot I ever owned. I used them for hiking, working, and casual dress ups. I recently decided to pull the trigger on a new pair. I liked the look of the updated model, however I wore them for one day and my feet were killing me. Obviously they need to be broken in but I also feel as though they are not as comfortable and very narrow.

I buy this for the third time. They are comfortable, lightweight, non-slippery, with a membrane. They last for two seasons, then the skin bursts. But they are cheap and therefore I buy them again and again.

Boots seem to fit OK BUT the laces are several inches short. They are not long enough to use the top clasp. This is very disappointing.

They look fantastic. Great for rain and snow, keeps feet dry. I have flat feet, and I wish they had an extra wide size. Would buy again if they offered the wider option. Overall great boots.

Very well made boot. Just too narrow. I ordered & got W/2E, but but I think I would need 3E.

I wear an 8 wide shoe and ordered the same size in EE width. Although the shoe is quite comfortable it is narrow and somewhat tight on the width. Based on other comments apparently the Timberland shoes are typically narrow relative to their claimed sizing. I have worn these shoes for about a week and have no issues with the support and comfort other than the width which I'm hoping will improve as they are broken in. They do seem a bit warm so I am concerned if I will be able to use them in the summer.

So far these boots seems similar to another pair of Timberland boots I've had. I'm a fan of these boots. They're comfortable and keep my feet warm. I haven't had the chance to put them through put them to rough weather test but since winter is here I'm sure that will be soon.

The good: This is my second pair from zappos, literally the most comfortable shoe/boot I have I have no issues with comfort and support after wearing these 10+ hours a day. It is somewhat water resistant, and I do not have issues with breathability. Traction is moderate, performs well on wet grass and mud. I wear these at work at my gardening job. And on the trail so these get alot of time on my feet. The ankle support is good i've broken my ankle and this gives me some ankle support. The bad: The soles wear out quick, the orange traction "spikes" wear out fast. I walk on a combination of surfaces, hard pack dirt, grass soft dirt, etc. some asphalt. They wear out quickly. The rest of the shoe is in good condition from my other pair but the sole wears out fast. I would say that the sole is the bad part of this shoe but I will admit i use these more than what it was intended for. Waterproof is a bit overstated, the occasional splash or puddle is ok but eventually it will soak through, I have not used sno seal but i think i will put some on to make it more waterproof. I think the foot bed could be a bit harder if you are walking on rough terrain with rocks. Overall: I love this boot, reminds me of a hightop sneaker but more rugged and very comfortable, I am on my feet alot for leisure or work and I am heavy and this keeps my feet happy. I wish the soles lasted longer but thats ok the rest of the boot is well constructed and this is something I would resole. I would treat the shoe with sno seal for more waterproofing if desired. And the lace combo of speed laces at the top is appreciated. Padding at the top of the ankle and tounge padding is nice. Thanks Zappos!
