Excellent shoe if you are walking or on your feet a lot - These shoes are soo comfortable and look great for a professional look at work. I just had knee surgery and needed shoes that were lower heeled and stable, but I still wanted to look good. They really do. Made well and totally worth the money.

Great Shoe! These shoes are great when you are on your feet for long periods of time during your work; they appear to be almost a "boot" when worn with slacks. I have difficulties with my feet due to arthritis, and these shoes worked for me!

Most Comfortable Shoe Ever - My sister has had this shoe for quite awhile and always raves about the comfort it provides. It is her vacation shoe to wear with jeans when doing a lot of walking. I decided to give it a try and agree with her totally. I am a teacher and on my feet throughout the day. This is one of the best shoes I have tried. I am extremely pleased.

The Perfect Walking Shoe for Travel - I spent a long time trying to find the perfect shoe for my recent trip to Paris, Barcelona and 7 day Med Cruise. I found it in this shoe. Wore it on the entire 3 week trip. It looks great with any kind of pant. I even wore it in the evenings when on the ship. Got tons of complements on the appearance of this shoe. Ordered another pair when I got home.

Great everyday shoe - These shoes were very comfortable right out of the box. I have an average toe box area but a narrow heel. I ordered these shoes based on previous reviews. They were right on target. My foot doesn't slip out of the shoe at all. I wish they had a bit more embellishment though.

Loving Merrell Spire - These shoes are comfortable and have a professional look with pants. I was suffering with plantar fasciitis for 5 months and these are one of the few pairs of shoes that bring me comfort.

Love these shoes! These shoes are not only good looking but comfortable as well. I only wish the shoe came with more colors options. These can be easily worn with casual as well as dress pants. Definitely worth the price.

Vacation shoes - Bought these for our trip to California. Lots of airport terminal walking but no problem with these shoes.

Great shoes, comfortable and classy for work (I'm a receptionist) the heal is just a little higher than I would prefer but the comfort is great aside from that.

After many trials with shoes I have finally found something that is comfortable. I am on my feet for many hours at a time and do a ton of walking. I've had Danskos and Clarks all claiming to be super comfortable but they do not top these shoes!! They aren't super stylish but they aren't matronly looking at all. There is a nice little heel which gives some height and the insole is great along with the arch support. I absolutely love the non slip sole! I'm always afraid of slipping and falling and these help ease my mind. My only complaints; I have a very high instep (my feet look like Barbie feet) and these shoes are very hard for me to slide on. Even with socks they are tough. Not quite finding the stretch as stated in the name. Also, I would definitely recommend wearing socks otherwise you'll end up with blisters and sore feet.

I ordered this for an upcoming trip and wanted a waterproof shoe that didn't look like a tennis shoe. This shoe fits the bill. It is difficult to get on without a shoehorn, but once it is on, it is very comfortable, looks nice, and will definitely stay on your foot too. However, I am returning this because I would prefer a shoe that is easier to get on and off. Other than that, it is a great shoe.

This shoe looks nice with dress pants at the office, but I have one complaint. It's REALLY difficult to get my foot into this shoe -- the opening is very tight. I need a shoehorn every time I wear them. Once on, however, they're comfortable, even for lots of standing and walking.

Well made, nice shoes; however, other than the heel, the sole is not thick enough to give me good support.

Lovely shoes - very disappointed that I have to return them. The backs of the shoes slide up and down my heels as I walk. The front part of the shoes fit but are on the snug side.

I have arthritis in my big toe so it's hard to find cute and fashionable, comfortable shoes. These Merrells do the trick. They are very supportive and comfortable. And I get nice comments on them. I work them for a full day on a convention floor with no problems. What I have a problem with is that they are hard to get on. There isn't much give and I really need a show horn to slide my troubled foot into the shoe. Other than that - great shoes.

I've always loved Merrells as a casual shoe and wished they made shoes I could wear to work (at an office). This pair is perfect! They are dressy enough to wear with trousers but just as comfortable as my casual shoes. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that I had a very, very difficult time getting them on my feet. Once they're on, they feel wonderful. So, I'm buying a shoe horn to help get them on.

I love these shoes - super comfortable, have been wearing them almost every day for 9 months, to work. Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is that they can only be worn with stocking socks - even thin cotton socks are two thick - but they are definitely waterproof and super comfortable.

I'm always try to buy Merrell shoes since I'm on my feet all day. The only problem I had with them was it was very hard to put on. I couldn't just slip them on since they are very snugged around the top area. It felt narrower then what I expected. I returned the first pair for a half size bigger just to slip on easier. It still was a but difficult. When I called the customer service was fantastic helping me. They were very helpful and professional. I think it's just made extremely snugged at the top. With that said they are extremely comfortable to work. I love the style and would buy another pair but I do hope they would not make it too tight on top. If I had to though I would definitely buy them again for work and the comfort walking all day.

I bought these shoes to wear on a five day trip to Washington, D.C., including walking through the airports. I tried them out before going on the trip, and they felt wonderful. They did work well for the miles we walked in Washington. The only caveat was that pounding the pavement made my heels ache, so I added heel cushions. Since returning, I have continued wearing the shoes (with and without the heel pads). These are good all-purpose walking shoes that look good with pants.

They are tight to get on at first because the opening at the top is rather small. The opening does stretch some to help you get them on and does loosen up over time. I almost returned them because of this. I'm glad I did not because they have excellent arch support and gives my body good posture.

I wear these every day to work. They are very comfortable shoes but they fell apart fairly quickly considering I sit at a desk all day. They didn't even last one year.

I have wide feet and found these very comfortable. They are a good balance between comfort and style. I like the little bit of a heel but comfortable to walk in all day. Got bored with them and tried other shoes but now I'm coming back and buying these again.

These shoes are very nice looking and nicely made. I was so hoping that they would fit and feel as good as they look. The shoe insole is very thin feeling. Putting in my Aetrex insole helped, but took up too much room in the toe box putting too much pressure on my bunion and deformed toe. The heels slipped a bit, even with socks. The right heel collar was very tight and bit into my Achilles tendon. Ouch! Getting into the shoe with socks (how I would wear them), was a struggle without a shoe horn. So sorry, for they were pretty much what I was looking for. The search continues.

Last review was a year ago? I love the looks of this shoe. I think it will be comfortable, but just got it. The only problem I find so far is the right heel seems to squeak. This is the second pair I've tried, and have the same problem after Zappos quickly replaced the first pair. Has anyone else had this problem? I really want to keep these, as I think it's a very classy look, and like other Merrell shoes, I'm sure will be quite comfortable, but gave it four stars, only because I haven't had it long enough to know.
