I'm comparing this shoe with others I had: black Jungle Moc with a flatter suede pile than this one & one that was black leather. At present I have a brown suede Jungle Moc that always looks a bit sloppy, leaving impressions from everything that touches it. i'm looking forward to Merrill's making the latter once again.

A good looking slip on moc. I was in search of a hearty non-slip black shoe that would protect my feet in a rigorous 8 hr work shift. I am very happy with my purchase.

Love the slip on nature. I use orthotics and these shoes are great. I always buy a half size larger so fit isnt usually a problem.

I actually sent the shoe back because it was not comfortable. I wanted to be able to wear the moc without socks, or with a thin liner. But the sides rubbed against my ankle bone, and the tongue came up too high on the top of my foot. Since I could not wear these without socks, I wouldn't wear them with shorts, and that is what I wanted.

I bought them for a friend and the size was just a little larger than wanted .Buying half size smaller ;)

I have very delicate feet, I have no flesh on the top part of my foot and any part of shoe tha'ts not 100% smooth even like stitching or a fold inside the shoe irritates my foot terribly. I couldn't find a wearable shoe (and I tried many shoes and styles) until I found this Merrell shoe. It's the only shoe that works for me. I also have orthotics and they fit very comfortably in them. I'm very grateful for this. The only problem I have with this shoe is that the tongue of the shoe is a drop too high for my foot and cuts into the front of my foot (near the ankle). I suffer from it until it gets very soft and than I'm fine.

I have worn this same shoe for 20 plus years. They are a sturdy shoe that can be slipped on without having to bend over and put on with your hands, a great advantage when flying. This style is not the waterproof one, but I have been in lots of water and my feet were always dry. I do have one gripe, it is that the innersole is not very good. It seems like it is made from the plastic that is used for the meat you buy at the store, hard and makes a funny squeak sound after a week or so. This has happened from the last 3 pairs I have bought. I now by cheep soft foam and cut to size to replace the ones I remove. May-be someone from Merrell will see this and look into it.

I recently ordered this Jungle Moc in Gunsmoke to supplement the black pair I have been wearing for 2 years (still serviceable). Delivery was speedy, but after trying them on I decided I needed the next size up. I re-ordered and was delighted when they arrived in 4 days and felt great on my feet. The Gunsmoke color is closer to beige than olive, i.e. different than it appears online, but still acceptable to me as an alternative to black. I have returned the smaller size and hope to receive my refund soon.

This must be my 6th pair. They are comfy, warm, and get pretty good traction in the snow. Also easy to slip on and off when you come in and out of the door. My only complaint - the sole tread wears down after a couple of winters.

They seem a little tighter than I expected. Not too tight to wear but tighter.

These shoes are very comfortable and perfect for the colder months. Easy to put on. A good grip on snow too.

Have been wearing the Jungle Moc aka the Winter Moc for at least ten years. I love them. They provide excellent support, they are easy to slip into, the black suede matches everything. I wear them three seasons and for a walk in the woods. The top of the moc is very durable, maintaining its appearance with an occasional brushing with a copper brush. The down side is that the tread wears out, particularly on the heal, making it very slippery. on wet floors, snow, and ice.

My first moc in black purchased 15 years ago was comfortable from the start and became my favorite go-to shoes for everyday and any activity requiring dependable short term or all day comfort. They are my favorites and have held up for the long term, but have finally shown wear in the soles and black suede. The new pair is Gunsmoke instead of black and look good, and most importantly, are comfortable and fit well right from the start. I'm thrilled to have a new pair of my favorite shoes available still today. My only concern is that the top edges of suede near the elastic seem to want to curl. The previous pair had piping that never curled. A friend's pair from about three years ago didn't have piping, but had thicker or reinforced suede that controlled curling. Without piping or reinforced edges, the new shoe edges already show a propensity to curl. Regardless, these are the most comfortable shoes I've owned, and this new pair is a go right out of the box, and can't be beat for comfort and fit.
