This is the 6th pair of this model I have purchased. They are walk and wear all-day comfortable, but I use them mostly for daily hikes on improved trails. They get an average 30+ miles per week and last around a year each. I love them and would recommend them for anyone wanting a comfortable, durable, warm weather hiker.

I ordered my usual size, 7.5 wide, and they fit great! I bought them specifically for hiking, but I like the look and fit so much I wear them almost every day. After about 2 weeks of every day wearing, I finally got the chance to wear them for a short hike, and they performed really well. I hope to wear them for some longer hikes. I'm seriously considering buying a second pair for when these need replacement - that's how much I like them!

I wasn't sure if these shoes would work out for our trip to Europe. I broke then in, at home, and I was on the fence if they'd be comfy enough. Lo and behold, they worked beautifully in Europe! We were there, in fall, and I felt safe walking through rainy streets. We took two gondola rides, where there was snow on the mountain. The shoes worked great in the snow! These are a keeper, and they do offer the arch support that I need.

Someone I was traveling with had these shoes and they caught my eye. I've been wearing Keens and swear by them for durability and comfort. But these so appealed to me I thought I'd try. I've tried to buy Merrell's before but they never worked for me, but I finally realized I needed 'wide" width. My usual size sort of fit, but seemed that my toes were pretty far back, so I ordered half size smaller to compare. Thanks Zappos. Turns out they fit fine...and even better once I put in Superfeet insoles. These shoes are light considering the thickness of the sole. And while toe protection isn't as much as Keens' they have what I consider to be pretty good protection. I'm happy to have this shoe: a bit lighter and more color choices than Keen. I'll use both. And look at the price! Less than $100 for a quality shoe.

I've never purchased hiking shoes before, but I bought these recently for a vacation in which I did quite a bit of light hiking. (Not sure if they'd be good for heavier hiking.) These shoes were great! So comfortable that I was able to wear them for hours without any discomfort. They had a lot of traction and totally fit the bill! Highly recommend!

This is my second pair of Merrell Moab Ventilators and they were MUCH welcome when they arrived! My first pair had been worn for a little over 2 years (approximately 270 days a year) for hiking, dog walks, work, etc.; and at the end of 2 years, for lawn mowing. My old pair is still here and delegated for just that now, mowing and yard work. Still a bit of "life" to them! This new pair reminded me of why I bought them though; comfort, great arch support, lots of toe room, perfect. Plus they look a lot better than my "older" pair that has been put through a LOT! I normally wear an 8.5 (which I ordered) and have plenty of room w/a thinner/medium weight pair of socks. Thx Zappos for getting these to me SO quickly! They were much needed and are now very appreciated.

Nice & sturdy. Because I overpronate, I need a shoe with side support that won't collapse & this fits the bill. With a Superfeet Insole inside, it's perfect!

Finally. I have had tried Keen and Kuru, both great brands, but these are a great fit with huge room in the toe box - necessary for me to feel comfortable. I'm wearing the 8-1/2 wide, and feel great arch support and overall happiness.

Just wore these shoes for two days hiking with the family (including dogs that pull) in Prescott, AZ. They were comfortable and gave me the right combination of breathability and support. I just had surgery on my big toe in March. I could hike several hours in these and barely notice my toe - big win! Also, they don't rub my heels, which is the primary reason I chose them over the Keen Voyagers I've worn in the past.

Pleased with the fit and comfort of this shoe, would buy again.

Merrell's had good reviews, so I thought I'd try a pair. They're great! I wore them around the house all day and my feet didn't complain a bit. These will be perfect for an active vacation in Arizona riding horses & hiking.

Very comfortable from the first day. No break in period. Wore on vacation right out of the box. Walked 5+ Miles/day. Very happy with these.

These are so comfortable I kept them even though they are a hiking shoe and I was looking for something more like a walking shoe. Great support (wonderful arch support) and wide enough. They are not as bulky or heavy as most hiking shoes.

These are the everything hiking shoe! SUPER LIGHTWEIGHT which for me was an unexpected benefit. I bought these days before travelling to Colorado where i hiked in Beaver Creek and Vail. Of course i was in luck since Zappos made sure i received them on the next business day. You're not supposed to wear new shoes on new hikes but i had to and these were PERFECT. No sore feet, no blisters, crazy lightweight and great looking to boot!I may only be a novice hiker, but these fit the bill and I will use them on my home neighborhood trails too.

Good sturdy shoe. I am on my feet all day and frequently on concrete. They have good cushioning and support. My feet are slightly wide so I ordered the wide and will have room for thicker socks when needed. I am happy w the purchase:)

I'm usually skeptical when reviewers claim their shoes are comfortable right out of the box....But, wow! These hiking shoes are just what I've been looking for-- lightweight and flexible, but with firm, grippy soles. I have an uncomfortable bunion, plus generally wide feet, and while I can usually find shoes in wide widths, often they are equally wide in the heel, and the heel slips a lot. Not so with these Merrell Moabs. The toe box is roomy but the heel is normal-- just like the average wide foot. I haven't taken them on a hike yet but have tromped around the house with them on for a couple of hours, and they feel great. Bravo to Merrell and thank you to Zappos.

Got these because I walk a lot - inner city living, no car - and had a stress fracture in my foot, my own fault because despite walking miles a day I was cavalier about footwear. Ordered these (never had Merrell) before, put them on, and wow. Fit is excellent, very true to size, I'm a 38 wide or 39 medium and got the 39 medium, fine with thicker socks. Light yet robust. Good stability, rigid enough in the sole to help the stress fracture but still flexible. Arches I can't comment on; I have high arches so never feel shoe support, but seems it would be helpful if you need it so I put it at moderate. Seems to be a little wider in the toe box than a medium; but that was good news for me.

Normally I wear 7.5 but ordered 8 and that was perfect. Easy and very comfortable with good arch support. Wish I would have chosen the more feminine color but that's nothing against the shoe!

Zappos is my favorite on-line 'store' due to their extensive shoe selection, 'easy to navigate' website and rapid shipping.

These shoes are true to size. They are very comfortable and give great support. They are very light weight which is good since I spend 8 hours a day on my feet and these shoes get me through the day.

Normally a size 8.5 in most dress shoes (sometimes a 9). I go up to a 9.5 or a 10 in running shoes typically (Brooks). Ended up with a 9 in these and had to order them in wide because the side of my foot squeezed at the top. I've never been a wide in my life!. These are slippery when wet, but feel great climbing dry trails. No hotspots. My fiance is a men's size 11 (neutral shoe) and ended up with a 11M. Can't wait to try these day hiking in Banff!

These are by far the most comfortable shoes I have...and the best for working in the yard! I've had two bunion surgeries and my feet are fussy. These provide plenty of support. In fact I'm purchasing another pair for when these are wet and muddy.
